I used a Lombard Card several years ago…

I used a Lombard Card several years ago at the recommendation of Apple Store to purchase a new computer. I overpaid by about $300 and since then have made a couple of unsuccessful attempts to retrieve the money using their procedures at the time. I had given up and put the loss down to experience. Out of the blue, I just received a text message asking me to phone them in order to arrange a refund. The message mentioned the right amount, though with no mention of paying interest on money they have held for several years. I rang but here would have been a 25 minute wait to speak to them. I continue to suspect that their appalling customer support is a deliberate disincentive to taking action that enables them to keep the money.

Great service

Luc Ramsden is my relationship manager.

He was very patient, helpful and informative. He helped me get a really good lease agreement for my new fleet of vans and he also saved my business some money.

Lombard paid the supplier very quickly. Within 24 hours, after I returned the signed agreement.

His customer service skills are excellent and he is an asset to Lombard.

My only issue, was that he can be hard to get hold of sometimes. But I fully understand, that he is very busy with other clients and he may be under pressure.

That being said. I will continue to do business with Lombard, based solely on my great experience with Luc.

I have being with Lombard now for a…6 years

I have being with Lombard now for a while, I had a late payment due to a friend committing suicide and I was not in the head space to worry about it. These jerks are constantly ringing my phone not once but twice in a row on Saturday and Sunday I didnt answer because the grief I am feeling. They have no compassion for their customers. On other occasions I have found them to be rude, now they have issued a default notice for the 133.00 which I think is very uncompassionate even in covid times. I was horrified to read what other people have gone through with this company, and they are out to rip off the consumer. I dont like this company and I am also regreting going with them. Annoyed.

Whoever has taken over Lombard finance…

Whoever has taken over Lombard finance and are answering the phone calls, treat them as scammers, liars and completely untrustworthy. I overpaid my card by 500 plus dollars and I've been trying to get it back (since I accidentally found out about it because Lombard never told me) for the last month and a bit and so far, after 4 phone calls, I've been given the runaround and frankly lied to. Don't trust whoever answers the phone: they have no interest in helping you. Scammers and liars.

These people are thieves, DAY LIGHT ROBERS

These people are thieves, they charge you a lot of late payment fees and if you are struggling they wont even offer to write off your debt like other financial institutions, they will just keep adding interest and late payment fees while they keep harassing you. and their late payment fee is so high. they are a total rip off. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Worst finance company ever nothing is interest free they are snakes....don’t ever use this company they are terrible and give no communication what so ever are happy to just rip you off completely.

worse company you might ever come…

worse company you might ever come across. no answer. issue not resolved. keep passing me between departments. I know it sound like I am mad but I been chasing this for over a year now to know very simple 3 options. its normally take me a few sec to log in my other finance accounts to answer all my questions, but here, its a dream.

Absolutely appalling company AVOID AVOID AVOID

Absolutely appalling company. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!! I paid my credit card in full 4 months ago an requested the account be closed. I have called and email d so many times regarding this and always passed of to another person or department. The account is showing on my credit file as in Default and in arrears and they listed my account as having been written off and has ruined my credit rating! I have asked 6 times for this to be rectified with no resolve. I have taken my complaint to the financial ombudsman. I can’t get finance anywhere because of these tools! Absolutely ropable right now and on hold again for over 40 mins. Nearly 10 hours I’ve spent on the phone trying to deal with this.

Horrible service

Horrible service.
It took us 8 months, over 50 phones calls and constant nagging to receive a refund of $1500 owed to us from a bond we had place on accommodation.
Every phone call, the operator stated they had escalated the issue to their finance team, however no progress was made.
We were told the refund was process early February 2020, however never went into our account.
We were then told that they process refunds at the end of the month, however never went into our account.
we called every week to follow up on the progress of the situation, but we were constantly told the matter was with there finance department and they are waiting for a response.
We were then told it was process on the 11th of May, but never went into our account AGAIN.
We were then advised it was definitely processed on the 27th of May and the same day only hours later it was in our account.
8 months of waiting and constant phone calls going back and forth, being told it was processed 3 times, and finally it takes 1 day for the money to hit our account once it was ACTUALLY process.
Not sure if we were lied to for 8 months but it was a disgrace, and we will never deal with Lombard finance again.

