Not great, ordered wallpaper on 15th October got a shipping confirmation. No sign of the wallpaper by the 22nd October. Sent them an email to ask where it was and they didn't even have the courtesy to reply. Just an email the following day to say that my order had been despatched (again!) so I guess it's a waiting game to see if it actually arrives this time!
Placed an order (#18013) a week ago and had no shipping information or delivery date given even though it says delivery is 5 working days. Email sent, no reply. Called the number, no answer. Will wait another day or 2 before lodging a claim with the bank for non arrival of goods. Not impressed at all, pay a bit more somewhere else and save the hassle
Dawn has made me the most beautiful pair of silk curtains for my lounge. She is always so helpful and goes the extra mile making sure they are the perfect length and discussing colour schemes and linings. Nothing is too much trouble. I won’t use anyone else to make my curtains, blinds and other soft furnishings.
Dawn made me four cushions for our new sofa. Absolutely delighted with them. A first class job. Will definitely be returning.
I'm a returning customer to Modern2 and I'm pleased to say that the quality and service is still as good as it was seven years ago. I've just had two blinds fitted that Dawn at Modern 2 made for me. They are fabulous, the workmanship is fantastic. Dawn came to the house and measured up for me, advised and kept me informed along the way on when they would be ready.
I can't recommend Modern2 enough!!
Our experience with Dawn has been fantastic from beginning to end. The finish on every blind/curtain in the house is beautiful. Dawn was extremely patient allowing us back and forth to choose the fabrics also giving us her professional advice. The whole house is now complete and we couldn’t be happier with them. The bedroom curtains I had made are absolutely exceptional - amazing quality materials and made to fit my windows perfectly.
Dawn is extremely knowledgeable and has a great eye for detail. She helped me pick out my material and pattern to complement the room along with the pole design. They look great!
The curtains were made and ready very quickly so will definitely be using Modern 2 again for my living room curtains! I’d definitely recommend.
Really disappointed with the service. After placing an order which never arrived, after over a week I emailed Modern 2 Interiors and was assured that they’d contacted Cole and Son and that my order had been sent that day by Express Delivery as there had been some sort of mix up. Needless to say, the order never arrived so I contacted them again. This time I was told the item was out of stock and they very much placed the blame entirely with Cole and Son, absolving themselves of any responsibility. To be fair, they processed the refund soon after but it left me back at square 1. Seems from the reviews I’m not the only one with this experience.

In short…the curtains were months late, were wrong and the service was absolutely disgusting.
There’s no need to read the lengthy review below, I have just written it to stop her replying with unjustified lies to try and wriggle her way out of it like she has been doing for the last 3 months.

