Food and accommodation excellent and spotless
Would recommend to anyone of any age I am 65 and did not feel left out or out of place once

I went to Tanzania with PMGY. They have good pre departure support with a volunteer handbook which gave the best information on things to pack, look forward to and an overall heads up. The in country support was phenomenal, it was really organised and if i wasn’t feeling well the support was amazing. in terms of ensuring i get the care i need! I worked for the medical programme and this involved going to the hospital and observing/ taking part in some things they wanted us to do. Advice i could give to future volunteers is to enjoy yourself and just know the support is there if you ask for it!

I spent 3 weeks with PMGY Vietnam and I really enjoyed it. All of the local team were so kind and welcoming. I initially started doing the teaching programme but switched to childcare - I loved it. I was put with children age 4 - 6. Each day, we would teach them English and play with them.
The accommodation and meals were very nice and I met some lovely people. During the weekends we were free to travel together and in the evenings, we could explore Hanoi.
Both the local and international PMGY team were always happy to answer any questions and made sure we had everything we needed. I also thought that the pre-departure support and handbook were very helpful.
After the 3 weeks, I spent 1 month traveling Vietnam solo (first time solo travelling) and the programme was a great way to get to know the country. By the end of my time volunteering, I was comfortable using public transport, understood the currency and had lots of advice on where to travel. I had also made friends on the programme that I met up with during my trip.
Overall, this was an amazing experience that I would really recommend to everyone!

I had the opportunity to travel for several weeks with Plan My Gap Year, who accompanied me throughout, and I must say that I am extremely satisfied.
Their support is provided from beginning to end, remaining available for any problems or needs.

Wonderful experience, had a lot of fun throughout all of it. Team was very supportive before leaving to ensure all my questions were answered. Within country local staff were excellent and also answered all questions promptly. Volunteer house was really fun, clean and open environment. Host families were all lovely and incredibly nice, good food as well. My program was a great mix of countries and volunteering while allowing for a lot of Spanish speaking and listening practice. Really enjoyed English teaching volunteer program in Ecuador. Advice for future participants is just to be super friendly and open to any connections and be open minded and willing to speak spanish even if you're not super good at it.

I did the childcare and teaching programme in Arusha, Tanzania for 6 weeks. Had a great experience overall and found 6 weeks to be the perfect length of time to go as allowed time for a weekend safari and trip to Zanzibar while I was there. Great support was given via email before arrival, helped to arrange flights and provide reassurance surrounding different aspects. The PMGY team at the house were so lovely and supportive, making the accommodation a great place to stay. The volunteering was a wonderful experience and will be missed!

Volunteering with PMGY in Sri Lanka was a lot of fun! It was a really good experience with a lot of nice and helpful people. The Staff Members are really lovely and even before getting there, they‘re here for you to answer any question you might have. They organized a pick-up and offered help for anything else you could need. During my stay there I met amazing people which made the projects even better. You get to work in the morning and have the afternoon free to do whatever you please. They offer nice activities too! The projects themselves were a lot of fun too. The turtle project is nice if you like a calm and rather relaxing project. You get to feed the turtles and even release them if you‘re lucky. The dog project was amazing aswell, the little puppies are the cutest. It‘s a bit exhausting with the heat and all, but it‘s manageable. The accomodation was nice, with enough space to hang out and chill. Sometimes you just have to wait quiet some time for a shower though. Piece of advice: Go for a few weeks and try different projects! Try to see as much as you can and join the weekend trips.

The program and the locals were amazing. A very unique experience!

Meine Volunteer Zeit war wirklich großartig! Ich habe so viele neue nette Leute kennen gelernt und wir hatten wirklich eine so tolle Zeit! Ich kann es jedem nur empfehlen, weil es wirklich eine Zeit war die ich nie vergessen werde.
Das einzige was ich etwas schade fand, dass ich nicht das Gefühl hatte etwas zu bewirken. Ob wir volunteers jetzt dort waren oder nicht hat quasi keinen unterschied gemacht.
Aber ich habe trotzdem so viel über andere Kulturen gelernt und habe Erfahrungen machen dürfen du mir keiner mehr nehmen kann :)

I loved my experience at Plan My Gap Year Bali - Indonesia. The family that we stayed with was lovely, so kind and nice. The kids was lovely working with and it was such an experience.

A was a volunteer in Tanzania for three weeks and I had the best time! The coordinators at pmgy Tanzania were amazing. They help you with everything from hospital visits to tips about the city. I really recommend it!

The plan my gap year Real Nepal experience truely changed my life and in just the 4 weeks I felt myself grow as a person. Asim and Namrata were so welcoming and really made you feel at home. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Yubaraj! He really took us on a great adventure showinging us the real side of Nepal and always answered any questions I had. A highlight of the trip was definitely the volunteering segment. It was a great honour to spend two weeks living in the monastery and I hope we all had an impact on the Kids. I hope to have more adventures with PMGY

Attending the Turtle project in Sri Lanka was truly an unforgettable experience. The support prior to departure honestly made our trip getting there much simpler especially going as a group of friends, and the support from beginning to the end in London house through orientation, house meetings and daily activities made day-to-day living easy and enjoyable.
The hands on experience in both feeding the turtles as well as maintaining their enclosures was honestly amazing, especially then getting to experience the joy of watching both babies and adults get released on the local beaches. The additional beach cleanings were also very fruitful, being able to further understand the importance of this aspect in sea turtle conservation as well as learning about microplastics.
London house also provided a great variety of weekly activities that allowed us to build a great social life and make some amazing new friends, which i feel is important for any volunteer as team work and communication is highly important during projects.
Overall, participating in the turtle project was one of the best ever experiences in life and would highly recommend for anyone want to make a change and aid in turtle conservation.

I absolutely LOVED my time in Sri Lanka with PMGY.

The house is amazing and everyone who works there makes you feel right at home from day one. London house really is just one big family and I loved that so much; it meant I never felt homesick or nervous, because there were always so many lovely people around.

The projects were incredible, particularly the Monk teaching. It was such a rewarding experience that will live with me forever. I particularly enjoyed the independent aspecting of teaching, everything was left down to you, which taught me so much, in terms of planning and teaching methods.

The accommodation was great, the rooms were set up nicely in order to make friends and the rooms were always clean. Food was great too, a varied selection each night, allowing a real flavour of Sri Lankan cuisine.

PMGY provided me a once in a life time experience, giving me so many life long friends and I’ll forever be thankful and grateful for the opportunity to be apart of such an amazing community in Sri Lanka.

I loved my experience with Plan My Gap Year in Sri Lanka. I did the 4 week real Sri Lanka experience where a group of us got to travel around Sri Lanka and become a much closer group of friends. Our tour guide Ishan was so so kind and made the experience unforgettable. The volunteer part of my stay was so memorable as I got to take part in multiple options such as the turtle volunteering, childcare and teaching. Everyone working at the London house was so friendly and caring, in particular Melissa, Ash and Samadhi who were so helpful during my experience. I can't recommend PMGY Sri Lanka enough and I'd love to go back one day!

I had an amazing experience at PMGY Sri Lanka, as they were always available to answer all of my questions, even before my arrival, and I therefore felt really safe! The program is really fun and I got to learn a lot and experience things I would’ve never been able to otherwise, such as the turtle release. The accommodation and food is great too

Turtle conservation was a fun experience, lovely people and plenty of assistance when needed

Experience was great overall met some amazing people that I’m sure will be friends for life. Accommodation and food was basic but I expected that for the price, no major issues with that. Only thing I could slightly fault was the location of the volenteer house as no where was walkable and thus had to spend a lot on transport. The childcare project was good and can’t fault it
