Das wichtigste ist Pünktlichkeit!
Pünktlichkeit und Zuverlässigkeit ist eine Tugend, die immer mehr Airlines vernachlässigen. Jeder zweite Flug mit easyJet hat bei mir aktuell Verspätung. Für einen Trip nach Japan buchte ich nun die LOT, weil es hier ein sehr gutes Angebot in der komfortablen Premium Eco gab. Alle 4 Legs waren super pünktlich (BER-WAW-NRT vv.). Die Speisen auf dem Hinflug waren köstlich, aus Japan zurück nicht ganz so schmackhaft. Sparen Sie sich das Bieten um ein Upgrade in die Business Class, die ist so klein, dass da so gut wie nie etwas geht - das ist reine Zeitverschwendung. Einziger echter Kritikpunkt: der Bordservice. Der macht wirklich nur das Nötigste. Mal ein Lächeln für den Fluggast? Fehlanzeige. Mal nachts mit einem Tablett Wasser durch die Reihen laufen? No way. Da ist - auch im Hinblick auf die aktuell stark gebeutelten Airlines des Mittleren Ostens bei der LOT schon nach viel Luft nach oben.

Finger weg von Flugverbindungen mit Zwischenstopp. Die durchschnittlichen Verspätung auf solchen Strecken sind länger als die ground time. Den Anschluss verpasst man also regelmäßig.
Cheap tickets, cheap experience
I took Lot for a Cairo/Brussels return flight. Like most European carriers nowadays service on board is minimal, with a sandwich and a chocolate bar the only food served during a four hour flight. The flight attendants were normal, neither unfriendly nor overly friendly. The flights were punctual, no luggage issues and the planes were clean and reasonably comfortable. Picked them as they were half as expensive as a direct flight. The experience was a bit cheap but OK.
Theft
I recently traveled internationally from Chicago to Warsaw/Zagreb with LOT, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. My checked bag was broken into (the zip tie had been removed), and several items were stolen. I only discovered the missing items and tampering after arriving at my hotel.
While still abroad, I reported the issue to United Airlines (the Star Alliance airline that I booked thru) via chat and was directed to contact LOT. After some effort, I was able to reach LOT through WhatsApp six days after arriving in Croatia and was provided with a link to file a claim. At no time was I told that I had a time limit and should submit ASAP. However, the claim form was not mobile-friendly, which prevented me from completing it while traveling. I ultimately submitted the claim as soon as I returned home—ten days after my international arrival.
Despite the relatively small value of the claim (under $200), it was denied solely because it was not submitted within the seven-day window.
What makes this experience particularly frustrating is not just the initial theft, but the lack of a smooth and supportive response afterward. Dealing with loss while traveling is already stressful; the follow-up process should demonstrate care, accountability, and a genuine effort to assist the customer. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
SCAM!
This airline is a scam!!!! Took 2 x payments from my bank account for the same amount claiming this was the cost per person. This was not the total cost it came to when it was booked and so we’ve paid double the price. Wouldn’t recommend this airline to any one
Always delayed
LOT never fails to disappoint. The situation with the constant delays is ridiculous. If you have a connected flight with 1-2 hours layover with LOT , you’ll definitely miss it due to a delay.
Ich kannte die Airline nicht, wurde aber sehr überzeugt!
Ich bin sehr positiv überrascht von LOT-Airlines! Bin auf diese Airline gekommen da ich einen günstigen Flug zum Europapokalspiel des FC Bayerns in Madrid gesucht habe. Meine Erwartungen waren aufgrund der vergleichsweise billigen Preise nicht allzu hoch, doch mir wurde das Gegenteil bewiesen.
Mir fiel beim einsteigen ins Flugzeug direkt die (vermutlich) „klassisch polnische“ Musik auf, welche sehr beruhigend auf mich wirkte.
Außerdem waren die Flugbegleiterinnen und Flugbegleiter (trotz dass ich wohl einer der einzigen nicht polnischen Passagiere war) sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.
All meine Erwartungen übertraf das servieren von Gebäck und einem Getränk (alles von Wasser bis Rotwein) aufs Haus.
Bei allen meiner 4 Landungen, wurde bestes Können der Piloten bewiesen.
(Auch in Warschau bei starkem Seitenwind)
Einen Stern möchte ich allerdings abziehen da wir insgesamt rund 40 Minuten Verspätung hatten.
Auch wenn ich natürlich nicht weiß ob die Airline dafür verantwortlich ist.

