Deeply disappointing experience.
Deeply disappointing experience.
I enquired twice about the progress of my order (first at the 2-week mark and again at 4 weeks) and on both occasions I was told it would be sent “no later than next week.” Yet the very next day after my second email, I was told that neither the mattress topper nor the sheets I had ordered could be supplied (2 out of the 3 types of products I purchased). What I find the most frustrating is that I was repeatedly given assurances about the delivery date when clearly my order had not even been properly processed. It took 20 working days for them to realise that the items could not be fulfilled. I would have much preferred an honest update from the beginning rather than quick filler responses. They did offer alternatives, but these were not suitable (I ordered 18-inch-sheets for a reason, so offering me 15-inch sheets didn’t really make sense) To be fair, they did issue a refund promptly and responded quickly to my emails but I feel like good communication is of little value when the information being provided is inaccurate.
I also think that it is very telling that the mattress topper in question is still available to order on their website, despite me being told that the filling required to make it will not be back in stock until next year. I’m not writing this review looking for a response and I am not interested in further communication about the matter. I only want to share my experience so that anyone considering placing an order now is aware and can hopefully avoid experiencing the same situation. I would strongly recommend confirming directly that the items you want are genuinely in stock and available before placing an order (though even doing this might not be sufficient).

Hi Jenni, The Brushed Cotton range is deliciously soft as you say and a tad lighter than our Superior range of Flannelette. This is faster drying and easier to change without sacrificing quality. Thank you for your comments and we hope you continue to enjoy!

Over-sized pillow cases
I needed some cotton over-sized pillow cases and Linen Cupboard was one of the few places selling them. Ordering was simple and delivery was very quick, I'm just a bit disappointed with the quality, the material is thinner and rougher than expected and they creased a lot when washed. I think for the price the quality should be better.

Resposta da Linen Cupboard
Hi Julie, Thank you for reviewing the Oversized Pillowcases. I am sorry to hear that the material was thinner than you had expected. We do offer refunds or exchanges for any unsuitable unused items. Please wash bedlinen separately from other garments. I would remove the bedlinen from the washing machine immediately after the wash cycle is complete and lay them flat and smooth the creases out on a flat surface for drying. You can iron bedlinen when it not 100% dry to make it easier and use plenty of water and steam. I hope this information helps or you can contact us directly so we can rectify any issues.
Kind regards, Selena.

My only complaint is WHY are there NO choices of colour for Emperor sized fitted sheets sadly not everyone wants white. Very disappointing… but a common disappointment with most companies.

Hi LJD, Thank you for a five star review.
We currently offer our ranges mainly in White and the Jersey cloth in Grey or Almond colour too. With us stocking 20 different niche sizes and cloth options within these sizes we have kept it to mainly White for the time being. If anything changes in the future we will update the website accordingly and it is under consideration. I am sorry for any inconvenience.
Kind regards, Selena.

Hi Caroline, Thank you for your review of the Classic Cotton Percale Fitted Sheets. It is great to hear these fit your European size bed well. I can see you purchased these at the right time as we had an automatic discount code available. Regrettably good quality and craftsmanship does cost, however we regularly run seasonal promotions and offer discount codes if you contact us.
