Avoid this company.

Horrible experience. We have ordered some expensive easter eggs for our nephews and niece, as we wanted to give them a nice surprise. They arrived today and the packaging has been ripped and they seemed to obviously been opened and repackaged. After sending an email to the costumer service they asked if we would be OK with a £5 refund. Its a kids present, the safety of the children and their delight at the packaging is literally the whole experience, and the reason we paid £30 for each egg. What a Joke, I will be returning the full order, and would suggest anyone considering buying from this website to stick to safer options like sous chef. Absolutely avoid.

Having ordered from this website quite a few times, I am very pleased with the products I received so far. Such a variety of products from across the globe.
The panettone I ordered looks amazing and I can’t wait to try it on Christmas Day.

Bad Communication and Delivery Service

Originally ordered items on 29/11, with 3/4 day delivery requested and paid for with confirmation received on the same day. On 1 December, I had confirmation from Evri they were expecting the item. Evri were still expecting the item on 4 December. On 4th and 5th December I contacted LemonSalt requesting cancellation and refund. They did this quickly, stating “ It appears that your parcel has unfortunately been misplaced within the EVRI network, which is why the tracking still shows them "awaiting delivery" from us.”

Hoping that LemonSalt had checked with Evri and had the basic common sense to tell them to cancel the delivery, should it ever be found, I thought this episode was done and handled well by LemonSalt.

On 7 December I received a mail from Evri informing me they have my item from LemonSalt and will let me know when it’s out for delivery.

Is this a scam by LemonSalt to get the customer to pay for goods they have cancelled and received a refund for or sheer incompetence? Have sent two messages to LemonSalt, via email and their website, requesting they contact Evri and cancel this delivery. Time will tell which it is…..

Price seemed too good for the item

Brought some tea which arrived in decent time -- BUT I thought the pricing was too good for this reputable brand.

On LemonSalt's website, the picture does not match the description, and what arrives is a box that looks nothing like the usual font and design of this company. These *fake* sachets look like they've got the same font found on Microsoft word than the usual product which has much more design put into them; they're paper when the company usually uses an elegant film; the tea bags are flat and rectangle when usually they're triangular. All in all everything's wrong about these. I don't know whether this company is trying to make some money without realising they're not selling a legit product or it's deliberate -- I leave feeling disappointed by my experience.

From reading the other 1 star reviews' I'm sure the customer service team will find a way to discredit this review. There is no reason for me to write this other than to warn others to trust your gut. I checked this website before I purchased - I regret wasting my time.

Absolutely shocking company

Absolutely shocking company!

I ordered a candle for my mother’s birthday which arrived but it was the wrong scent. Emailed straight away to ask for the correct one to be sent and they offered me a replacement once the original one had been returned. I was then informed that the one I originally wanted was out of stock and no idea when it was coming back in.

The worst customer experience I have had in a very long time!

Do not order anything from this website!

Exceptional customer service


I had an issue with a delivery that didn’t arrive, and LemonSalt went above and beyond to help(wasn't their fault).
They responded quickly, kept me updated, and even sent out a replacement before the original parcel had returned to them. delivered today
Really impressed with how professional, kind, and efficient they were.
Will definitely recommend to friends.

A friend mentioned this company. I placed an order and then saw the reviews so I was a bit concerned. Happy to report I had a v good experience. Good communication from Lemonsalt. I received everything I ordered and it's all lovely

Very disappointed

Very disappointed - don't waste your money!
Very disappointed in my recent LemonSalt experience. I bought several products of which two were extremely poor in quality. Having raised this with the company they say they 'cannot provide a refund based on taste or preference'.

How is one to evaluate quality, except through previous experience of high quality and excellent condition - which is based on taste and preference?!

I cannot believe they are giving this excuse for shoddy products and taking no accountability for their suppliers. Poor. Avoid wasting your money!

EDIT: The comment below from the company is a lie. Nothing was offered to me to sort out this poor product issue. Furious.

