Staff are mostly helpful, however I have had to return my Mazda for faults 9 times in 22 months. The last started in November when the plug in Hybrid system stopped charging. Months for a new part, then having to wait a further month for work to be done. They let me take home the vehicle without trying to charge it, and of course I could not. It took another month to get an appointment, and again it needs yet another part, earliest time before repair 12th May 2026.

The test drive was reasonably long, which gave us a good opportunity to get familiar with the car, and that was important to us. Overall, it was a very positive experience and we would definitely recommend Perrys Canterbury Mazda.

saw a new MG at preston on sale for £31, 540 as advertised on website. test drive ok, helpful , friendly knowledgable sales assistant. All well until he went to his manager for the quote. The price suddenly rose to £33930 plus extras for paint /RFL/ first reg so total of £35,288. Quoted poor part ex value, the lowest of all that I have had. two days later they phoned offering me another £200 for my part ex plus £1500 off price of the car - (which is the government grant for EV anyway!) Same car available at other dealers for £2500 less than initial price . Dont get ripped off at perrys go elsewhere.

Friendly and funny which helped build trust and never pushy like some salesmen are.
The whole process was easy and I left with a fantastic car even though it wasn’t a Vauxhall.

Wow, further to my earlier review about the dealings with Perrys, I have been disgusted to see their recent advisement of the car they sold to me
They sold me an Audi for £14,899 which was defective. I returned the car two months after purchase because of the defects and the issues with Perrys and was only paid £12,700 so I had lost £2000 in two months. I was told this was “best they could do” despite the car being defective after a short period of time having it. I was told they could only put the car up for sale at max £13,000. Lo and behold two weeks later the car is back on their website for £14,250. So in three months they sold the car to me for £14,899, took £2500 off me as deposit, “bought” it back at £12,700 and selling it again for £14,250.

Bought a car on 27 February from Perrys Worksop-Kia:Ford and we paid £34k.Driving back home we realised some steam was coming out from the exhaust, when we arrived home i looked to the exhaust and i found the exhaust was full with black deposits.I rang the dealer straight away and let them know what the car does,they said it is okay because car was sitting for a while.The next few days i was speaking with them and they was assuring me that it is okay.I have opened the bonnet and unscrewed the engine oil cap, the cap flew away. In my opinion its not supposed to be like that on a 10000 miles car.I rang them again and they said it is okay like that.After 500 miles the car went into limp mode and engine management light came on.I called the dealer and spoke with the manager and he said that the car is on warranty and there was nothing they could do and he said i had to sort everything by myself. Be aware of this dealer.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND

I was searching for many months for a Unique Ford Ranger. The “Whole Service Journey” involved in selling me the FORD RANGER WILDTRACK Lucid Red pickup with “Sports TONNEAU LID” by a Super Salesman JAMIE MOROZ who is simply Amazing & Out Of This World.
Jamie explained the Vehicle thoroughly on my 2 “in-person” visits to Chesterfield and future follow up messages.
I was super pleased with my purchase and am forever grateful. Thanks to Dave for driving to London-Surrey to deliver.
This has been the “Best Purchase of a Vehicle” ever by myself since I first started in 1987 (38+years ago). PERRYS & JAMIE MORZ are high recommended to everyone in the UK.

How can a dealership the size or Perrys not have reviews? The Carwow vehicle page shows zero reviews, so I took a stroll towards Trustpilot.
Found them! What concerns me here is the potential lack of transparency.
I had recently contacted Perrys via Carwow, and posed some questions re a particular vehicle, following a vehicle history check - I stated I'd prefer email response. Initially, I thought they had missed the query. However, after a few days a sales representative called me. So I explained why I requested email - (laryngitis) speaking was painful & irritating, but that didn't stop the person asking yet more questions.
The representative took my postcode and with confirmed address & a plan for a sales rep to contact me over email, the call ended. Since then - nothing.
A week later - still nothing.
Today, I can see the car is still up for sale.
So, What's keeping you Perrys?

