After getting my eye test done at the high street optician, I was shocked at their prices for varifocals. A colleague recommended Low Cost Glasses so I gave them a try. Ordered the Windsor frames with premium varifocal lenses and they arrived within the timeframe promised. The communication throughout was excellent with emails updating me at each stage. The glasses fit perfectly and the vision is crystal clear at all distances. Saved myself over £200 compared to the optician's quote!

I must say I wasn't sure of the outcome. They were Great! Got my lovely glasses and everything was perfect. No hidden costs like some when you come to checkout.Quick delivery to. Also amazing discounts couldn't be happier. I really recommend these. I will definitely use them again.

Pleasantly pleased , didn’t pay lots and they are as good as the ones I paid triple for at the optician. Would recommend.

Good service and decent glasses for the price. Just needed a cheap pair of reading glasses and these were ideal.

Had been putting off getting new glasses due to the cost at my local opticians. Found Low Cost Glasses online and decided to take a chance on their £6 frames. Was honestly quite skeptical about the quality at that price point, but they've exceeded my expectations completely. The Consett frames look stylish, feel sturdy, and my prescription is perfect. Delivery took about 5 days which was reasonable. The case could be sturdier but for the price I paid, I really can't complain at all.

They looked at my prescription and recommended a lower cost lens. I bought this pair as a spare but given that I have annual checks I will buy my next pair directly from this company using my prescription.

I was honestly shocked by how good the quality was for the price. Got two pairs for less than what I'd usually pay for one. Highly recommend!

Despite using the virtual try on tool (and the glasses looking fine) and the glasses the smallest possible size, they were far too large for me - laughably so.

Low Cost Glasses will however not offer a refund based on fit regardless.

Be careful if you have a somewhat smaller head/face.

My lenses were fitted into the wrong frames. I was offered 2 options (which I was shocked by); have the correct frames sent to me, and I transfer the lens myself or keep the wrong frames and get a 50% refund. Neither option works for me. I replied saying this, explaining I don't want, or like the wrong frames. Plus both options mean additional costs to fix which they have passed on to me...for their mistake. And it's been radio silence since. I can see another reviewer saying his wrong frames were sorted. I wonder why my issue hasn't been, by the company. I have my thoughts as to why and seeing the other review validates what I'm thinking.

EDIT;
LC got back (since posting this, to which they referred to). I still wasn't offered the option to return the wrong frames to them for correction. I asked why & was advised that their production site is abroad so correction would incur additional costs.
It's very unlikely that it would have not been sent as part of a batch to said facility.
They offered to cover the cost of reglazing at my opticians. I queried why they suggested I bear the cost initially, and was told it's something people could do themselves, at home so no cost. I wouldn't (don't know of anyone who would) refit lenses from 1 frame to another myself. Make it make sense.
I went for the new 2nd option I was offered; get a full refund, keep the wrong frames (which I won't use, it looks tacky on me - the colour). Like every glasses wearer knows, your frames are part of your appearance, you need to be happy with them, how they look etc. Plus I already have a pair with the same prescription.

Anyway I got the 'full' refund with shipping of £5.95 knocked off. Only I didn't technically pay for shipping it was free at the time.

It's clear that there's some customer profiling here when it comes to their approach to rework even when it's their error. The responses I got through out the process was aimed at a toddler (no offence to children), all the feedback I got just didn't stack up.

So my take is still...AVOID, it's a competitive space and there are other online sellers from my experience that will deal with customers in a fair, consistent manner with so much less faff.

And unlike other sellers that include the designer case & cloth when ordering designer frames - LC doesn't, they send them in their generic case

I used LC in 2021, this seems to be a different company/management since then. They aren't physically based in the UK anymore, it's now a US company? Their only contact number is a mobile number, tried calling a few times & it gets diverted. I left a message before my review when I was chasing for a reply.

There was a problem with the frame of my new glasses. Low Cost Glasses replaced my glasses immediately without question.

Pleased with my purchase of prescription sunglasses for my holiday, cost me £39 which is fab. Would have cost me £150 at my usual opticians so though I would try it online. So glad I did. They are perfect! Don't do as thin as I would have liked in sunglasses but they look fine. Delivery took a while, they did keep me updated, but hey what a saving 👏 very pleased overall.

Bit disappointed. The glasses did not seem as good quality as previous purchases. I did not think they were good value for the money.

Happy with the glasses - I find this company more reliable than others so will stick with them. on the downside, delivery is slow and there is too much packaging for my liking.

waited nearly three weeks for delivery and didnt appreciate a 5:30 am text message to say they had been disptched and then another one 36 hours later to say the same and dont think they are that cheap two pairs for £70 elsewhere and ready in 5 days

Happy with purchase and delivery. The Glasses case holder is a bit flimsy. A firmer case would protect the glasses better. Overall happy

Two pairs of varifocals ordered, arrived well packed, in the time advertised, lots of updates from the company, I took advantage of the 50% off offer, so saved a lot of money, the glasses are well fitting, comfortable and the prescription is perfect. I wasn’t expecting top of the range, but they are great quality.
