Fair enough I guess it's a Friday afternoon!!!?? Has the hide to offer to rebook me as a midnight callout for a further $290 on top of the agreed price. Are you kidding? Is there anyone even running this business who understands basic customer service? Won't ever be calling O'Brien again.
Wanted a phone quote only for sliding door glass replacement. Had measurements. Person wanted my full name, address,, (had already given suburb) phone number I asked why they needed all this information when all I wanted at this stage was a quote. I hadn't said I'd book it in with them, kept stipulating at this stage I only wanted a quote, that 2 previous companies hadn't wanted all my personal information at this point in time. Person kept telling me it's their policy. Seems like a lot of unnecessary personal information required by them for a comparison quote. Needless to say, I didn't waste any more of his time.
Had my windscreen replaced at Windscreen's O'Brien in Muswellbrook. No issues with the windscreen so far but they offered an additional service of replacing the cabin air filter and my windscreen wipers. Rather than just replacing the rubbers on my wipers they removed the whole genuine Toyota windscreen wipers and threw them in the bin. When I asked for them back when I realised what they had done they said their bin had been emptied and they were gone. The Manager (Richard) was rude and blamed me for what they did. He refused to replace them. I asked for information to be able to make a complaint and he said it will just come back to him for a response and he won't be changing his mind. Be very careful if you are offered this service and be clear about what they intend to do. Not recommended.
I had a windscreen replaced back in January 2024, technician scratched a trim, trim was eventually replaced but was stuffed around after it was booked in on a certain day, having waited around all day no show so I contacted the manager and waited days for them to respond, was told the technician that was going to do the job abruptly didn’t show up for work, so eventually new technician came and did the trim but a plastic cover button was broken in the fitting and was too be replaced, one was apparently posted to me but I never saw it, was then told can I come and get it myself from Morley which would have been close to 50km round trip for me, this was over 2 months ago, I rang head office 5 days ago and was told a manager would contact me and surprise surprise nothing, just disgraceful way to treat customers, nearly nine months to finish a job,would never deal with O’briens again.
Failed to show up for a quote not once, but twice. Then never received a call back. Very frustrating when we had taken time off work to be home and they didn’t show up twice. Job was an urgent safety issue. Shockingly bad operations and customer service.
I noticed a small chip on my windscreen on Thursday and I called O’Brien for a quote to repair. I told the employee it’s the size of a dollar coin and it’s in the middle of the windscreen. I was quoted $280.00, after some negotiations it came down to $214.00 and the quote was emailed to me. I have a photo of the chip against the dollar coin also a copy of the quote from O’Brien. I called @Speedy Autoglass to compare price. I was told this chip cannot be repaired I would need a new windscreen for $300 odd dollars. I went to @Supercheap Auto and got a screen chip repair kit for $38.00 which did the job.
How ludicrous is this. Sheer daylight robbery. So in reality chip repairs do not exist.