Nieporozumienie. Pobrali opłatę za rezerwację miejsca w ostatnim rzędzie, po czym podstawili inny samolot i dali miejsca 6 rzędów dalej. Reklamacji nie uznali bo nie widzą swojej winy. To jest jakaś kpina. Już więcej profesjonalizmu doświadczam w tanich liniach niż u tego pseudo przewoźnika. Jedno wielkie oszustwo. Przestrzegam przed zakupem jakichkolwiek usług dodatkowych u tej firmy, a najlepiej w ogóle omijać tego przewoźnika szerokim łukiem.

Sehr positiv überrascht - sehr gerne wieder!
Flug von Amsterdam nach Tiflis mit stop in Warschau. Absolut perfekt und ohne Probleme! Beide Flüge waren auf die Minute pünktlich! Die Maschinen Embaer195 und Boeing 737-8 Max waren wie neu, sehr sauber und die Crew war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders erwähnenswert: Es gab auf beiden Flügen kostenlose Snacks (Brötchen mit Käse und Spinat) dazu auf Wunsch Softdrinks und sogar Bier war kostenlos! Sowas gibt’s heute kaum noch! Ich war sehr positiv überrascht und würde jederzeit wieder LOT fliegen. Auch die App fürs Handy funktioniert tadellos.

Na trasie Warszawa - Seul wszystko super. Żadnych opóźnień ani problemów z bagażem, załoga miła i komunikatywna.
Worst excuse for an airline
Worst excuse for an airline. On our way to Uzbekistan after boarding we were told there was a mechanical issue and waited on the tarmac for 4 hours until finally being told the flight was cancelled- ended up missing a day. On the way back our flight was cancelled 24hrs before. We needed to change our flight they rebooked us on and we could not get ahold of anyone! WhatsApp, messenger, instagram- NOTHING. No ability to call either. They honestly ruined our dream vacation. STAY AWAY. Pay a little extra to fly with another airline.

I lost almost £300
Unfortunately, this was a complete failure. The website promises that you can cancel a flight and receive a refund if done at least 5 days before departure. I canceled well in advance due to unexpected events, and no one contacted me. As a result, I lost almost £300. This is outright fraud, they promise something they don’t deliver and then ignore customers. My level of disappointment exceeded all expectations. This was my first and last time. Do not recommend to anyone.

Firma gorsza niż niskobudżetowe, samoloty często opóźnione, nawet jak startują o 7 rano z Okęcia. Najgorsze je jest to, że korzystają overbookingu. Doświadczyłam tego wracając z Londynu do Warszawy. Nigdy więcej nie polecę z tą firmą

Pet in Cabin Extra as Money Trap
Very disappointing experience with LOT regarding transparency and customer support.
The pricing for pet transport is not clearly displayed on the website before booking. Customers are effectively expected to complete a reservation first and only then clarify the actual cost, which is not a transparent or customer-friendly approach.
What made it worse was the quality of support. Multiple agents provided scripted responses and showed no willingness to properly investigate the issue. I was even advised to “book first and then call,” which is not a reasonable solution when pricing is unclear from the start.
It later turned out that there was indeed a technical error, which confirms that the initial responses were misleading.
I would like to thank Adriana, who finally took responsibility, properly reviewed the case, identified the issue, and corrected the price. It’s reassuring that there are still employees like her who genuinely care and take their role seriously (hence +1 star).
However, the overall system and support experience need significant improvement, especially in terms of pricing transparency and accountability.
One of the worst airlines (Everything is broken)
One of the worst airlines, with terrible planes in a terrible state, broken tray tables, broken seatbacks, and a non-functional entertainment system—all on a 13-hour flight from Seoul to Warsaw.
There was also a 13-hour flight where we were given two small cups of drink. Otherwise, we had to get up, go to the galley, and get our own drinks. Food was served once at takeoff and again after about 10 hours – absolutely inadequate.
The outrageous part is, after the flight, I filed a complaint and requested a partial refund of my €5,800 ticket. The response I received was, "We can't address every single issue," and that was it. I don't even want to know what the technical condition of the planes is like. I will never set foot on an LOT plane again Flight LO98
