Inflexible and unhelpful
After a great start to my children's invisalign braces, I have experienced very poor customer service from Oxford Orthodontics, the technician and the reception staff. I left 1 hour and 40 minutes prior to my child's appointment in order make the start time, despite that we all know Oxford traffic is unpredictable and despite all efforts we were 12 minutes late. I called before that time, at 8 minutes late to let them know we were outside, stuck in the traffic, and I was told curtly that their policy is not to allow anyone who is more than 10 minutes late to see the technician. They themselves are almost always running behind and expect you to wait, but won't give even the slightest accommodation to you in return if you are late, despite best efforts. I get that some people might be intentionally late or careless - I wasn't, yet they speak to you like a naughty child, despite spending literally thousands on braces. I live outside of Oxford and chose Oxford Orthodontics as it is close to my childrens' school and I also spoke at length to them about the travel challenges at the time, and they were reassuring. What a different experience once they have your money. I feel my experience is totally irrelevant to them, and because the technician refused to see us - even though it was just a quick check up - I will need to make another three hour round trip today. I told them this and they didn't care. If you want a friendly and understanding orthodontic service, where they are trying to help you, this is not my experience. Policies are not there to punish customers, and most people would expect client-centred thinking after spending 4k+.
