I first discovered Phillips Fish Works while researching “natural” aquariums, live foods, and microfauna habitats. His YouTube channel eventually led me to the storefront, and since then I’ve purchased several items. There are so many reasons I highly recommend them for anything from live foods to “green water.”
Shipping is always reasonable, and the safety of the animals and plants is clearly a priority. The packaging—especially the breathable bags—is genuinely clever, and everything has arrived in perfect condition every time. Customer service is top‑notch as well.
Less than a week after my most recent purchase, during the recent winter storm (Fern), we lost power for seven days in frigid temperatures. Most of my aquariums and plants didn’t survive. I reached out, explained the situation, and asked whether they might offer a discount code to help me rebuild. Instead, I received a reply email along with tracking information for a full replacement order.
What an incredible gesture.
