What a great experience and a insite to how my nut butter is made . Iv been following various food companies for 25 years and always curious how our foods are made .and ingredients used. Had to laugh on a review is seen regarding nuts are flown in . 100% iv seen they come on a long boat journey from sustainable sources . Once they arrive at the processing plant they go through a vigorous quality checked prior to being slow roasted before they are milled into the gorgeous butters. .yes ,no oil was in it . Asking the question where does the oil come from if a jar has settled for a number days. Looking into this it is actualy natural separation of the oil in the nut. Just stir it in and your good. must say I think I'll have one of the crunchy nut butters when I next have a pint. So yummy. I must say the people put passion ,quality and goodness into evey jar . Thank you so much for the great insights and experience .

Meridian Peanut Butter is all nuts, JUST nuts. The company knows they shouldn't be throwing in salt and sugar -- or palm oil (that's UNFIT for human consumption!) They also know they shouldn't be 'flying in' their bulk nuts, to protect our stratosphere (the only one we've got). They do tubs, now, too -- not just jars, and that's a step ahead because Meridian peanut butter is good in cooking and baking and not just on toast!

I was sent the wrong products. Impossible to get hold of. A labyrinth of one business hiding behind another. No accountability. Website doesn't function properly. Messages don't get through. Very suspicious company, whoever they are. Avoid like the plague.

I bought 3 jars of malt extract which should contain 370g each. For the recipe, which required 800g, i had to empty all 3 jars to just about, including scraping out the jars, get the 800g which means there is much less in each jar than claimed. It is lovely quality, just disappointed re quantity....

Such beautiful products and they taste delicious, lots of products added to the range as well. Bit of advice for those who have not purchased before, they need stirring up, I use a fork and it works quickly and really well :) I have been buying for ages and have never had a problem, the crunchy almond butter is to die for and so is the smooth with raspberry jam on toast, its like a mini bakewell. There are no awful ingredients as well.

We have bought 1kg pots of organic crunchy peanut butter for years. The last batch was not good, tasted burnt and where as the oil is usually clear it was a milky brown. This is normal according to Meridian but never my experiences in 60+ pots. Just didn't want to accept there could be a problem even with photos. Make you own mind up I have

Their own brand stuff like jams and peanut butter are sloppy. Stuff like Maple syrup is great. However I complained about them running 20+ scripts and cookies which made the site pretty much unusable unless you are happy for them to harvest your data. They ignored my complaint and deleted the account. Since then I have saved £400 by not using them. If they dont care they dont care so I wouldnt be trusting my health with their stuff again anyway. Ocado etc doing cheaper organic maple syrups etc nowadays

I have ordered couple of things of them recently and was rather happy with it. The delivery was really quick and I enjoyed all of them. The only thing that put me off was the consistency of few products but it still was extra tasty and apparently that's how it all should be (though I must say that peanut and coconut butter had a consistency of gravy so it was rather hard to put it in a sandwich). I would definitely recommend bloody orange spread and crunchy hazelnut butter, those are worth killing for!

I love their crunchy 100% peanut butter.

About 3 years ago I bought a 1kg tub of their peanut butter from Holland and Barrats.
I haven't bought anyone else's peanut butter since. I must eat about 4-6kg a year. No palm oil, Organic and very consistent quality.

I've not tried buying direct, however that's only because Amazon Prime beats them on price by 4p per 100g at the time of writing if you buy in bulk.

Will definitely by trying their other products when I've worked through this batch.
Great in soups, on chicken, in mash, in stir frys , and on bread.
