Staff were great at initial handover and then return. Used the telephone support, due to a fridge issue, couldnt be resolved on the road but managed a workaround. All in all great service.

VERY VERY VERYSlow check in. The transport from the airoprt was not sufficeient, so a whole group were left behind. The chap was pleasant, but forgot to tell us to fill up the water for the toilet after emptying. On return, the check back was beyond dismal. We waited HOURS to give the van back. So much so, that one of our party ( we were 3 vans travelling together) had to miss out on a family get together in Christchurch.

Collection and drop off were very efficient, van was clean and well maintained with any small areas of damage pointed out to us and photographed . The refreshment area and facilities added to the smoothness.

The lady at checkout made it great. She was sympathetic as to why I had to fly home early and helped well beyond what is needed.

We had 3 in the camper for 11 days. Plenty of space. Thought it was a 4 berth, but turned out to be the same model as the 6 berth (3 double beds). Camper had plenty of go, and drove smoothly. No issues with any of the equipment supplied.
Staff were helpful and check-in/check-out were smooth. If you're leaving a camper in Queenstown I recommend you book camper early! (We left it a bit late booking and had to cut short our trip by one day due to constraints with that site).

The documents say your busy time is 9-12am for pick up and 1-4pm for drop off. So why then don’t you roster more staff at those times? It was farcical. We waited nearly two hours to pick up our camper. Only two staff at the front counter. Absolutely useless. You acknowledge this is a problem in writing so this is not the first time you’ve heard about this complaint. We were the lucky ones as there were only four people when we arrived at the pick up location. When we left the queue was out the door with more than a dozen, if not twenty people in line. God only knows how long it took them to get theirs! Coming back was no better at drop off. Long delays. Given we’re paying over $300 per day for the privilege, we’d like to spend our time actually on holiday rather than sitting in queues waiting

Very friendly staf during pick up and drop off.
Very accurate help when we had difficulties with our mobil home. Within an hour a mechanic came for help and solved the problem. Later that afternoon someone from thl contacted us to ask if everything was settled, very nice!
Above that all I recieved my iPad (a week after drop off) that I forgot in the dashboard…

Helpful and efficient staff, but under resourced for volume of travellers being handled.

The first experience we had with Mighty Campers was fantastic, we decided to book with them again for our 30 year wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, this experience was far from being enjoyable. The camper that was handed to us, was not what we booked and paid for. It had major issues. We were unable to use the shower because of the water problems, after a few boils of the kettle on the gas stove, the bottle was empty. The campervan hadn't been cleaned. The grey water tank had a blockage, that was coming up through the sink. It seemed like this campervan slipped through the system for being checked, cleaned etc before being hired out again. We had to take time out of our holiday to drive back to Christchurch to get the many issues fixed. That was a complete waste of time, we later discovered, nothing was fixed. We had no hot water from the first day we got the campervan, still no hot water. We were constantly making phone calls asking to have these problems fixed. One comment from roadside assistance was "It drives ok doesn't it" Seriously, if we just wanted something to drive around in we wouldn't have paid for a campervan that had a toilet & shower on board, we would've just hired a car. We had to take the campervan to another place to get the hot water system checked. The assessment was "It isn't fit for putpose" eventually, by the end of the first week they decided to swap out the campervan. By this time our holiday was nearly over, our anniversary was ruined. It was difficult trying to enjoy the remaining days we had in NZ. Once we got back to the Christchurch depot, we had a discussion with them, we were given a partial refund. That was appreciated, however, it would have been a lot better had there been no reason to have to give a partial refund.

Waited forever at check-in when we had done all of the pre check-in.

We were missing half our curtains the first few nights until we got to Queenstown and they had a search for some we made work.... Even though we were assured they'd have some ready when we got there. Didn't even think to check if all curtains were there, thought it was a given.

Heating didn't work. Not even the fan heater when plugged into power. Got given a new heater in Queenstown.

Well kitted out, but nothing secured in the cupboards, so VERY noisy when driving!

On road help were useless, the only solution was to go back to a depot.... Like we had time for that in our packed one week holiday (hence opting for a camper!). They didn't even know what our vehicle was fitted with! We gave them our name and the vehicle registration, but they just kept saying it was a diesel heater.... It was definitely gas, their records should show that.

My husband said the vehicle was nice to drive, but he already had a lot of experience and enjoyment driving the same model as a minibus.

Fridge was good, great capacity and held contents well while driving... Probably the best thing about the vehicle.

Overall, it did not meet expectations. We had a lovely but very cold week. Spent extra time in restaurants because we dreaded rigging up to go back to our home for the week.
