Nonexistent customer service

I had been a customer with a .ch email address for many many years, but recently I was very busy and didn't notice my email had filled up and I therefore did not get the subscription renewal email. I hadn't logged in to the admin portal for years and the bill would have been in there... had I kept my recovery email up to date. This review is a cautionary tale to expect minimal support replies and no mercy if you find yourself in a similar situation. Contacting customer support about resetting passwords etc results in either no reply, or a passive aggressive one about logging into the admin portal and no followup, even though as a customer I was clearly having trouble and myself being persistent about following THEM up, asking for help with re-doing the recovery email. Heaven forbid that a customer gets sick or busy caring for others AKA life happens. I followed the sparse information in their FAQs, even checked to ensure I had read that information first as they say they don't reply if the answer is already in there. So I did contact support separately about the admin portal issues as advised, but all I got was radio silence and my account disconnected. All that makes it very difficult to remain a customer even if someone wanted to. I absolutely do not recommend using this service.

I’m writing to report an issue with our Neomailbox service. The renewal period passed, and the service stopped working. We paid for a 2-year renewal, but the mailbox is still inactive.
We reached out to your support team, but unfortunately, we haven’t received any response. As a result, we’ve effectively lost the amount paid for two years of service.
Could you please look into this matter urgently and help restore the service or process a refund?

Help Tickets IGNORED FOR MONTHS

I have been waiting for MONTHS for NEOMAILBOX.COM to answer my CUSTOMER SUPPORT REQUESTS. Their up-time as an email provider is very good, I’d give it a five star rating, HOWEVER, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE READ EVERYTHING I CAN FIND IN THEIR FAQ LIBRARY on the feature I need to use… I have A STRING OF UNANSWERED TICKETS that are preventing me from correctly understanding and using features that they offer. These tickets go back to 5/28/2025. I understand that sometimes A TICKET will get mis-filed or ‘Fall through the preverbal, ‘cracks’ in the system, it happens; but several in a row over a protracted length of time???
Having their help on understanding the missing or ‘cloudy’ details to enable me to correctly setup these features would be a great help to me. I have been floundering trying to get these features to work the way I think they are supposed to work, however, I’ve made NO PROGRESS toward what I am thinking is the purpose of this feature, a way to protect my email address from ending up being sold on the email address broker boards and suffering the resulting deluge of spam, etc, all because their Customer Support department is not responding to my support tickets that describe, as best i can, the details that I cannot understand enough in their documentation, to be effective in bringing about the desired result. I AM COMING TO THE END OF THIS YEAR’S SUBSCRIPTION WITH THEM AND I WILL PROBABLY JUST FIND ANOTHER EMAIL PROVIDER WHO IS RESPONSIVE TO THIER PAYING CUSTOMERS and NOT renew my subscription this year, even if it will cost me more money to subscribe to one of their competitors who support their paying customers when they are willing to do the reading and the work themselves if they could only have some help fully understanding the documentation provided.
I’ve been with Neomailbox since 2016 and have only asked them for help a VERY few times. I’d say I have been an ideal customer for almost 10 years and I am only asking for what they say they will provide, response to a customer’s help ticket within two days. (I’m out beyond the two month range).
There used to be an understanding in doing business with people, an unspoken code that loyalty, patience and understanding by a customer would be appreciated by the person who was providing the service… an unwritten code of mutual respect and appreciation. Seems as though Neomailbox is, for some reason, having difficulty making that work for some of their customers, especially this one, (as well as others whose reviews I have been reading).
Somewhere out there is a company who abides by that code and I will redirect my time and efforts away from trying to work with Neomailbox and toward finding an email provider who still understands the laws of respect and reciprocity. END of REVIEW

Two days after submitting the above review of TWO Stars i received an apology from the person who i am beginning to think IS the ONLY Customer Service person at Neomailbox and she must also wear tons of other ‘Hats’ as well. She is professional, personable, patient, knowledgeable, VERY helpful, most-likely ‘Sleep Deprived’…(this is not the first time she has come to my rescue from Switzerland during day-time hours in California)… and a gifted teacher/communicator. Where they were hiding her for the last two months is a mystery. In fact, the whole Neomailbox Customer Service response-time issue is a mystery. It is because of her that i have raised their ratings in my last two reviews. In my book, SHE gets a rating of FIVE STARS, so that averages the Neomailbox Upper Management rating of one or two Stars up to an overall rating of 3 ish. That has to be the only explanation i can imagine for the Neomailbox Customer Service response-time mystery.

