Very good positive experience.
Headed by Michelle, I wonderful caring individual. You can certainly see she cares deeply for these owls and their welfare. Not just the owls actually, all animals!

Top place. Properly good with kids. No shouting, no forcing things, just calm and easy and the kids actually listen because of it. My lad was into it straight away and stayed interested the whole time, which never happens.

The owls are looked after spot on. They’re not dragged out or made to perform — if they want space, they get it. You can tell the birds are respected and treated right, not just there for a show.

The rescue work’s the real deal too. These owls are clearly cared for properly and their welfare comes first, full stop.

All in all, really solid experience. Kids learn a lot, everything’s done the right way, and you leave feeling good about it. Would 100% recommend to any parent.

Michele was patient, friendly and fun. We learnt about the owls and were given lots of time. I bought the experience for my boyfriend but actually got to join in too. We loved it.

Absolutely fantastic experience in a wonderful setting. The team were so knowledgeable and it was lovely to see positive training methods which were respectful of the birds.

I had the most memorable day with Owl Enlightenment. I especially loved the ethos of what they're doing and their restraint free handling, the owls seem so happy and relaxed and the knowledge of the people who run it is amazing. Nearly all of the owls have been rescued from neglected homes and now live a very happy life.

Paid for an experience for my son. He learnt so much and had such a brilliant time, he still talks about it now and the experience was over a year ago!
He has ADHD and can be a bit enthusiastic sometimes but he was really able to remain calm when with the owls. Michelle was brilliant with both her owls, me and my son. We will definitely be back again in the future.

We had an incredible experience with Owl Enlightment! I volunteer with a birds of prey rescue in America and visited Owl Enlightment to see how their rescue operated. Michelle and her volunteers were very friendly and professional, showing us the sanctuary and introducing us to all of the birds. She takes very good care of the birds, making sure we disinfected our shoes and hands because of the bird flu. The mews were very clean and the birds were well taken care of. What impressed me the most was how Owl Enlightment has a "No-Restraint" policy, allowing the birds to choose to voluntarily interact with the public educational program. To be "No-Restraint" takes a lot of time and training, building trust with the birds and letting them have control of the situation instead of being forced to comply. We got to fly 3 of the owls, which was amazing, especially with how easily they flew to strangers. The owls were healthy and friendly, and it was very apparent that their trust in Michelle helped them to work so easily with us. Besides flying the owls, we had a tour of the facility, learning about each of the birds. Michelle was very attentive to the needs of the birds, having us stand further away from the enclosures of the owls who were more sensitive due to their past treatment before she acquired them. She put their needs first, making sure they were comfortable. As someone who also volunteers with a birds of prey rescue, I was very impressed with everything I saw and experienced at Owl Enlightment. They work from the heart, making sure all of the birds are treated with respect. I would highly recommend a visit or program with Owl Enlightment, and if you feel so moved, please consider making a donation to this non-profit.

I am writing this as one of the volunteers working at this owl rescue centre. I am impressed at how the provision combines high quality care and love for owls with varied and interesting educational opportunities for children and adults to learn and interact with these amazing creatures.
I have given 5 stars as i would thoroughly recommend a visit to this rescue centre.

I have visited many times as a spectator, a photographer and a tutor to the home Ed pupils they support so well. I recently was invited to photograph owls flying under Christmas lights and was made to feel very welcome and given every opportunity to to grow and learn in a hobby they know I love .