They only get 1 star because there is…

They only get 1 star because there is no option for no stars.
I have an automatic payment taken by Lombards every month.April statement says up to date. Minimum payment $125 and I pay $150.
May statement arrived and they have recorded a late payment and say that $125 is overdue. They have since also charged a late fee of $35.
Trying to contact anyone is almost impossible and staff have no idea of accounting or banking background to acknowledge an issue.
Beware anyone holding accounts with them and check you statements as well.

No consideration for payment date adjustment

No, considerations for payment adjustment date. Just to avoid penalties, even in these trying times of COVID 19. Very hard to please, even with valid reasons.I thought just to change the date of payment but still within this month it will be paid. This is the only finance institution with no consideration at all. We are up-to-date with payments and in debt with their interests.

I paid them $75.00 in December and asked them to shut the account, now in January I somehow have a $120.00 debt to them that they've passed off to a debt collector? I don't use my Lombard account, I've asked repeatedly for it to be shut and they continue to attempt to charge me money I really can't spare.

Avoid at ALL costs.

SkyePlans are a trap and a scap. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Despite several hours (no exaggeration my last chat session was 50minutes alone) on live chat support my efforts to purchase a holiday using my Skye Mastercard and convert it to a SkyePlan is a failure. All I am left with is a large purchase with high interest.

I had 3-4 chat sessions before the purchase and now this session afterwards. At every point information was withheld. The full picture was never disclosed, and what is described as a simple process on their website is nothing but a web designed to trap customers.

I can't believe a repeat customer would be treated as badly as this. Horrible service and worse product.

Misleading and deceptive

Consistently engage in undue harassment, demand payment for amounts already paid threatening default listing and further creditor action, ignore emails disputing demand for payment of "overdue" amounts, mistreating repayments to ensure any interest accrues on older/larger purchases, failing to act on requests for hardship assistance, and my favourite, breaching privacy laws by ringing my house and asking a relative of mine about a neighbour who they had been unable to contact in respect to an overdue amount because they noticed that we lived in the same street. Not only did they breach my privacy but they breached my neighbour's who I had never met, and who I am sure would have been thrilled to know that I knew he was behind in his monthly repayments to Lombard Finance.

In my view, Flexicards Australia Pty Ltd formerly trading as Lombard Finance are in breach of the terms of the consumer credit contract it entered into with me, by altering the terms of the agreement to my detriment and without my consent. Essentially it terminated the contract when it cancelled my Lombard Finance 180 Visa and waived its rights under the terms of that contract due to its breach of the essential terms of the consumer finance product contract.

A commercial decision to rebrand an existing product because of a deal brokered with Mastercard and a desire to sever its affiliation with Visa is not in my view something which is contemplated by the terms of the contract I entered into and is not something which entitles the credit provider to no longer supply the product it agreed to provide under the terms of the contract. As I did not apply for a balance transfer to the Skye Mastercard, I did not consent to the contract being terminated and a new contract being entered into, so in my view, the credit provider is still obliged to provide me access to credit or alternatively reissue me with a Mastercard for my existing account under its new business name.

There has been no sale/merger/acquisition or assignment to another credit provider. It is a change in name only. The ABN for Lombard Finance is identical to that of Skye and Flexicards Australia Pty Ltd remains the operating entity which remains part of the FlexiGroup of companies.

It is an attempt by the credit provider to obtain an advantage over its existing customers and terminate its contracts for its own benefit, and forcing customers to recontract in order to continue to have use of the credit product by inferring the credit provider would no longer exist.

In my view the credit provider has waived its rights by terminating the contract and further, has engaged in misleading and deceptive conduct which should be investigated by the regulatory authorities.

I wish I hadn't gone with this company

I wish I hadn't gone with this company, but it was the only one on offer as part of a finance package through Flight Centre for a much wanted trip overseas. I know it's my fault for choosing finance to pay for my trip overseas instead of saving up for it, I fully own that. However - exorbitant interest and lousy customer service. I emailed to change my repayments and they never got back to me and were unable to find my email. I am still paying off a massive debt. Never using ever again.

The People vs Lombard ( flexigroup )

As of the 21st of June, Lombard (flexigroup) changed to skye, cancelled a lot of peoples credit cards.
If this has happened to you, contact AFCA Australian Financial Complaints Authority and lodge a formal complaint. This formal complaint will halt any phone calls or legal proceedings against you until investigated. For class action we only need 7 people. Facebook The People vs Lombard. I am in conversation with legal representatives to start this.