Customer support serms to be non existent

I have been unable to send/forward emails for quite a while now using my Motorola phone. I sent a message to support when I got my new phone several months ago but never heard anything back.
I have done everything in the faq's.and still have been unable to get anything.
I have been with Neomailbox for several years and have been pleased with the service until about a year ago.
Sadly, if customer service does not improve, I will cancel my subscription.

Prolonged difficulty loading Inbox and no customer service

I have had weeks of difficulty loading my Inbox and emails to the service contact have been ignored. I have thousands of accumulated emails over years with Neomailbox and, at best, can only access some of the most important ones by doing a search from the sent-mail folder. This is unacceptable and incredibly disruptive. Indeed, it gives the impression of Neomailbox as a company having failed and almost ceased operating. Please correct this problem and provide a way of downloading all messages offline for preservation, as the service is clearly unreliable.

My apologies for the delayed response to your support request. We had checked your account when we received your request and its core functionality (via IMAP/POP3 and SMTP) seemed to be working ok. The issue may be specific to webmail. We are investigating further and will keep you updated via the support ticket.

Customer Support Severely Lacking


Good security, reliable most of the time, however, customer support needs to IMPROVE!!!, They can’t even post an outage on their website and i waste FAAAR TOO MUCH TIME trying to trouble shoot an outage in their WEBMAIL PRODUCT. For the amount of money they charge, the customer support should be better. With every day i am not receiving my emails their rating will drop one star. When the stars are gone, so is this customer. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

UPDATE - Within 24 hours of the onset of the technical cause of the problem, ‘me not receiving my emails on my iPhone and not being able to log into my online account (reported above)’ the problem HAS BEEN fixed, my emails have come through into my iPhone, INCLUDING automated Customer Service Responses to my emails that I had sent to their Support Department, reporting the problems, - (these responses had been prevented from being delivered to me by the same problem which existed in the Neomailbox end of their email delivery system).
I still think that they need to engineer some way to MONITOR their system for failures and POST ‘Service Interruptions’ on their Primary Web Page Informing their customers of an existing problem AND ALSO alerting an ON CALL ‘trouble shooting and problem resolution person’ to login remotely and troubleshoot/resolve the problem and go on-site if necessary, to resolve the problem. {That was a part of my responsibilities when working in the Information Technology industry}.
I have also received emails sent by their Customer Support person informing me that both problems that I had reported have been fixed. As a result, I AM UPGRADING MY RATING FROM THREE TO FOUR STARS.

Thanks for your review. We have been working to improve our customer support and will keep at it. We will also have a system status page available shortly.

We do have system monitoring in place and an engineer on call 24/7 to attend to infrastructure issues, which are normally addressed within minutes. Yesterday, although all systems were up, delivery of some messages was delayed.

For the first time in a decade; Lousy support

For the first time in a decade, I was unable to login to my emails. I have contact their "support" system which is by email only 10 times. They keep sending emails about changing the Control Panel password. I HAVE NO PROBLEM GETTING INTO THE CONTROL PANEL. As I have told them numerous times, I did what they said..changed the password to the webmail but it stll doesn't work.I have been unable to login since February 7th.

Neomailbox - good service.

The service might be a bit slow, but I got a reply and a fix within a couple of days. The webmail always works.

As far as billing is concerned, over the last few years to renew the account and pay is super-easy and you get confirmation etc - no sweat.

I've been with them a few years and want to tell you it's far from being all bad.

Neomailbox appears to be abandoned.

