This business is a joke, seriously. It does not matter how good of a relationship you have with the sales assistant or whether you order an item in person or over the phone. They will drag you along for over a week, say it will arrive, and then voila, it gets canceled. They claim to have a shared inventory, but how is it that this inventory is never updated? Are we not in 2026, where real time communication between stores should not be impossible?

Poor return policy
This is the worst store on return policy. Bought a cologne didn’t meet the expectations returned with in 30 days. Online reviews are mostly 1 Star ratings .. I don’t recommend this store to no one
Where is my refund?
My online return was received on Feb 3rd. I was told I’d have an update by yesterday, but I haven’t heard anything. As a long-time customer, I find this delay and lack of communication unacceptable.
If you purchase from them online, prepare for frustration. It takes forever to receive your items, and even longer to get a refund. This is the last time I will be shopping at Neiman Marcus.

Tiffany at Canoga Park Neiman Marcus is the Best Sales Representative!!
I have shopped all Neiman Marcus Department Stores in Southern California from San Diego, Newport Beach, and Beverly Hills in search of exceptional optimal customer service. I must honestly report that although most sales associates are well-trained in providing pleasant customer service, no one had provided me with extraordinary superior customer service than a very charming and gracious sales associate in the Mackenzie-Childs Gift Department at Canoga Park Neiman Marcus named: Tiffany. She overshined all with her genuine kindness, professionalism, charm, and her williness to go "Above and Beyond" to give her customers an overall top-notch "Class A" shopping experience!
I have searched all Neiman Marcus in Southern California to find outstanding customer service and I found it from Tiffany! She gave me what no other sales associate in Southern California provided me, that one-on-one personalized attention that made me feel "Welcome" in the store as well as recommendations and suggestions on purchasing my items. I live in Rancho Cucamonga and I drove to the Canoga Park Neiman Marcus Store to return two beautiful unused Christmas Tree Skirts which were purchased on sale. But after returning, Tiffany suggested that I should just hold on to them for the next Christmas Holiday to avoid paying full price in the upcoming holiday season and she was abosolutely right, so after returning them I purchased them back the same day! Now if that isn't great customer service than I don't know what is!
I am now going to be a regular shopper but only at the Canoga Park Neiman Marcus Store because I've found the "Crème de la crème" as far as sales associates go. TIFFANY IS THE BEST!!!
Poor quality merchandise and terrible customer service
I purchased a pair of earrings--quite expensive. They broke on the first wear. I called NM. No exchanges. To return, they'd charge me $10. Let the buyer beware.
Charged for an Order I Never Placed - No Record, No Explanation
This was the worst possible way to lose customer trust. On December 21, I was charged on my Amex for an order that the company claims was placed on October 11. I did not place this order. I only added the item to my cart and never completed checkout.
What’s more concerning is that I cannot find this order anywhere. No order history in my account and no order confirmation email in any inbox. Customer service said they could see the order in their system, but they were unable to explain how it was placed or provide any proof that I authorized it.
I asked for an investigation, but they could not give a concrete timeline for when this issue would be resolved. Being charged for an order I didn’t place, with no record or explanation, is unacceptable and seriously undermines trust.

They never have anything in stock! Not even on the freaking website! I always get gift cards for here but there’s nothing to do with them!! Waste of money and useless for gc
Slow refunds, poor customer service
Did not process a return in their stated timeframe of 10-14 business days and refund could not be tracked other than via long tedious chats. Poor customer service in-person at the store with sales associate with little knowledge of products and unhelpful attitude. Used to be a great store so sad to see.

I am writing to formally complain about my recent experience with Neiman Marcus customer care regarding my online order.
I placed an order through the Neiman Marcus app and called the customer care department approximately five minutes later, while the order was still processing, to request in-store pickup at the Westchester Mall location. The agent I spoke with confirmed that the order was changed to in-store pickup and assured me it would be ready the following day.
The next day, I received an email stating that my order had been shipped. I immediately contacted customer care again and was informed that there were no notes in the system reflecting my prior call or the requested change. This indicates that the agent I initially spoke with either failed to document the call or did not make the change at all, despite explicitly confirming that it had been done.
I requested that a manager review the original call, as I was told all calls are recorded. No review was performed, no resolution was offered, and I was simply given a case number. This response is unacceptable.
For a company of this size, the lack of proper documentation, accountability, and follow-up is extremely unprofessional. Customers should not be penalized for internal process failures, especially when they relied on explicit confirmation from a Neiman Marcus representative.
This experience has significantly impacted my trust in Neiman Marcus, and I am extremely disappointed with how this matter has been handled.
I expect this issue to be properly reviewed and resolved, and I request written confirmation regarding the outcome.
It’s the worst place to shop online. They don’t automatically apply their promotions, if you don’t, you lose.

