Great campervan, perfect for what we needed. Super friendly and helpful staff, The shuttle to and from airport, pickup and dropoff were made so easy.

Our plane landed at 4 pm rather than 3.15pm. Talked to helpful TTH office, but we had missed last shuttle (4.15) to the "airport" collection point. Did not like "nothing can be done". Ive never missed a rental pickup before So we cant collect the van, we have to stay in an airport hotel and we miss a big dinner planned with friends.
Didn't like paying for a night of rental not provided.
Did not like being provided with 3 thick double doonas for a two single bed rent. The van was full of impossible to use bedding.
The toilet satchels were provided inside a plastic bucket that probably had some moisture in it. Picked out the satchel and it disintegrated onto the floor. Didn't like that. Looking at the floor it looked like the same thing had happened to others (who had not been as fastidious in cleaning up the blue power as we were).
Did not like no live usb power points when the ignition is off, no tap over the washroom sink and the intrusive toilet layout.

The staff were great, the van drove excellently, everything worked and nothing broke. So, overall fine .. just dont be late, look at the bedding before taking it and watch out for the blue satchels! And take a battery pack.

Murray at the Auckland depot made pick up and drop off so easy. He was super friendly and helpful.
Couldn’t fault the camper it was fantastic.

Love the communal kitchen idea. We are always having to buy staples like salt, sauce, detergent, etc and throw out 98% at the end. Great waste reducing initiative!

Easy check in and Drop off process, and courtesy bus from and to the RV supercentre. we where able to grab some essential food items from returning groups, and the van performed really well on all types of roads, and conditions.

van was fine. 6 berth van lived up to expectations. Relatively straight forward to drive and enough features.

Service was slow though, it's like they didn't already have the van ready to go, and only started the process when we arrived to pick up. As a pre booked thing this was quite fristrating, wasting an hour or more at the pick up place.

For prebooked customers, the van really should be ready to go and we just need to do the 15-20 minutes of paperwork.

van had a leak, they were good in that they swapped it for a different one. That process was ironically faster than the initial pickup!!!

Staff were extremely helpful and made us feel relaxed.

We loved the freedom of traveling around in a campervan.

He took time to address all the concerns related to the vehicle. He sort out the gas and made check in and checking out seemless.

Noisy (rattles that needed ear plugs), wallowing, damaged. We thought we had hired a better campervan than a Mighty.

We had an a amazing trip in our camper which we named 'Might Maggie'.

The space was perfect. The facilities were exactly what we wanted / needed. It was warm and comfortable but also cool when we needed it.

We had our camper for 16 nights in total as we travelled around both the North and South Islands. Although we had some incredible experiences and saw some of the most incredible scenery in the world, one of our fondest memories from the trip was the long drives, listening to audio books and taking it all in. At the end of every day, we thoroughly looked forward to getting back in and relaxing in our own space. Not having to unpack and move suitcases all the time or check in and check out of hotels or rely on public transport was just brilliant.

The thl company was also brilliant. The collection and drop off was smooth and easy and the app was fantastic for finding some great spots and booking campsites.

The only thing that was a bit annoying at times was the noise from the camper as we drove on any surface that wasn't completely smooth. The rattling, banging and changing was sometimes so loud that we couldn't hear the radio or audio books.
Other than that, perfect.

We got a flat tyre about an hour after picking up the camper, we were on the side of the busy motorway and were waiting on hold to the helpline to try to find out what to do. I started to change the tyre, the vehicle manual that was in the vehicle did not match the vehicle we were in, the tools that were in the vehicle did not match what was in the manual, the spare tyre was bald. Luckily a Good Samaritan pulled over once the tyre was changed and offered to lead us to the nearest tyre shop, the Good Samaritan was just as disgusted as we were in the state of the spare tyre, he was concerned for my family’s safety and lead us cautiously down the highway to the next town. By the time the helpline answered their assistance was minimal, they were friendly and did sort out payment at the tyre shop once we got to Hamilton.

The grey water tank was already half full when we picked it up and the bed over the cab smelled mouldy.

The brakes on the vehicle were very spongy.

There was no washer fluid.

The only reverse camera was through the seperate sat nav unit and it only worked intermittently. I’m not sure if there was supposed to be one integrated into the vehicle entertainment system, as there were two separate cameras on the rear of the vehicle.

The van was well equipped with everything else we needed to live comfortably cooking and eating in the van.

Collection, handover and facilities on the campervan were all very good. Staff were friendly and helpful and the shuttle to and from the airport was also great.
The campervan itself was well-used, but it was reliable and did everything we needed.

The campervan was switched to another brand - Cheapa Campers - without warning, explanation or apology. When raised, the concern was dismissed out of hand.

In the end, my going to the top, I finally got recognition that it had been poorly handled and was offered a goodwill refund, which was appreciated. It just took more energy and persistence to get to that point.

Friendly staff, fast pick-up, detailed information

Nothing super flash, just honest, reliable campervans. A bit cheaper, a bit older but does everything it needs to well. The collection and drop-off processes were easy, if a little slow. The staff are helpful, friendly and professional. The Mighty Camper got the three of us where we wanted to go in NZ with a minimum of fuss and in in relative comfort.

Check in process was slow. This was acknowledged by staff and financially compensated but half the day was wasted waiting for the motorhome.

First night we were supposed to charge the battery up. Only realised the next morning that the battery hadn’t been turned on from its main switch. There were no instructions to do this.

The roof leaked when it rained. And even the day after water just flowed across the floor of the van. The USB ports for charging phones did not work and we had to buy a 12 volt plug in charger. Microwave stopped working at the end of week one. The drainage from the sink repeatedly blocked despite letting no waste down there, and didn’t empty, even on day 1 when we had barely used it. Microwave and fridge door repeatedly swung open whilst driving. Fan heater not working.

On the plus side the motorhome did drive ok - but in my opinion that’s setting the standards low.

We were offered a small amount of money back and to not spoil things at the end of the trip we did accept and move on. But I would never rent one of them again.

The fit out was practical the van handled well was good on fuel and no issues.

When picking up our carefully selected mighty camper (we wanted more of a van, didn't need bathroom as we were spending half our trip in Auckland) we were upgraded to a different camper with a different brand name on it. As apparently they didn't have any mighty campers available. The mighty booking, payment and website was very easy to use. I'm not sure I can write much more about mighty sorry

A couple of days into our trip we realized the tread on the front tires of the van were dangerously thin. We contacted the company and they arranged for immediate replacement. I suppose one could argue that this should have been checked before we collected the van but it was a couple of hours out of our day, the company acted immediately and thus we were happy. The overall experience was fantastic and we would definitely recommend exploring NZ by campervan, you see so much more.

Customer service was very responsive and helpful at all phases of booking, collection and using the van. It was a well thought out process supported by extra information available on demand like videos on how things worked. We had a great family holiday touring the north island and are planning to do this again for the south island too. The only thing we had trouble with was fitting in everything we wanted to see in ten days, so give yourself a few extra days if you can.