I've been a customer with Neomailbox for several years. I have 2 accounts. But in the last 2 years, they haven't been processing my annual renewal payments. And now, I'm not even getting renewal notices. I tried contacting support using multiple methods, but no response. Both my accounts expired despite wanting to renew. It appears that Neomailbox has been completely abandoned.

(June 2021) CAVEAT EMPTOR

(June 2021) CAVEAT EMPTOR. I have been a Neomailbox customer, and fan, since 2011, and have, until now, been satisfied with them. I dealt with customer service on several occasions and found them to be reasonably prompt. However, I am ending my Neomailbox subscription. Unless you like high frustration levels and love wasting money, don't just walk away from these neomailbox yahoos, their time in the sun is over---run as fast as you can.

I used Neomailbox from 2011 through 2020 as my primary work-related account, with a Hotmail account as a secondary back-up. In January, 2021, I was bumping up against the limit of my Neomailbox standard ($USD 60 or so) 1 GB usage, so I increased it on-line by a further 1 GB at USD $12 or so. Paid by visa, after a week the additional 1 GB was still not added , I was not receiving new mail and had to purge emails by forwarding to my Hotmail account to free up space. I sent three notifications to Neomailbox customer support complaining over a week; although I was given a “ticket number” I never once received a dedicated human reply. On checking my control panel on the 10th day, I found that my storage was indicated to have increased to 2048 (2 GB) and I was satisfied that the issue was resolved. However, several days later, (two weeks after payment!) I could not save drafts, there was no sent mail saving, and I then found that emails were not delivered to me. And once new emails get turned back, they got lost in the ether. Again, this was 14 days after payment withdrawn from my Visa account. So obviously I was only still allocated the original 1 GB and they *&(% lied about it the additional 1 GB storage. I had to purge emails again to free up storage to allow me to receive again. Ticket number it is Ticket ID: UCS-360348 for what it is worth. Total waste of time getting a human response and I urgently needed the space as I was involved in a court case with pretty heavy documentation that I required to receive. Frustration level over the top, especially as i had planned for the extra storage and was denied it, and I missed important emails that I never knew about.

Some wars we can win, some are not winnable, so I transferred over time all my data to another Swiss account..won't say the name as don't want to be accused of being a shill. And just as I write this—the reason I am writing this---I lost all my contacts. Completely gone.

Neomailbox is just a joke now.

Leave well alone - dangerous.

I had a Neomailbox email account for years until it suddenly stopped working and they stopped responding to emails. The email service was marketed as totally masking IP addresses but this turned out to be FANCIFUL as a simple look at email headers showed that the local IP was published - I had placed quite a lot of confidence in the service only to find it was (ostensibly, in my opinion) an utter scam! They took days to respond to emails and there was no telephone support - it was very very disappointing, not to mention dangerous if you had been relying on them to provide the service they had advertised. Scamming BOTTOMFEEDERS.

Don't use them!

Don't use them!

They haven't acknowledged my renewal payment.

Slow downloading of attachments.

Slow response. I have experienced problems receiving verification emails from a broker, followed by timeouts because the emails arrive too late.

Slow or perhaps non-existent customer support. No human has responded to multiple support issues. Only an automated email that gives a ticket number, without follow-up by a human.

Det er IKKE troværdig som email provider

Jeg ledte efter sikkerhed, derfor tænkte jeg om Schweiz - og ja, jeg fik sikkerhed (eller det tror jeg), men jeg fik også den VÆRRE service EVER.

Jeg fik en emailadresse hos dem, og så startede problemer: det er en dårlig drøm at konfigurere adressen i mobiltelefonen, iPad'en og computeren.

Når du endelig laver kunststykket, finder du at du ikke kan synkronisere kalenderen, og de sagde, at de skulle implementere det snart: jeg spurgte i efteråret 2014.

De har den dårligste kundeservice, jeg aldrig har oplevet: man svarer ikke til emails, og gør ingenting, til at forbedre servicen - men passe på, hvis du ikke betaler hver måned.

Kommunikationen med serveren mislykkes en gang om måneden, og derfor er man nødt til at omkonfigurere alt en gang om måneden.

Jeg anbefaler det IKKE! Undgå for enhver pris!
