Avoid at all costs. It’s a “non profit” scam. It’s a way for landlords to collect over $4,000 a month passive income from renters. It’s a way for felons to get their freedoms back from a judge.
Such a dishonest organization, and you can forget about headquarters doing anything for you either. Let alone respond and I was a member in good standing/comptroller. The house I was at ran up a 22,000 dollar debt and they came one day and said that they were closing the house. The Virginia Chapter is bullshit. They are supposed to help not hinder. They caused me more stress and money than I gained by being there. It became very clear that it was about the money and not Recovery. Still a year sober but no thanks to them. Save your money and go somewhere else is my opinion as well as the above statement. They threatened me and constantly harassed me up until I left. That part is a fact as well as the losing money because of their negligence. Thanks
Do NOT goto any Oxford House, especially the one at 111 Empire Blvd, Rochester, NY, 14609!
There are two lifers there who are NOT recovered, still living in "addiction obsession" (controlling, dishonest, and potentially violent)!
They are NOT there to help out honest members of the community that need support and they are there to threaten, intimidate, and abuse the other members of the house! Don't like it? They will break their own rules and NYS & Federal law and throw residents out in middle of the night and steal their money for NOT relapsing for advocating for themselves against these two criminal bullies!
Yeah some real good roll models there, NOT!

Oxford House national office will ignore complaints and NOT even answer legitimate concerns of abuse by local house tyrants!
Shameful pieces of work at that place. Along with the not-recovered addict Mike who managers the multiple rochester houses and brags how much of a "great guy" he is while still manipulating and abusing other addicts, including at risk women!
