We’re really glad the Smart-Card system stood out. It’s our way of keeping the night focused on the fun part—good conversations—while skipping any of the “so… should we exchange numbers?” moments. A little less pressure in the room, and a nice surprise waiting the next day.

Great to hear the mix of venues, times, and age ranges worked for you too—we like to keep things flexible so there’s always a night that fits your vibe.

Thanks so much for coming out—and for giving speed dating a try for the first time! We’re really glad to hear the conversations felt natural and engaging—that’s exactly the atmosphere we aim for.

We’ve intentionally chosen not to bundle a set drink into the ticket, as it doesn’t always suit everyone or every venue. Instead, we focus on creating an experience where guests feel genuinely looked after—not just on the night, but beyond it.

Guests who engage in the spirit of the evening are often invited back to future events on us—and in some cases, considered for complimentary Curated Introduction opportunities. It’s a bit of our philosophy that being lovely has its perks—often in the form of future invitations and meaningful connections, rather than a set menu item not everyone may love. Keep being lovely and we’ll keep the perks coming! 😉

What you’re describing is actually pretty typical with in-person dating. Not every room is going to be a perfect fit, and sometimes it takes a couple of events before you meet someone you’d genuinely want to see again. That said, we’re glad to hear there were at least a couple of connections that stood out—that’s always a great sign.

Each event brings a different mix of people, and we do find that guests who attend a few times tend to have the most success as they get more comfortable with the format and meet a wider range of personalities.

If you decide to join us again, we’d love to have you back—and hopefully turn a “hit or miss” into a clear hit.

Our events are designed for people who are open to meeting someone and exploring a real connection, and we do our best to set that tone from the start. That said, dating is still human—sometimes people are figuring things out in real time, and not everyone arrives at the same level of readiness.

We’ll absolutely take your feedback on board and continue to emphasize that these events are for those genuinely open to dating and connection. It’s something we care about, and we’re always looking for ways to improve the experience.

Our hosts really do try to keep the flow of the evening comfortable and well-paced, so it’s great to hear that the small touches (like spacing and a quick breather between dates) made a difference. Even when there’s an occasional no-show — which can happen with live events — we always aim to turn it into a relaxed moment rather than a disruption.

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience, though it does sound like there may be some confusion with another service.

MyCheekyDate hosts in-person dating events, and we don’t currently operate on Anglesey. Our nearest events would be in Dublin (approximately 84 miles by ferry) or London (around 292 miles away), and we have no record of any attendance or booking under your name in either location.

We understand Trustpilot has reached out requesting further details about your purchase, but it appears they haven’t yet received a response. Without a confirmed booking or attendance, we’re unable to locate any interaction with our events.

At the same time, we’re committed to hosting inclusive events and, as such, we’re not able to verify or restrict attendance based on age.

That said, we always want guests to have a great experience and meet people they’re excited about. If this event didn’t quite feel like the right fit, we’d genuinely be happy to welcome you back to another evening on us—just reach out and we’ll take care of it.

Rather than offering set snacks or drinks — which not everyone may enjoy or may have dietary preferences around — we focus that value on the experience itself. Guests who connect well are often welcomed back with complimentary invitations, and at times invited into our Curated Introductions, helping us build rooms filled with people others genuinely enjoy meeting - at no additional charge. It's where being lovely has it's perks!

We also intentionally don’t use a bell system. Our aim is for the evening to feel less like an “event” and more like a natural series of conversations — ideally, a room where you wouldn’t even know something structured was taking place.

For those who like a bit of breathing room, we always encourage guests to stay afterwards to continue chatting with people they connected with. There’s also no pressure to make selections during the event itself — guests can take their time and submit their choices anytime before midnight, with mutual matches shared shortly after.

We’re also delighted to hear you enjoyed the venue and the host. A welcoming location and a friendly host help set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable evening.
