They got a new website “ uplift-desks.com.au” been scammed out of $230.00.

this is a scam, I have been scammed.

Have set up new Facebook as kanga desks

I reported to Facebook but they won’t remove it I bet

We also tried to follow up tracking for the desk, but had no response. We checked out the "fake reviews" and it seemed legit especially that it was on shopfiy. Hopefully this helps someone else not get scammed!

SCAMMMM. DON'T FALL FOR IT LIKE I DID.
Put the website url into a domain search and it came up with sole trader TAYLOR LOGIE as the registrant. She is the person behind all this and stealing people's money. Looks like the website may have been taken down now as the website url is broken?
Have reported and filed a dispute claim.
Hopefully we can all get at least some of our money back. Some awful people in the world!

This website is a scam. The desk never arrived after placing an order and contact attempts to the business go unanswered. A quick Google search will tell you the name of the person who owns the website which has been passed on to police. I have also lodged a dispute with my bank

Scan website. Avoid this website and report to your bank to dispute your transaction. Reported the abuse of this website. Hope to bring it down successfully.

They are a scam website. They do not reply to messages once you have the made the purchase. They do not send the purchase. They are a complete scam. I paid them $350 and have not seen my desk in weeks with delivery meant to be 1-5 days. Super frustrating and annoying behaviour from what I can only describe as con artists. Others have said the same. Avoid at all costs.

Like the others have said, it's a scam. I wish I'd read these reviews and done some due diligence before purchasing. There are some clear red flags:

- No ABN shown on the website
- The privacy policy and terms reference ozdesks Pty ltd, but there's no such company on the ABN register
- The ABN used to register the domain name (ozdesks.com.au) is registered to a sole trader named Taylor Logie in QLD, not a Pty ltd
- The prices are too good to be true

If you have affected, contact your bank and leave a review here. Hopefully we'll get our money back and this scam will be shut down.

The same scammers have set up a new site which is a clone of Oz Desks called Kanga Desks dot com dot au. FB Pages and ads same style as before.

Fake company selling desks at low cost. They do not respond to enquiries, do not provide tracking and are a scam.

I was having the same problem with this shop, I ordered mine from the 19th of July, when I asked for the delivery they said the delivery will come on Monday or Tuesday next week. However, nothing came although I have tried to contact them through their website about giving me the update of the delivery. As I am quite upset with them, I am trying to communicate with my bank to see whether I can get my money back

Scam. Fake store. No desk arrive and no responses.

Absolute fraudulent SCAM.

Edit August 2024: it looks like they have rebranded as kangadesks.com.au buyer beware. Same deals on desks, free freight across Australia. I did a test by leaving a review on their site, refreshed the page and it was instantly deleted. I believe this is the exact same scam.

This seller advertises unbelievable prices with free shipping across Australia on desks. I Placed order earlier in July. Website advertises same day shipping. 2 weeks later, Ozdesks have not responded to one email. I have several chat's open on different browsers, they will not respond to anything unless I fake a new enquiry, then they stop talking once they realised I have purchased. Complete radio silence from them since my order was placed. They still have not provided tracking.

They did however respond once on Saturday evening saying that their courier does not provide tracking numbers (blatant lies, all Australian couriers track what they are shipping via consignment notes) and Ozdesks told me during this one time response that they would contact the courier first thing Monday for shipping details. Well its now Wednesday, and I am not surprised to see I have no update. That is the only response that I have ever received from them.

I fear I have been scammed. Other users on Facebook have shared similar experiences on their ads, before the ads are taken down due to negative comments.

I have reached out to VISA to alert them of this, and I have contacted SHOP to help to stop using their platform for fraudulent transactions. This vendor has done nothing to make me think this isn't a scam, no tracking, lies, not responding to a multitude of follow ups, and no help.

Additionally, their website claims to have independent reviews. They have a script instantly removing any review (positive or negative). This is not how a truthful company operates.

And, their Facebook page has only 3 likes. Yet their fake reviews are 250+... Which also leads me to believe this is a popup scam designed to make a quick buck, then they will rebrand to something else.

After falling for this scam, I decided to purchase a stand up desk from Desky. The build quality is sensational, and customer service have been superb. Definitely quality products, and same day shipping as advertised. Give Desky look, I am VERY happy with my new purchase.
