We just had a lovely week at Porto Platanias in Crete, with our 4-year-old son. The hotel was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly. It's right next to the beach and just a short walk from plenty of nice restaurants and places to eat. The hotel had many pools, and one of them was heated, which was perfect for our son at this time of year. Special thanks to Teddy and the team for making our stay so great!

Polite and efficient welcome to hotel late at night. Third time we have stayed and the general standard of cleanliness, food and service has always been 5 star. However the gentleman who runs the Hermes bar deserves 6 stars - always offering a fabulous service.

Our recent stay at this so-called "5-star" hotel was incredibly disappointing, particularly because we were under the impression that we had booked an all-inclusive package. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short of expectations.

Despite paying for what was advertised as an all-inclusive experience, we discovered that most of the restaurants and bars on the property required an additional fee. This left us with very limited options, and the one bar included in our package was so severely understaffed that it took nearly 30 minutes just to get a drink. When we finally received our drinks, they were almost entirely ice with only a small amount of actual ingredients, making for a watered-down and unsatisfactory experience.

To make matters worse, even the basics like getting a chair at the beach came with an extra charge, which seems absurd for a supposedly all-inclusive resort.

The overall lack of transparency and the subpar service made our stay frustrating and far from relaxing. We expected much more from a "5-star" hotel, but this experience left us feeling deceived and let down. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere if you're seeking a true all-inclusive vacation. This place simply doesn't deliver on its promises.
