First time to use Midpoint.

Found buy/sell/payee set up a little bit fiddly compared to my regular fx co HiFX.

FAQ a must read. Support was first class with immediate and helpful replies.

Rest of process simple although it took 7 days which was no quicker (despite avoiding international payments system?).

HOWEVER, rate was transparent and the mid.point a significant improvement on HiFX (already much better than the banks).

Now all set up I look forward to a long and fruitful relationship, thanks!

Easy to set up account process, even added an extra currency for me which wasn't previously on their books, VND.

Really excellent customer service, can't fault it with a great chat function.

Only two drawbacks/suggestions, no ability to enter desired exchange rate with an order expiry date. And no customer service on weekend.

If you are new to the game, there are several steps. So read the instructions, and allow enough time for each step.

It is possible to place an order before noon, get it filled and pay by FPS on same day, so you can get the international transfer going same day. If you are not very organised it could easily be two days from your order filling to money entering the international payments system.

If time really matters consider if you can be organised enough to not waste two days.

Comparing like for like with my bank, I am delighted to have found Midpoint.

We have used Midpoint several times and have been very happy with the service. My only criticism is that I would prefer the matching happen more quickly as any benefit from getting the midpoint could be lost if the rate moves against you. (I realise it could go the other way, but we don't use the service enough to get any kind of averaging effect). If this is a concern, I think you can phone them up to get a more immediate quote. Until now, however, this hasn't been a problem and in a like-for-like comparison with the rate we would have got through our banks online system, we typically save a few hundred pounds on a £10k transaction in GBPCAD.

Midpoint gave me better control over the exchange rate. Moreover, despite problems with my local bank which delayed sending of my funds by more than one week, Midpoints customer service was very helpful to resolve these complications and the whole transaction was eventually completed without any problem.

I have experienced a perfect support and overall excellent functionality. During the whole process I have got the impression about an absolute safe money transfer.

Easy to use and cheap transcation tool

It takes too long to have our funds credited at Earthport and then once Midpoint is notified of our incoming funds, the transfer to the beneficiary should be done simultaneously. % days for a transaction is still too long.

Recently sold Euros for Sterling and found the website very user friendly and provided a quick and efficient service on this.

I've now done my first transaction with Midpoint and I've been pleasantly surprised at how easy it was, and how fast I had the money transferred to the payee. For comparison purposes I simulated the same exchange with my bank, and I saved over 5% thanks to the rate offered by Midpoint. I will definitely use them again and recommend them
