Underwhelming for a fine dining setting
We were hoping for a special evening at Palácio Chiado, but it didn't quite deliver.
The black pork and the lamb were just okay, nothing memorable. The Elderflower/mezcal cocktail was the highlight of the night. Service was a bit of a letdown. Dishes often arrived late, and more than once we had to remind the staff of things we'd asked for. The loud pop music didn't help either. It made conversation difficult and didn't suit a fine dining atmosphere.
The setting is lovely and there's clearly potential, but with the prices and expectations that come with the place, the experience fell short. We probably wouldn't return.
