I used direct bank transfer instead of the e-wallets they suggested. Took almost two full days to reach my account, which felt long, but still within what they wrote on the page. Next time I’ll probably try one of the faster methods but at least I know they pay.
I wrote in broken English and they switched to my language after seeing my country. That was a nice surprise and made explaining my problem easier.
Exceptional clean, my stained silk dress came back looking brand new! I am absolutely chuffed. I will 100% be using this service again. Thank you!

Penelope has a reputation for being able to clean anything so I felt confident sending them a vintage Hermes scarf. It came back perfect. 4 stars because they were let down by the courier.

We used Penelope By Post in an attempt to restore my wife’s wedding dress. The dress hadn’t seen the light of day since it was worn nearly 20 years ago.
On inspection, it was clear that the dress needed a professional clean, so we contacted PBP.
The whole process is extremely simple… you visit their website, you select the type of service you require, you pay and then you book in a collection time.
You receive email updates as to which part of the process your item is currently undertaking.
Every care and attention is taken into account and we were called by a Penelope by Post representative to let us know that our item couldn’t be cleaned with traditional dry cleaning methods.
She talked us through the alternatives, and we agreed over the phone to proceed.
We cannot believe how amazing the item looked when it was returned by courier.
Not only that, but it was beautifully packaged and my wife had the biggest smile on her face when she removed the dress from the box.
The dress sparkles once again – it simply looks like new. I would highly recommend PBP’s services to anyone.

It was such a pleasure to be able to access a top quality cleaning service from Yorkshire. Throughout the process, the team at Penelope gave me the clear feeling that my clothing was important to them, and that cleaning it was a privilege, not a chore.
I particularly loved the the informative and environmentally friendly packaging, which was also luxurious and a real treat to open when it arrived
My jacket came back looking like new!
