I rang up as I was looking for a solicitor to help with change of name deeds. The lady who answered the phone was really rude and short, said she would get someone to ring me back and they never did.

I dont ever leave reviews but have to with these guys, Have been dealing with Catrin with various matters, nothing is to much trouble, goes out of her way to help, if you need a solcitor you have to use these, honest and genuine advice, I cant thank Catrin enough, Definitely on my chritmas Card list, you are Awesome Catrin

I initially made contact with Romeo who was very friendly and quick to get the ball rolling. The whole team was on the ball and proactively keeping me up to date at the beginning of the process. Unfortunately things slowed down in the middle. However, having escalated the issue, the team listened to me and quickly put things right.

Adnan took over my case and did an exceptional job in progressing our matters forward through a number of challenges we faced. Adnan was proactive at keeping me up to date and was fast to respond. Both Amanda and Adnan went above and beyond to ensure that we exchanged and completed on time.

I felt like we worked as a team rather than it being a transactional relationship.

I was very excited to instruct this firm for my first property purchase but I’m starting to have my doubts. They were rushing me to pay the first payment of £500 so my assigned solicitor can get in touch with me and proceed with my matter (I was in talks with their business development manager beforehand).

After they received my initial payment (Thursday 24/10), I got a template email on Friday 25/10 to share which stage of the process I’m at.

On Monday 28/10 I made a call to my solicitor and it soon became apparent that she has limited experience when dealing with far East countries and the different practices involved. This could cause unnecessary delay and complications I'd rather not experience. The following day I had a change of heart so emailed the firm to enquire about a refund, only to be told they would only be refunding me a total of £68(after VAT)!

I’m shocked as I haven’t sent them any documents to be reviewed.

My purchase quote of their legal fee is £795 plus VAT so which means they charged me almost half of it just after a day I was assigned a solicitor without having any of my documents being reviewed.

Be wary if you are thinking to instruct them.

I recently purchased a property in the UK with the help of Adnan Rafique at Lewis & Co. This was my first foray into the UK property market having come from another country. The legal process was quite different to what I am used to and at times I felt vulnerable due to my lack of experience. However, Adnan was very supportive, providing good advice on how to proceed with the transaction. It was not without its tricks but Adnan was great to deal with and helped us complete the transaction on time. I would definitely use Lewis & Co again and highly recommend Adnan's work.

On the whole a positive experience selling a property and buying a property through Lewis and Co. Adnan and Allan were professional, explained processes they were undertaking and communicated effectively throughout. My sale stalled a couple of times but both Adnan and Allan continued diligently. We ended up exchanging and completing on the same day, which was stressful, but Lewis and Co kept me updated and we completed on the scheduled day. I would recommend Lewis and Co. We were selling and buying a long way from their offices but that was of no hindrance at all.

The case had been on going for 18 months but we finally reached an agreement thanks to Sajaad assistances. Sajaad was informative, consistent with responsive and very helpful in dealing with this daunting case. His consistent updates helped to keep my mind at ease as it helps you feel that a compitant solicitor is dealing with your case. Freehold House/ Fist time buyer/ No Chain - 8 weeks

Staff: Excellent, especially Pooja, Valerie, Sajad, Adnan & Romeo. I dealt with everyone of them and everyone is customer friendly & soft spoken.

Price/Fee: Reasonable & competitive in the current market. One of my reasons to choose them is price without compromising on the service.

Service: Good, knowledgable conveyancer and smooth transaction. They are on most lenders' panel, especially Halifax (you should check this before instructing).

Timescale: I think, i was slightly disappointed on this aspect because my case was initially assigned to a conveyancer, who was on leave during the process and hence did not meet my expected completion date. However, when Pooja took up my case things kept rolling and was satisfactory towards the end. (Thanks Pooja).

Communication: Excellent, answered my calls every single time and responded to my emails promptly.

Overall, I would recommend Lewis & Co (especially to first time buyers who are new to Conveyancing process) for their service & friendly staff.

Romeo provides a proactive service which is a rare quality in a solicitor's firm form my experience. Romeo also has a excellent bed side manor with clients.

A few months after using Lewis and Co they got in touch when it was found that there was a small balance owed to us. Not only were they honest in letting us know (we won't have been any wiser), but they also added a small interest on the refund that had accumulated. Great guys! Highly recommended and look forward to using them in future!
