Thank you for your feedback — we're sorry to hear about the frustration caused by this call. We fully respect the Telephone Preference Service, and all calling data we use is sourced through a reputable, established provider with robust screening procedures.

When you contacted our office, our manager was unfortunately unavailable, and we offered to call you back. We have since been unable to match your review to any customer account, and without further details we cannot identify the calls in question or investigate how the number was sourced — which is why we were unable to take further action at the time.

We take complaints like this very seriously. If you are willing to share your name, email address, postal address, and the phone number that was called, we will immediately:

- Remove your details from our database
- Check the number against our records and our data supplier's screened lists
- Raise the matter directly with the company we source data from

Our contract with the database source removes us from having to do additional checks as pre data screening is a clause within our contract.

Thank you for your review, and we're truly sorry for the upset this has caused you and your mother.

We completely understand your anger. You were protecting a vulnerable family member, and any one of us would feel exactly the same in your position. Please know your concerns have been taken seriously from the moment you raised them.

We want to be open about what happened. We have listened to the call in full, and we can confirm that no pressure was applied at any point. The root of the problem was this: the telephonist who made the call was a new trainee who failed to qualify the call correctly. When your mother explained she was elderly and confused, our safeguarding policy required the call to end politely with no appointment booked — and that didn't happen. That was our failure, and we sincerely apologise.

Since then, that employee has completed intensive retraining in safeguarding vulnerable customers, as well as further training on our company, who we are and what we do, so that every customer receives accurate information. We have also reviewed our procedures so that any indication a person may be vulnerable brings a call to an immediate, courteous end.

We also want to be transparent: we proactively contacted Trading Standards to seek guidance on this matter, and they confirmed that as no transaction took place, it is not a matter they would take forward as a Trading Standards case.
Regardless, we felt it important to hold ourselves to account, which is why we carried out our own full internal investigation.

To clarify one point: the calls were made from our own registered work mobile numbers, connected to our dialling system — not masked or third-party numbers.

As we discussed on the phone, Gary, we have prepared a full internal report into this matter, together with our formal complaints procedure, and we are ready to send it to you. However, there appears to be an issue with the contact details we currently hold for you, and we've been unable to reach you.
