Sales people just want the commissions. They're careless, don't provide important information unless you specifically ask, and don't seem to care about repeat business. I would never go back and would never recommend them to others.

We've had two good experiences at Lighting By Gregory recently. One was to purchase six new ceiling fans for our apartment. I went to the store to buy them and got good advice and service from one of their very experienced salespeople. The other purchase was online -- for new wall switches for the fans. That was fine although their online sales aren't at the level of most online stores -- it took more than a day to get a confirmation and, when I called with a support question, I was shuttled around to 3 people before I got an answer. The other disappointing thing is that, when I set up my online account with them, they sent back a confirmation email that showed both my email address and password. The latter was bad security practice. When I sent a note to their online support email, I did not receive a reply.

In sum, LBG is a good store but exercise a bit of caution if ordering online.

My order received extremely quickly

Sam Mizrahi gave us great service. We found most of the lights we were looking for (a large order.) If I had to suggest an improvement, It would be around better knowledge in the store on which dimmers work with which lights. E.G. We discovered that the 2 reading lights we bought do not work with our dimmers. Also, we had to cancel part of our order for recessed lights since no one in the store knew if they would work with our Lutron Grafik T dimmers (we ended up going with Lutron itself for this item). All in all - good experience
