Trash Service, Shady Business

I requested an account deletion through customer support. Apparently, they require a copy of your driver's license, passport, birth certificate, or other government ID. I don't full trust sending out such sensitive information out over the internet to a company I'm not confident in.

I've had a back and forth with customer service. I originally sent an ID photo with all information blurred except for my first initial and last name because that's the only information they have to check against.

They came back saying that was unacceptable and they needed my face, address, date of birth, etc. to confirm I'm actually who I say I am... I feel like I'm missing something. What are they confirming this information against? I've never bought anything. I only played Vindictus for a short time.

Again I refused, saying I would sooner seek council than send my ID. Saying, essentially, they're asking me to expose myself so they can look after my security.

Received an email back saying, paraphrased: I'm the highest point of contact you're allowed to talk to, have your lawyers contact ours.

Well, I'm poor and have no intention of getting a lawyer. Looking at their Terms, I'm actually not allowed to. I have to represent myself in private arbitration.

I just want to delete my account. Most places, it's the click of a button. With Nexon? Get a lawyer. This is why everyone hates you Nexon.

Paid to do nothing. No ticket help.

Like other publishing companies, "I take your money and could care less about you."
From looking at the other reviews, they don't respond to deny these claims, meaning they could care less about customer satisfaction.

lazy scamming pricks

nexon stole 5 $ from me and support did not take any sufficent action.
they do not care enough about banning hackers and cheaters which means their gameservers are loaded with cheaters (and farmbots / addbots in the rpgs). people get banned by mistake alot. nexon games always have tons of bugs and glitches. it always takes nexon forever to actually fix the known issues / bugs / glitches. nexon is the last company i would ever buy a video game / premium services in free to play games off.

never trust nexon. it will cost you money, time, nerves. you will end up here on trustpilot telling others how bad nexon is.

Customer service is dodgey as heck!

Awesome games, but outside of the games, trying to get help is like pulling teeth.
Use caution when buying into Nexon games.
I've spent over 10,000 hours in nexon games and have spent close to that in USD.

Overall I don't regret it but nexon has a lot of room for improvement.

MapleStory player for 8 years.

I'm playing MapleStory, one of Nexon's most succssesful games for 8 years, I had many problems with them, with ticket system that takes 7 months to respond and also tons of untreated hackers in the game and when I reported them a scammer once, theyv'e done nothing about him but give me a little reward after getting huge scam. Also got false banned few and few times because of their in-game glitches and the game just getting worse and worse every update due to Nexon that ruining it.

Unacceptable service. Horrible support.

This company is profit-hungry, giving little-to-none effort in responding to their customers and users. If a ticket is submitted, it will take AT LEAST a month or two for it to even begin its process. If a request is submitted, it will be answered in the least useful way -- giving either words of advice without resolving the issue, and thereby dismissing it entirely, or giving a small amount of "credit\points" as compensation, when barely 1 item costs that much.

As a veteran customer of this company (unfortunately), I wish I could give proof but Nexon also likes to hide behind its vast customer base whose never had problems because they started playing in the newer updates of the game, completely dismissing how the company used to be.
