Clean Up
Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning following manufacturer's recommendations
Preparation Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, wax, loose paint, dirt, or fungal growth, anything that could prevent proper adhesion.
Do not apply to damp areas. Identify and resolve the source of dampness before painting.
This product can be applied without a primer on most surfaces.
For metal surfaces, improved protection is achieved by first applying a suitable anti-corrosive primer, such as Rustins Quick Dry Red Oxide Primer.
For timber, the paint can be applied directly, but using Rustins Quick Dry Primer & Undercoat will help minimise visible wood grain if a smoother finish is desired.
Application Always ensure to prepare the surface properly for best results.
Stir well before use to ensure even consistency.
Do not thin the product.
Apply evenly using a brush.
Apply one or two coats, allowing 3-4 hours between coats in warm, dry conditions.
Avoid painting in cold or damp weather, as this will significantly extend drying times.
Do not apply outdoors if fog, rain, or high humidity is expected before the paint has dried.