Defamatory!? Nope just honest, ya salty lemons

I see that LemonSalt have attempted to have my last review removed by TP as "defamatory". There was nothing defamatory, I expect they are trying to improve on their untrustworthy score. To reiterate I'll write another review to ensure consumers are fairly warned about their delivery promises; I paid £8.99 at 8.30am on Thursday 1st for express 24 hour delivery and had not received the item 72 working-day-hours later so requested a refund. They rude agent muttered something about Fridays not being included as a "week day". I am mindful that some religions do not work on Fridays, but it is a moot point as it went past the 48hr mark if you did not include Friday anyway. - So even if one of TPs bots does take down the original, I will keep this up. Under another name if I have to. I don't like being lied to, treated like a fool and offered no recompense for a service I did not receive. Here's an idea Lemonsalt, why don't you try to improve your score by putting effort into better customer service instead of getting honest reviews removed.

Avoid This Store – Poor Service & Used Goods Passed as New

I ordered a Dualit kettle and toaster set from Lemon Salt’s online store, expecting brand-new items. What I received was anything but. The kettle showed clear signs of previous use: limescale buildup, fingerprints, water residue, and even paint marks on the base. It was obvious this product had been used before.

I immediately contacted their customer service team and provided photos to support my concerns. To their credit, they did offer a replacement. However, when you’re spending £210 on what should be a brand-new set, it’s unacceptable to receive secondhand goods. I politely declined the replacement and requested a full refund instead. I also expressed frustration about having to drive two towns over to return the product, along with the time I’d already spent chasing responses via email and phone. I felt that some form of compensation was warranted for the inconvenience.

After two days with no response, I returned the product using the prepaid Evri label they provided and followed up via email with proof of return, again asking for refund confirmation and addressing the issue of compensation—still no reply.

I then called customer service. The representative acknowledged he could see all my emails (which raised the question—why hadn’t anyone responded?). He confirmed they would process a refund but offered no email confirmation. When I asked about compensation, I was told they “don’t do that,” there’s no complaints department, and I couldn’t speak to a supervisor.

This level of service is unacceptable. A company that can’t properly address complaints or offer solutions when they make serious errors shouldn’t be in business.

Save yourself the stress. Their slightly cheaper prices are not worth the hassle. I’ll be heading to John Lewis—paying a bit more for peace of mind and genuinely professional service.

At LemonSalt, we take great pride in the quality of our service and products, and we sincerely regret that you received an item that did not meet those expectations. To clarify, we do not sell second-hand merchandise under any circumstances. Unfortunately, in this case, the item you received was mistakenly included in our stock by our supplier. It was originally intended to be returned to the manufacturer and was accidentally dispatched to us—an error that should not have reached our customer.

We understand how frustrating this must have been, especially given the time and effort you spent resolving the issue. Upon receiving your initial complaint, we did offer a full replacement immediately. When you declined this, we issued a full refund as requested.

Regarding compensation, we want to explain transparently that our system (hosted via Shopify) does not permit us to issue refunds beyond the original payment amount. This is a platform limitation and not a policy of unwillingness. We did offer goodwill gestures in the form of discount vouchers and gift cards, which were respectfully declined.

We apologise once again for this unfortunate experience. While this situation was exceptional and highly unusual, we take full responsibility and are reviewing internal procedures to ensure this does not happen again.

After a shaky start in trying to contact customer services, for which we have received an explanation and apology, this company has provided excellent support. They could not have been more helpful in resolving our issue. I would recommend using this company.

Item smelled awful

The company themselves are very good at posting orders off in good time. I ordered two big bags of macadamia nuts and another bag of mixed nuts that all arrived in good time. This evening, i opened one of the macadamia bag for my visitors, and they smelled completely rancid. The smell was so bad that I felt nauseous. We regularly order our macadamia from a different company, and they've never, ever, given off a bad smell. How disappointing...

Unopened package label removed, their returns label attached. Scanned in at local Evri point & notification of delivery back to them received this afternoon.

A bitter sweet experience that leads me to praise this company! To thank them again! And to highly recommend x
