Year on year the price has increased well above the cost of inflation. This year it was 15%. Never once made a claim. In 3 years it's gone from around £50 to £82. Feels like daylight robbery.

I've been a customer for several years & have cats ranging from 12 to 1 I am very happy with the service we have received & have always found them to be professional caring & fair

I’ve insured my two cats for over a decade with PetPlan. Fortunately so far they’ve not had a lot go wrong - but when it did, they paid out with no issues

However, they will gradually price you out as they get older. My premiums have doubled in the last 5 years despite them now imposing a 20% co-pay to “reduce premiums”.

They try to justify this on the basis of vet fees being expensive - however they don’t scale up the policy limit - so this feels very disingenuous.

It’s very fortunate they don’t have pre-existing conditions - other would I would be effectively locked in. So reluctantly had to switch whilst they were still healthy - the level of annual price hikes is unsustainable.

Beware, this is a SCAM INSURANCE, despite no claims they put unjust exclusions.

Don't admit to any incidents with other dogs.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Petplan has genuinely been great - I can’t fault them. Easy direct claim option with my vet (if over £500) and even manual claims are easy.

I’ve been with them for many years for my boy and although they are quite pricey, they are yet to fail me and my cat.

I have always been impressed with the simple and fuss free process of making a claim through PetPlan. When we first ‘adopted’ our adorable cat, PetPlan was recommended by her breeder and we were happy to continue the already set in place policy. I’m so glad we have our beautiful girl covered by them. Peace of mind is key and that’s exactly what PetPlan’s cover provides.

I’ve been with Petplan since we brought our dog home as a puppy four years ago, but this was the first time I’d ever needed to make a claim. I’ll be honest — I was expecting a long, complicated form, a bit of a headache, and a long wait for a decision.

Instead, the whole process was genuinely smooth from start to finish. The claim was easy to submit, I was kept updated throughout, and once it was approved the payment reached my account within a week. It was a real breath of fresh air and far better than I expected.

Quick and easy to claim
For my cat’s injury. All dealt with very quickly and Paid out within a week

The claims procedure was very easy and hassle free.I was kept informed of progress at every stage.Settlement of the claim was very prompt.

Unfortunately Betty had to be out to sleep 😞 but for 11 years petplan has looked after her very well and always paid out for her treatments!! I would definitely recommend petplan and everyone should get their pets insured 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I highly recommend Pet Plan they are extremely helpful and give a very quick response on any claims you submit. All correspondence is emailed to you and text messages are frequently sent on any updates regarding claims. My vets submit my claims and everything runs smoothly

The claiming form was easy to understand and fill out. The deadlines were clear and communication made the process transparent. I was able to know the status and expected date of completion which was met. The process is not cumbersome and conveys care for pets rather than distrust of the person making a claim.