WORST Shopping Experience Ever
Ordered an Oscar de la Renta dress on Dec 11, 2025 for a time-sensitive event. It did NOT say "backorder" on the website when I placed the order. Now after a month, Neiman Marcus still cannot provide a vendor-confirmed ship date or even confirm availability beyond ‘backorder.’ Customer service could not give actionable details or escalation support. Basically "it is how it is" kind of attitude. This is unacceptable for luxury pricing and forced me to find alternatives. I will not purchase on Neiman Marcus EVER again.
Horrendous customer service
I ordered a men's cologne via the website on 11/25. It has never shipped.
Turns out it is not a stocked NM item and was being processed/shipped via a secondary vendor. Of course when I called customer service I spoke with someone overseas (most likely India) who could tell me nothing about the status of my order other than the fact that it was delayed. The rep also could provide no information about the secondary vendor...so I have no way of finding out the status of my order myself. Will likely be cancelljng the order shortly.
They always cancel because it’s "out of stock"
My orders always get canceled because the item is supposedly "out of stock"! I have never seen that in my life and I shop on many retailers. Don’t even bother to order, their inventory is not updated and your order will likely get canceled especially if the item is on sale.
I am appalled by the way the employees talk about customers when they think the customers can’t hear them
i am in the store and need to use the bathroom so i walk through a doorway where i think there might be one and i am wrong it is just a back room so i walk out and an employee asks what i am looking for i explain i am trying to find the bathroom and she tells me it is upstars i start walking to the escalator and i over hear one of her co workers talking bad about me saying stuff to the extent of i am so stupid i cant find the bathroom i am apauled to be hearing this as this store is suposed to be luxary with hood customer service this is for the Neiman Marcus in the South Park shopping mall in Charlotte NC

Dear Neiman Marcus Customer Relations Team,
I am writing to thank you for the unexpected opportunity to donate $150 to Neiman Marcus — an opportunity I was never asked about but apparently volunteered for anyway.
Here is the sequence of events, in case your internal systems failed to preserve it accurately:
I pre-ordered at December 2nd a Burberry scarf (order number WN00009198811) and was kindly offered a discount, with a clear promise that the discounted amount would be returned to me via a debit card. Generous and professional — or so it seemed.
Next, my order was canceled. When I called customer service, I apologized to and reassured them that the order was approved and would be fulfilled as originally agreed.
And indeed, I did receive the scarf.
What I did not receive was the promised discount. Nor did I receive the debit card. What I received was the silent assumption that I would simply absorb the loss and move on.
If Neiman Marcus — once a symbol of luxury retail and customer care — is now experiencing financial hardship, I wish someone had informed me. I might have chosen a larger donation. As it stands, I assume my $150 contribution will help keep the lights on or subsidize a spreadsheet that says, “customer probably won’t notice.”
To be clear: this is not about the money. It is about a written promise, confirmed verbally, and then ignored without explanation or follow-up. That is not a billing error; it is a breach of trust.
I would appreciate one of two outcomes:
1. The immediate fulfillment of the originally promised discount, or
2. A candid explanation confirming that Neiman Marcus no longer honors its own commitments.
Either way, clarity would be refreshing.

Customer Serivice DOESN'T listen
I ordered boots from the site and received an email it would be shipped by FedEx. So I went on the FedEx website to have my package held for pick-up because I wouldn't be home on the day it was coming - I didn't want it stolen. However, the Fedex site wouldn't let me put in the request to hold it, I had to call Neiman Marcus because they put a restriction on the package.
I started a chat with NM and asked them to remove the restriction but they said they couldn't. Instead of letting me respond with other options, they automatically said we put in a request to have it returned to us. I never asked you to do that!!! After 3 supervisors later, they stated there isn't anything they can do.
Now, my package is heading back to their warehouse. My boots wont arrive on time and I have to wait for this entire process.
This was my first and last time ordering from them.
