Terrible Customer Service

I placed an order in November.
Its March and I still do not have it.
There has been delays with the arrival into the country, delays with shipping and now they have cancelled my delivery twice, after requiring me to be home to accept delivery.
There is simply no way to navigate compensation once they have your money. Steer Clear.

Misleading practices. Absolutely no accountability.

The reviews say it all to be honest. I was hoping for a better experience but even at pre-sales, this company has no accountability.

Misleading customers with a specific advertised price but not willing to fulfill orders at prices they’ve listed. It’s not one item, it’s multiple items across their range.

Customer service initially confirmed they could see the same pricing on their end, but later reverted their stance to excusing it as issues with them “not approving” their own ads. Diabolical for such a big retailer.

Would never again order from Life Interiorse a 0 rating

If I could give a 0 rating, I would. The service has been absolutely shocking. Never experienced anything like it before. And there is so little care and responsibility from each employee I have dealt with. 1 out 2 of my items was delayed for 3 months. Never spoke to a manager no matter how many times I was promised they would call. And only offered me a $50 gift voucher to use with them, knowing very well I never wanted to purchase anything from them again. Then when the bed finally arrived, the size of the slats was incorrect so I still could not use the bed. Gave me their word that I would speak to a manager. Did not happen - big surprise! Called back two days later and they still had not ordered the correct bed slats in. Tried to speak to the person in charge of my case and she did not call back. They just don't care! It is not worth ordering anything from Life Interiors and dealing with the headache afterwards.

Looks great in my space and adds a…

Looks great in my space and adds a really nice, modern touch. The quality feels solid and it gives off a warm, cozy light. Delivery took a little longer than expected, but overall I’m happy with the purchase.

If I could provide negative stars I…

If I could provide negative stars I would. Product purchased on the expectation it would be available end of november as stated. No option to collect the product from melbourne where a warehouse was located. And delivery fee mandatory. Not withstanding that I reluctantly agreed to purchase the product with "free shipping" to melbourne as part of a black friday sale. The product was then delayed and due to arrive 2-3 weeks after the original delivery date and after which I was due to move to South Australia. Life Interiors customer service is horrific. I would never ever ever recommend them. Do not purchase from them.

Avoid at all costs

In Well I guess I should’ve read the reviews before ordering. If you have a date that you need something by, absolutely don’t order through Life Interiors. They straight up lie about delivery dates. The item I ordered a month ago is now not going to be delivered for another month, despite it showing as ‘in stock’ ‘ships in 2-3 days’ on their site currently.

Customer service just provides platitudes, no actual solutions. Horrendous experience.

Awful.

Awful.
I ordered a Table and Chairs 27th June via Debenhams.
It was not suitable so arranged a collect Refund.
I still have no Refund.
After myself and Klarna pursuing this via Debenhams still no refund.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience - ordered and paid for a sofa in full in mid April 2025 with delivery scheduled in August 2025. Then in August we were told September, then later told October, then later December! The final communication was to offer to deliver PART of our order, not the full Sofa (totally pointless). Life Interiors seem to have no systems in place to know when products will be delivered even if you have paid for something in full. My recommendation is to avoid at all costs.

Exceptional delivery service

We had two desks delivered today and paid for assembly on site. Andy and Simon arrived on time, were totally professional and courteous. The added bonus is that company uses a tracking service so that you can see where the drivers are and the expected time of arrival. Super impressed with the delivery and installation option. Its worth every cent.

No trust in this business.

Very poor customer service.
They openly admitted to delivering a table we did not order and won’t provide a refund, despite emails back and forth for 4 weeks. We wish we had checked reviews prior to ordering, as we can see why there are soooo many complaints. There are long delays with response to emails and that suggests they are inundated with complaints. Stay away.

Do not purchase from this store

I placed an order for the Beatrix Fabric Bed Head (Oatmeal, Queen) on 28 April 2025, and as of 15 July, I still haven’t received the item. The company initially stated that stock would arrive between 30 June and 7 July, but even after that date passed, I was told the item had shipped—only to later learn that no courier movement had actually occurred.

Despite multiple follow-ups, I received inconsistent updates and was repeatedly denied a refund based on a “no change of mind” and “special order” policy. To be clear, I didn’t change my mind—I simply didn’t receive what I paid for within a reasonable timeframe.

When I cited my rights under Australian Consumer Law, which states that goods must be delivered within a reasonable time, the company stood by its internal policy rather than acknowledging its legal obligations. I have since lodged a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading.

I would caution other customers to be very careful ordering large furniture items from this company, especially if timing matters. While the product range may be appealing, the risk of long delays and lack of accountability is not worth it.

Very poor company communication and table ordered is weeks later than p;romised. Company do not respond to emails. Be careful dealing with this company.

Purchased 8 chairs through debenhams…

Purchased 8 chairs through debenhams with life interiors, chair legs cracked a month after having them, sent email to debenhams who got in touch with life interiors, they sent new legs back, then another chair legs cracked after 4 months of having them, emailed debenhams again to get a refund as the chairs where obviously rubbish, debenhams said the company would send new legs out as it was to long after purchase, id had the chairs 4 months so I said no I want a refund, still waiting on my refund after them receiving the chairs back 3 weeks ago, avoid life interiors absolutely rubbish company, all im doing every other day is emailing debenhams to be told you have to wait till such and such a date 🤬

Failure to deliver goods

I purchased a matching bed frame and bedside tables. The bed was delivered, but 6 months later, the bedside tables have not been - despite regular assurances they would be delivered “next month”.

Not a pleasant experience with Life Interiors.

Very disappointed with Life Interiors.
No after sales service.
No immediate response to my email... had to wait days for that.
VERY Expensive Delivery Service.
I wanted to pick up goods myself to avoid the $81 charge ....but that is non negotiable... only 2 suburbs away from the store and I had to pay $81.
No After Sales Service
I contacted them very soon after delivery of item to say I wanted to change to a different colour of same item ( which was a higher priced item in that new colour ..had no problem with that)
BUT to just simply change the colour of an item, they demanded I use their expensive delivery service again ...charging $81 to pick up the goods….They would not allow me to return items myself... and then on top of that, they demanded a 20% restocking fee ! ! Additional $157
Plus they were wanting ANOTHER $81 to deliver the goods again.
Again not allowing me to pick up goods from their store
I have never encountered such additional charges with any other store... when simply exchanging /upgrading to a new version of a product I had just purchased.
So in my case $319 Costs involved to just EXCHANGE a product !
AND that's ON TOP of the additional cost of the new colour I wanted.
Additionally they wanted photos of the items which were still in the original packing boxes....I did that..... they then asked for more photos from different angles..... I did that.
SHOCKINGLY EXPENSIVE company to deal with !

So its BUYER BEWARE with Life Interiors on Balmain Rd

Beware, this company cannot be trusted

I had an utterly frustrating experience with Life Interiors. I placed an order in December expecting delivery in January. On receiving the order confirmation the date showed as 21 February. That date came and went and has now been pushed back multiple times now to late April, each time with vague excuses that felt like stalling. It’s now mid March, past due, and I’m still empty-handed and out of pocket. Worse, when I asked for a refund, they flat-out refused, citing some fine print buried away on their website. In my opinion, their customer service is a masterclass in evasion, I have not personally had a worse online experience.

As an example of their ethics, take a look at their ratings on their website versus other locations, do your own research and make your own conclusions, I wish I did.

Based on my experience, I’d warn anyone to think twice before trusting their delivery promises—or their refund policy. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere.
