Took my Audi for its MOT at the Daventry branch on 04/06/2026. The vehicle initially failed due to a dangerous tyre defect. The retest passed; however, the inspector failed to remove the advisory associated with the replaced tyre, resulting in an incorrect entry on the official MOT certificate. When I raised the issue at the branch, the response was dismissive, and my vehicle was also returned to me in a dirty condition.
I escalated the matter to customer services, and I am pleased to say the response from their management team was professional and thorough. The error was acknowledged, an apology was given, and it was explained that the DVSA system does not permit retrospective amendments to MOT records. Staff have since been reminded of the correct procedure.
Overall: the branch-level experience was disappointing, but the handling by customer services was commendable. The issue should not have occurred in the first place, but the team dealt with it professionally once it was escalated.