Reserved a car with Perrys Dover branch on 27th March and then called to book a viewing and test drive after work the same day, spoke with a young man called Bobby Glanville who made the arrangements and i was all set to go when unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances i had to cancel at the last minute, fortunately i was able to make another booking with Bobby for the following day (Saturday) at 10AM without any fuss.
On arrival i was met by Bobby who got me a coffee, made me comfortable and answered any questions i had about the car, its history and the process and options i had to purchase the vehicle, we got on very well from the start as he was easy to talk with and very professional and courteous at all times, after a short time we took the car for a test drive and being everything i’d hoped it would be i made an offer which was accepted and purchased it the same day, i picked it up three days later and finished the paperwork on arrival, Bobby walked me through all the steps and then presented me with my new car, which had been freshly MOT’d and valeted and looked brand new, he made the whole car buying experience very easy and was a pleasure to deal with throughout, i would just like to add my personal thanks to Bobby for all his help and for making the purchase of my new car such a lovely experience.

We've been repeat customers with Perrys Mansfield for a long time and are mostly happy, especially with the Service Reception team led by Nicola.
Sales process on this occasion was smooth, Tia and Lewis were excellent, very fair offer for trade-in vehicle. During the test drive, engine management lights were on and vehicle was pulling badly to left. Both issues were apparently resolved during PDI, but engine lights came on again within 48 hours and steering issue had not been corrected. Engine light was apparently due to a fault code not being cleared correctly and the tracking was subsequently found to be significantly out and corrected.
Disappointed with standard of valet, spoke to one of the Managers, Mark, who agreed it was not up to standard and arranged for full re-valet which is due to be done this week.
This hasn't been the best post-sales experience of Perrys, but things are being sorted and overall it hasn't impacted on our opinion of the Dealership and we would return for the next vehicle and recommend Perrys as we have done previously.

After 15 years if excellent service, sales and back up I'd recommend this place any day to anyone. Polite and cheerful as ever, rece try I had my car stolen and the advice and support they gave was invaluable. Needless to say once id got sorted I bought my next car here- getting exactly what I wanted too. On top of all this the way the staff handled a very inconsiderate and rude person was exemplary. Having researched the market to find my next vehicle, I ended up using the Mansfield dealership which prices ‘cars to sell’ - and that’s about it.
Although part of the Perrys Group, there is no ‘interaction’ between dealerships (seemingly operating as individual profit centres) which means their needs prevail over that of the customer e.g. won’t move cars within the group to make easier access for the customer.
Negotiation doesn’t exist whether you want to part exchange or pay cash - the windscreen price is the price you pay (unless you want to be sold a finance package or the ‘usual’ extras of paint protection, wheel/tyre insurance, upholstery protection, etc., which will add a significant amount to the price).
I found that I had to ‘pull’ information and could not rely on a complete response to queries e.g. after several attempts to find the previous owner (email request as well as verbal) this was only revealed when I collected the vehicle - surprise: it had been a rental car!
Trade-in values differed and I was even told that I would be better going to WeBuyAnyCar (which I did and achieved £2k more).
I transferred the full purchase amount on Tuesday before collection on Saturday (no acknowledgement) and asked for the 4-day temporary insurance cover - only to find that this had not been arranged prior to collection. This meant doing paperwork on the spot, much to the annoyance of the salesman. This really showed during the brief handover where synchronising my ‘phone and setting satnav were the prime objectives - followed by “is that the time” and he was gone.
I was told that £10 fuel had been put in the vehicle (came out of the admin. fee) and that was it.
The car was well presented (still trying to fully remove the nicotine smell).
In summary: I bought a car at full asking price, paid fully in cash, travelled 120 mile round trip twice, second time with a driver as I had already sold my car (as suggested) and delivery charges were astonishing (another indicator that the dealership didn’t want to do it)…..and that’s it!
Truly caveat emptor.
Addendum: having just been invited by Perrys to add further comment - I collected the car on 28. March although I said I was willing to pay for it (in full) but would like to register/tax it from the 1. April (as I was effectively losing one month’s RFL) - not to be; Perrys wanted to include the sale in their March figures. Again, a dealer centric view rather than customer focused.
