This is honestly one of the worst booking platforms I have ever dealt with.
I made a confirmed hotel booking through them, reached there with my family during peak season, and there was NO booking at all. Imagine the level of harassment and embarrassment this caused. We were left stranded without accommodation because of their complete failure.
Their so-called support team, especially Vishwas and Vanshika, did absolutely nothing except waste time. No proper response, no solution, no accountability — just delays after delays while my money is still stuck with them.
This platform clearly does not value customers’ time, money, or trust. They take payments instantly but disappear when there is a real issue. Extremely irresponsible and unprofessional service.
If you are planning to book through this platform, think twice unless you want your trip ruined and your money stuck like mine.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and professionalism from this company.
I have been trying to contact them to request a refund, but the phone number provided is always unreachable and disconnects immediately. There is no proper way to get in touch with their support team. I have also sent multiple emails, yet I have received no clear or helpful response.
Due to the war situation, we had to cancel our domestic flight and were unable to travel to Egypt. Despite this being a valid and serious reason, the company keeps updating refund dates on the application without actually processing the refund. Every time a date is mentioned, nothing happens, and then they simply change it again.
For reference, I canceled my ticket on March 10, and until now, there has been no resolution.

This was an absolutely horrible and frustrating experience. I had booked this property expecting a comfortable stay, but it turned out to be a complete disaster. The place was extremely smelly, and the strong odor of fresh paint made it unbearable to even breathe—it felt suffocating to stay inside.
There was clearly no proper maintenance or concern for guests’ comfort. On top of that, the support from MakeMyTrip was pathetic. There was no real assistance provided, and when I contacted customer care, they only misled and wasted my time instead of resolving the issue.
This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I strongly advise everyone to avoid booking through MakeMyTrip if this is the kind of service they provide. Completely unacceptable and highly disappointing.

When you dial support team - No one comes in person on call to talk .. they hide behind their IVRs which keeps giving same useless status - round and round.. online chat and email replies also does same,,,

Makemytrip property registration setup is pathetic
Makemytrip online portal is pathetic. I tried to register my property and I am facing some issues. The property registration failed with some issue. I am trying to contact them but there is no contact number available. I tried contacting on the number they provided on the issue page, and the person whom I spoke with is not aware where to foward me. She just hung up on me. They have such a pathetic setup when it comes to get the new properties listed.
Go to the airline directly as this website is fraud
I would not even rate this . Despite reminders by emails, no response from their team to sort the issue of partial refund given when the full flight ticket refund was expected for no fault of ours.
They have conveniently put it on the airline asking for cancellation fees despite the airline saying they are giving full refund & usurped partial amount of the ticket costs

The worst third party ticket booking for flights the customer support and refund system is very poor.
MMT makes a lot of FALSE promises
MMT makes a lot of promises, but the reality does not match AT ALL.
Even after paying for a Super Premium Kerela Vacation package, every hotel they booked was the lowest room category to save money for themselves. The rooms were small and not up to the expected standard.
Customer service was extremely poor. The tour manager, Kuldeep Sharma, never responded on WhatsApp or calls. There was no support when it actually mattered.
The included activities were also very disappointing. Most were basic roadside sightseeing stops that you could easily do on your own. On top of that, you still have to pay for entry tickets separately. These are low cost activities, but you end up paying significantly more through MMT.
The itinerary itself is padded with repetitive items just to make it look more comprehensive. For example, mentioning AC Sedan pickup and sightseeing every single day does not add any real value since the car is already booked for the entire trip.
Overall, this was a very poor experience. I would strongly recommend avoiding MMT for any vacation packages. You are better off working with a reliable local tour operator, saving money, and having much better control over your experience.

I had a confirmed reservation through MakeMyTrip, yet when I called the hotel a day before check-in, I was informed that the property was already fully sold out. To make matters worse, the contact number mentioned on the booking voucher was incorrect, and I had to find the owner’s number myself via Google.
As I was travelling from Leh and had no alternate accommodation, I was asked to check again the next day. When I did, I was still told that no rooms were available. The owner then offered his parents’ personal room as an alternative. However, this room was clearly not the category I had booked, was of a much lower standard, and even had an Indian-style toilet.
I refused this option and asked the hotel to inform MakeMyTrip that the booked room was unavailable so that a refund could be processed. The owner declined, stating he could not cancel from his end, and instead asked me to deal with MMT. He also suggested that I book directly with him at a lower rate, which felt completely inappropriate given the situation.
What was equally disappointing was MakeMyTrip’s response. Despite the hotel clearly not honouring a confirmed booking, MMT did not verify room availability on their end and simply stated that since the hotel was not agreeing to a refund, they could not process one either. No meaningful support or resolution was provided.
As a result, the entire amount was forfeited, even though the service promised was not delivered. This was by far the worst experience of my Ladakh trip. Extremely disappointed with both the hotel’s conduct and MakeMyTrip’s lack of accountability.
Massively Inefficient Customer Support - DO NOT BOOK
Booked with Make My Trip through Skyscanner (as they appeared to have a 4+ star rating on Skyscanner).
The reality is very different.
Flexibility is key in the current market, and the airlines understand that. Make My Trip complicate the process, with misleading information on their website (e.g. suggesting that only cancellations are available, when a date change free of charge was being offered by the airline) and highly inefficient call centre service (three calls, nearly two hours of explanation and still no resolution).
Book direct with the airline instead - or with a better 'travel agent'.
More than one month refund is waiting…
More than one month refund is waiting and impossible to reach customer care executive as “ Reference number is invalid “ . Obviously it will not be in their system as refund requested, then how can we contact the customer care executive? ( Now their system needs reference number to connect their customer service team) . One time lucky to have a customer care executive but they transferred to 6 people and still no refund credited in my account .

Very bad experience with MakeMyTrip. I paid for a service, did not use it, and I am still waiting for my refund.
Customer support is completely unresponsive — emails, requests, nothing works. The only status shown is “Support request created” with no action taken.
I have escalated this to authorities and started a bank dispute. Avoid this company if you expect reliable support or refunds.

Flight cancelled on march 4 2026 and today is April 12 2026, mmt still not provide me any refund or rebooking.
Many time contacted but always say next week and next week.
I am very disappointed, no money for rebooking.
Worst experience NEVER book through MMT
1) Hotel in Darjeeling (Day 1 ~ Day 3): We were not informed that “Only veg will be served” during booking. None of the days, dinner buffet was available giving the reason “Not enough guests are there”. Menu was very limited. Spa and sport facility were there just for a name sake. There is no vibe. Table tennis room was like a store room with completely torn and damaged rackets. Lawn badminton was there but no feather cok to play.
2) Gangtok - Cab transport ( Day 4 ~ Day6) : Driver on day 4 to nathula pass was very rude always pressuring us to quickly finish the spots while we had to wait in the car during which he cleaned his car for 30 mins.
Driver on day 6 to airport was horrible. He was continuously chewing gutka and I requested him to allow me to open the window doors as I was feeling nausea due to gutka smell. He denied saying dust will come and suggested me to tell when to vomit so that he can stop the car. I requested him to at least switch off the AC since nausea will increase otherwise. He denied saying he cannot take heat. He wa continuously coughing and all the Dutka particles along were coming out and all our family members have to take it with all doors closed for around 5 hrs of journey. Driving was extremely rash always going in wrong opposite lane and continuously honking like mad. However we were afraid and kept silent praying god for early and safe reach.
He didn’t even helped us to take the luggage out and surprisingly he was very furious for not thanking him at the end.
I feel there is absolutely no control for make my trip on what happens on the ground and just using the brand name putting the existing customers into trouble.