I ordered 2 pairs of curtains and rails from Dawn on the 13th November 2024.
The price was £1,900 (supplied and fitted).
They were meant to have been fitted in January when the rails were delivered however the curtains were not ready.
The curtains were not finished/delivered until the end of February (6 weeks late).
The pair for the lounge were fitted, I was very happy with them. The pair for the bedroom however were a different story….the left curtain was too long (I’m guessing probably by about 16mm.
After speaking to Dawn on the phone she said it didn’t make sense as she had made both curtains the same length. I therefore got a spirit level on the rail and noticed it ran downhill from right to left by 12mm so she contacted the fitter to get him back.
When he came back he said he couldn’t alter it as if he were to drill new holes in my wall they would be so close to the existing holes that his drill head would just fall into them.
I then relayed this to Dawn and she said she would shorted the left curtain.
She asked how much I wanted the curtain taking up.
Although the rail was 12mm out, when the curtains were originally fitted they looked like they dragged on the floor by far more than 12mm.
I therefore asked if she could bring the curtains back before she altered them as I wasn’t prepared to guess.
She said she would have a think and get back to me.
One weak later I hadn’t heard anything so I text Dawn, she said she was in the middle of taking the curtain up and would let me know when they were done.
I phoned her and asked how she could be shortening them when we didn’t know the exact length. She assured me that it would be fine as she would go off the distance from the rail to the floor. I wasn’t very happy as I had specifically said I didn’t want this as it hadn’t worked the 1st time however she reassured me it would be fine.
A few days later I received a text message saying the curtains were ready for me to collect.
I text Dawn back and said I think it’s unreasonable for her to expect me to collect the curtains and put them up, especially when they weren’t right in the 1st place, they were 2 months late and I had paid for supply and fit.
Within seconds I received a phone call from Dawn, it was like she had lost the plot.
She was practically shouting and wouldn’t let me get a word in edge ways.
When I did try speaking she shouted “be quiet, be quiet” on multiple occasions which I thought was absolutely disgusting.
She then went on to blaming it all on her fitter and said that she was not responsible for this.
I managed to get a few sentences in and told her the price she had given was for supply and fit, therefore it didn’t matter whose fault it was but I wanted the curtains sorting.
Her reply was I don’t employ the fitter, he’s self employed, it’s nothing to do with me.
I explained that it doesn’t make a difference if she employs him or not, the deal I had with her was for supply and fit. She didn’t seem bright enough to understand this.
She then went on to telling me that she had dealt with people like me before and had even been to court because of people like me (this speaks volumes, theres a common denominator here).
She arranged for the fitter to come back that weekend.
Saturday came and the curtains didn’t fit again, a picture was sent to Dawn showing how bad they looked. Again Dawn phoned immediately in a rage like last time and basically said she was washing her hands of the job.
I’m sure she will reply to this review disagreeing with what has been said however everything written above is fact and 100% the truth.

Your reply is laughable, “we’re sorry you’re not happy with the service James, butter wouldn’t melt in our mouths James”.
I only wish I had a voice recording of all the phone calls between Dawn and myself to put on here to show people how your business really treats customers.
Also If the job was just to make the curtains why would Dawn pay a fitter to fit them.
If she didn’t pay the fitter are we supposed to believe he is working for free? Does he just go to peoples houses to fit curtains for fun.
Your remark about not coming back to my house because of concerns of safety
Is absolutely ludicrous…this again is another blatant lie that shows the length you are prepared to go.
With regards to a “personal attack” -
Modern-2-interiors is a small business. Dawn is the owner & the only person I dealt with.
I’m not going to reply to you again as I can’t be bothered with your compulsive lies.
To anyone out there looking for curtains I would seriously look elsewhere

Wallpaper was nice but didn’t suit.
Returns process unfair - item was return by Royal Mail within 14 days but somehow made it back to me as they couldn’t receive delivery. Company then refused to honour refund so stuck with £250 of wallpaper I don’t need. Go with a bigger company.
I wish I had read the reviews before as I’m not the only person suggesting you are taking a risk here!

Shocking customer service...
They don't respond to emails and are incredibly unhelpful when you speak to someone.
My delivery was significantly delayed with very poor and rude communication, yet they were quick to take my money.
Do not use this company, they do not want to help you and there is zero customer service and a complete lack of professionalism.

ORDERED SUNDAY EVENING AND ARRIVED TUESDAY MORNING. IT WAS AN EXPENSIVE WALLPAPER AND MODERN2INTERIORS WERE MUCH CHEAPER THAN JOHN LEWIS. GREAT SERVICE AND GREAT PRICE.
Received fabric when I ordered wallpaper. My mistake no returns on fabric gutted.
Ordered last Sunday took a week to arrive very poor.
At 9.99 p&p.

Watch out with this company. I ordered 2 rolls of expensive wallpaper (that took over a week to arrive) and when I went to return one, unused and in perfect condition, they told me there was a "restocking fee" that I would have known about if I had thoroughly read the terms and condition. In my case £18.50 (plus I had to pay tracker delivery which is fine). As a consumer of over 30 years I have never been charged for returning unused goods within the return period. And with wallpaper I would always order an extra roll to make sure I had enough. What a rip off. Never going back to this tinpot company!
