I got the dates that wanted at a very good price. I found Liam very knowledgeable and efficient.

What made our excellent experience with love Cuba was the fact Liam our agent, was always responsive and listened to our wants and needs.
We were impressed with his knowledge and honesty.

The agent was knowledgable , extremely thorough and looked at options . Tone and manner of the agent was great. Just a great call with a fab outcome. Many people forget you are a customer and just want to tick the boxes .. this was great service

It was great to speak to a real person with expertise, knowledge and passion. The agent didn't try to oversell anything and we could reach out to them anytime. It was so easy build our holiday with minimal fuss and information and documentation came in on time -it was all very efficient.

Well what can i say totally fantastic we looked on i love cuba sunday afternoon requested 3 quotes asked if we could stay overnight in canada a phone call from
the lovely Laura Thomas who could not be more helpful so informative and honest entire holiday sorted and booked by Thursday would recomend to anyone i have allready brilliant

We were very impressed with the wonderful customer service from LoveCuba. Liam was everything you want from a professional travel agent. We booked the holiday for a family of four within hours after we contacted Liam. He was so responsive and very helpful and tailored the holiday to meet our needs. When our flight to Madrid was delayed and missed the connection flight to Havana, Liam and the Havana rep Artemio helped to arrange the adjustments to meet the new schedule. Although our holiday was cut short by one day due to the flight delay, we still managed to visit all the places we wanted to see. We had an amazing time in Cuba. Special thanks to Liam and Artemio for making it happen!

Were to start?
We went to Cuba in September with Love Cuba, Laura was very helpful.
Trip criteria – open budget.
Flight to Havana – Dublin - Heathrow-Madrid-Havana, we had a stopover in Madrid on the way out.
When we got ro Havana, waiting for our luggage, we had 2 power cuts which was very frightening as it all was dark. We were very nervous about our bags but eventually the electricity came back and we got our bags.
We had a lovely classic car organised by Love Cuba to collect us, it was a lovely drive.
Hotel in Havana – Iberostar Parque Central.
When we got to the hotel, the receptionist asked us if we want to see the room. The 3 first rooms were musky smelling, the final one we settled for. The breakfast was lovely. Staff nice too. Everything is in dollars or euros. You don’t get good exchange rate in the hotels but you can outside and in restaurants. Tip: take 1 dollar bills for tips as 5 Euros is a big tip, the average wage is 20 euro/dollar a month.
The trip to Vinales was very nice, however, with the lunch with was included with beer or water, we asked for beer but we were told it was not cold but the water was cold! All other drinks that we paid for were cold! Shameful. The trip round Havana was ok, $5 for Coconut water or Coffee. The museums were closed because of power cuts. A lot of begging and poverty, they have nothing poor souls. Also, a divide between people with wealth and those on breadline.
Trying to get a sim card was a job in itself. Get one from the airport.
From Havana we went to Trinidad, the taxi was very comfortable.
Hotel, Mystique la Popa
The hotel was very nice but accessed via a very steep hill! Not for the faint hearted especially in the searing heat! Trinidad was very empty, not many tourists. But we liked it there. The food was very nice Munoz Tapas was very nice indeed.
From Trinidad we went to Varadero
Car picked us up, this by far was the highlight of our trip as the driver was very informative and the tour was fabulous. We stopped for a lovely lunch. We passed beautiful land with red soil all lying idle, heart breaking to see as we are farmers.
Hotel - Royalton Hicacos
This hotel was not a 5 star hotel by any means. Might have been once upon a time but not now. We found out that we could have upgraded to Diamond Club. But considering having told Love Cuba that our budget was open, we were not openly recommended this. But the 2 other we met, they were recommended this. Yes, it was in the small print but we didn’t see it. On the second day there, I went to the bar to order a Prosecco, the barman put one in front of me, I was just about to take it and shouted at me!!!!! Imagine. Apparently, it was for someone else. If you don’t have dollars in your hand for tip, they will not serve you. After couple of episodes like this, I complained to the Manager, who upgraded us to the Diamond Club. It really made a difference as the staff in there were so nice. I did email Laura in UK about the problems we were having, she passed that on the local rep who was very nice. I asked for Mohito few times, but they didn’t have mint! However, you could get it on the beach club for Diamond members. Don’t understand this at all. We had an epidemic of mosquitoes which made our lives a misery but that wasn’t the hotels fault.
All in all, would we go there again? No! This is our personal experience there. Other people love it there.

The experience of dealing with the company from initial enquiry on line and then with phone conversations was very positive. The lady was very pleasant and very helpful with a good knowledge of the location we were interested in. Quotes were sent quickly, very detailed and very favourable. The booking was swift and simply. It was a pleasure dealing with this company.

Well organised tour, good accommodation and trips, and good advice from the team in the UK, especially regarding spending money in Cuba (which is different from almost anywhere else).

Very good experience with Liam who has worked well in tailoring the holiday to our preferences. His advice and guidance has been invaluable. We are yet to take our holiday, so cannot comment on that.
