Very slow payment

I have sold a car previously about three years ago with Lloyd's auctions in Victoria and had no problem, was paid within the week. But this time nearly two months before i received payment with plenty of excuses, won't deal with them anymore.

6 weeks, still not paid.

I sold my van with this company 6 weeks ago and still have not been paid $10,300. I have gotten in touch with multiple reps many times over the last 3 weeks, all promising to sort it out but then never hearing from them again. Don't get scammed by this miserable company like I have.

Do not use this dodgy company to sell through. They will promise payment in 21 business days then make up every excuse not to pay in time. Still waiting for payment from over 30 business days. They shouldn't be able to operate.

SELLER BEWARE!!!
put in an item to jewellery auction because I had to forklifts going into the plant auction
I usually use another auction house that I have been using for years and I very good
They the item since 23rd , sold directly because highly desirable item.Its now the 1st of April and still have not been paid
I have other item weekly in other auctions and it a ten day turn around. This firm has every excuse in the book the mislead, 14 day payment, then become 14 to 21 days which then becomes 21 one working days, it's 5 and a half weeks and they still have not paid me
There are many other auction house in Australia , my advice , use some one else
Look at the reviews here. Very bad
The also have a.i customer service which is also set up move the goal post

Incompetent unprofessional

Completely unprofessional. Won item at auction… they were quick to ask for payment then weeks later, no communication, I had to constantly follow them up only to be advised they could not supply and I had to request refund. Follow instructions to request refund… again no communication. I had to go purchase elsewhere. Again no communication they canceled the refund because Item magically reappeared in the mail. I made alternate purchase based on them saying it couldn’t be supplied and now they don’t want to refund item.

Sold my car and not paid me

They stealing cars! 4 weeks and still not received my funds for my car! This is an expensive car ! They don’t return calls and try to find any way not to pay you! Do not sell your car through here! There all pests and scums of earth !!!

I paid $4129 for item

I paid $4129 for item, half month passed, no sign of items being shipped out, customer service is rude and hung up my call. Vendor didn’t dropped items and they don’t even care to inform customer. I still haven’t received my items.

Very unhappy experience

I had a call from Lloyds, saying they had many buyers and as I had sold through them before did I have items to bring in, as they were doing "no commission" for Lees"VIP" customers.
I told Lee that I had a couple of designer bedsides and 2 designer lamps I had bought from Robinsons and had used in a spare room. I made several calls advising Lee I had paid around $1000 for each bedside and approx $600 each for the lamps and needed an indication of price I would receive. After several calls I was assured that I would be advised when they were on line and they were aware of my price paid. I didnt hear from them and called to find out when they were going on line.
I was shocked to hear that they had sold all for a total of $134 and wanted $40 commission. I cant tell you how infuriating my experience has been. I would have rather donated them than give them away for the ridiculous price they sold them for.
I would never sell through them again and find that the way in which this was handled was deceitful and would like to warn others of this extremely unhappy experience.

What a dishonest incompetent awful company to deal with. Do not spend a penny with this company.
Fake Auctions
Staff that are incompetent, Dishonest, Blatant liars…… and months to get refunds. They withheld my refund for months, if I didn’t push they would never have given me back my money.

Worst customer service period

Have had the complete displeasure of dealing with the Lloyds Auction Gold Coast transport arm (Laylow) and Lloyds refund team. I am amazed at the lack of customer service from them both. This is what happens when they know people will buy their product and use their services even if they are rubbish, they then simply stop with any customer support. Recommend not using Lloyds period and definitely not Laylow Transport

Absolute piss poor

Absolute piss poor. Lying, scamming assholes.

Been a month since i won at auction. Parcel never posted, no refund received, Lloyds doing NOTHING.
2.5 weeks up to XMAS all you did was lie and pass the blame everywhere else but yourselves.

Took all of 5 seconds to see you're a bunch of lying pigs.
Aust Post confirming you are absolute scumbag, lying assholes.

Have made reports to ACCC, Consumer Affairs and now leaving reviews everywhere.

Wripped off big time…

Well like many others bought at auction in the past and not too many issues, but when you sell, is when they take you for a ride big time.
In August 2025 we took 2 x 2.5 seater brand new Kings lounges valued at 6k to sell. Yhey advised after first auction they can sell to highest bidder.

No follow up ignored completely, then they told us they are waiting to be paid and then to pay us. Finally we find out they sold the lounges for $32.00 and yes not even that is in our account as of 3rd November 2025
Discusting they can do this, not even a courtesy call to give us an opportunity to collect the goods if they can't sell at reasonable price. Do not sell anything of any value, agreement means nothing you will kiss your valuables good by.
It's no wonder they seem to be mostly selling their own cheap Chinese imports and much better prices with high vendor bid, option to offered to normal seller, 100% not two lounges for $32.00

Little to no buyer protection with Lloyds

I bought collectables that turned out to be fake.
It turns out this was my tough luck - no return, no refund.
If you read the buyer terms and conditions you basically have no comeback with this company.
The word that comes to mind when describing this company is 'dodgy'.

I finally got my refund from Lloyds…

I finally got my refund from Lloyds Auctions — but only after taking formal action.

After 4 months of being ignored following an approved refund, I realised phone calls and emails go nowhere. What worked was:

Send a formal "Letter of Demand" giving them 7 days to refund.

Start a chargeback with your bank (credit card dispute — use “refund promised but not received”).

Lodge a complaint with Queensland Office of Fair Trading.

Two days after I sent the demand letter, the money suddenly appeared in my account.

Tip: Don’t waste time calling — go straight to formal steps. That’s the only thing that gets results.

Screwed over by llyods auction house

Screwed over by llyods auction house. I took 100 old painting and prints an African mask Winston Churchill plaque guilded in gold presentation by queen Elisabeth the second and other collectables over 12 months ago Ive received $116 so far I'm told you am owed $91 I'm still waiting on. In total $207 ridiculous totally screwed over by llyods absolutely shafted just 1 of my paintings was 4ft+2ft gold framed done by c Pissarro this painting alone is worth more than $207 on its own llyods scum bags

Terrible support service

I won an auction (30 July 25), paid same day and waited. After a few days I was provided an invalid tracking number, started customer support dance to get proper tracking, after a month still no delivery and no useful tracking, they hap hazardly reply to emails with no real help or explanation, internal blame throwing I guess no help to customer. Since demanding a refund I have been ghosted. 55 days has now passed, LLoyds Customer service is sh1t. I have had other purchases from Lloyds go smoothly but if something goes wrong it's a nightmare. Not sure if I will trust them again and definitely not for expensive items.

Lloyds a one big scam they will rip you off they will say one thing in an email and you go to drop your product off they will say another thing they are not upfront they are a joke they will rip you off and take all your money and give you nothing this is my opinion and I am entitled to my opinion save yourself all the dramas and sell elsewhere

Worried I won’t get my money back.

I purchased a ring. It did not arrive for a few weeks so I sent a query. The email back said that my query was passed on to the appropriate department. A couple of weeks later, I still had not received the ring. When I asked for a refund I was told that I had never actually purchased the ring due to a glitch in the system. As such, I had paid for the ring but would not be receiving it due to this glitch. They then sent me a refund request, which I completed. Almost two weeks later and no refund yet. Emailed them today and they suggested I needed to wait in line as refunds were processed in the order they came in. They have had around $1700 of my money for six weeks now. Absolutely disgusting. Never again.
