I enjoy reading the NYT - but they are sneaky about increasing their subscription and they will never ever let you leave! I just spent over an hour trying to cancel a subscription that went from 4.05 $ to 13.50 without knowing why. They claim they could not charge my Amex credit card that is why I have to wait till the next payment - because the account is in arrears. That is a lie. Amex is never in arrears. Stay away from this fraudulent outfit!!!

Spelling bee has some very obscure answers like most American puzzles. Or Canadian American maybe I should say. I am never ever going to subscribe.

NYT is publishing half-baked capitalist propaganda and peddling it as news. I have had it with glowing reviews of businesses masquerading as actual content which conveniently leave out the dark and problematic details behind the success. This is not news. It is simply another mechanism for advertisement.

The NY Times started making you subscribe for games that used to be free.What a rip-off. Greedy.

I’m so sick of supposed reputable news sources just repeating the same bullshit for sensationalized non-factual reporting. Just to make yourselves richer and in control. You should be ashamed of yourselves. But that would mean you had actual human normal functioning empathy, which clearly you don’t. The world really is run by psychopaths.

Well, from here in the UK I like to keep an eye on US-based reporting of the Trump second term. And if I may be allowed to express a personal opinion without receiving any death threats, I prefer the NYT coverage to that of any other news source.
I’m sure some people will think I prefer it because it fits better with my world view. They may be correct. My view of the world is that it’s a mess.

Like the Guardian, is a master of misleading headlines and articles where no line is technically incorrect but information is omitted in a biased way to fool teenagers learning about the world and give them a less informed opinion than before reading it. They don't have originality in their games either when half the games are bought or based on stolen concepts and then strike down clones of variant games off something they bought and not made. Rentseeking and fakeness to the highest degree.

The New York Times won't post comments critical of their opinion writers. The writers constantly obfuscate outward lying by using words like "misspoke", "exaggerated", "claimed", "misstated", "overstated", "misleading", etc. They refuse to call a lie a lie. And, if you dare to call it out in a comment, they refuse to post it. They are cowards and enablers.

Still on hold to cancel my subscription to the New York Times waiting for a "supervisor" have called three times previously; one time the agent hung up on me. I'm still being charged $163.75 for a subscription that I cancelled in mid February. It's a shame that this publication is so shady. I've filed a case with Capital One credit card; it will take 90 days. They'll probably charge me again. Claims that they can't find my email address while I still receive digital stuff from them and I unsubscribe below each time. Don't ever take a subscription from these guys; they'll charge your card after you cancel subscription! Still on hold; guy back gave me the billing department #; can't do anything until I call his number 800 753 7759 not a listed number bogus. Don't do anything with this publication!!!!

Literally so many pop-ups. I made an account to read an article, FOR MY EDUCATION, and then it said I needed to pay. Wasting my f-ing time.

I've been using The New York Times for a while now, and the overall experience has been decent. The content quality is generally good, with broad news coverage and a certain level of quality in-depth reporting and feature articles, which is the main reason I continue reading
However, there are some things that make me hesitate. The subscription price is relatively high, and some content is quite repetitive; not every article offers new information or perspectives. Additionally, the subscription and account settings are sometimes not intuitive enough, and the user experience could be improved
Overall, it's a platform with professional content, but its cost-effectiveness and user experience still have room for improvement. If you highly value in-depth news reporting, it's an option; however, for the average reader, whether to subscribe long-term might require further consideration

Rarely get paper on time. at least once a month delivery missing. AND I only get weekend delvery!

Wish I could give it zero stars. The NYT manufactures false one-sided stories to feed a sensationalist point of view. Even when they are given the information from multiple angles they cherry pick what facts to include and which to leave out.

daily mini crossword was incorrect stating that there was 5 fingers on a hand, when in fact there are 4 and a thumb. this lead me to believe the answer was 4 and be stumped the whole game. I highly suggest that the game maker take an entry level anatomy class and count how many fingers are on a hand during this. I personally do not believe that fingers and thumbs are the same. As a thumb I would be insulted to be compared or worse called a finger! please correct this error for your own sake as you wouldn't want to annoy a whole load of thumbs. 16 billion give or take a few.
