I have dealt with Meraki twice and both times super disappointed. Most recently the rectuiter told me he put me forward for a position and then said they rejected my application as I wasnt experienced enough. My friend who works at the company said that cant be right. I was then reached out by a different recruitment company and to my suprise I was never once referred for that position, the new recruitment company referred me and 2 weeks later I was accepting the offer for said job. Last conversation he said he'll get back to me about a different company that wanted to offer me the job which he had a meeting with in 2 days, that was 2 months ago and I havent heard since. The recruiters there seem to call and 90% of the call is them talking about themselves and their day and only 10% is actually relevant stuff.
Jennifer was great at keeping in touch and checking in throughout the whole process, she was knowledgeable and helpful, even checking in in the run up to start date.

I had an interview on the phone with John Gilbertson which only lasted 10min, and after the first 5min of our conversation John concluded that despite all that experience which he initially praised based on my CV , I am not qualified enough to apply to the salary advertised in the job ad. I have an accent which sounds different to the Scottish ears, and which I believe impacted my biased recruiter - John only required 5 min to conclude that I'm not a good fit for a job without even asking any questions about my qualification, background and what I did at the previous places of work.
During the next 5 min of our conversation John was offering me a free advice that my salary expectations are inflated and I shouldn't apply to any vacancies with that level of salary at all. Interesting observation is that my non-British accent neither had ever impacted my daily performance as a finance manager with my current and all previous employers, nor it interferes with my direct job applications with the actual employers.
I think Meraki lacks anti-racism and anti-discrimination policies and an appropriate training for their staff on these matters, and as a result this recruiting company acts as a gatekeeper which narrows down the pool of the experienced candidates for its clients - unless that was a genuine request from Meraki's client - to not allow any diversity - in this case apologies John :)

Very happy with my overall experience of Meraki Talent. From the first email, phone calls to my referral of a new exiting job role took only a couple of weeks. i am very much looking forward to work with Meraki Talent in the future.
I have worked with Jennifer for two placements and it has been a positive experience. For the first placement, Jennifer proactively reached out to me on LinkedIn for a role which was a direct match for my previous experience and I was very grateful for that! Her ability to identify and match talent is undeniable and she found me the perfect role. Jennifer provided useful guidance for the interview process and was consistently responsive and helpful during my transition into the contract role. She also supported me in securing a second contract with the same company. Despite current market difficulties, she advocated for me and went the extra mile to help negotiate and attain an improved salary package.
