I made a formal complaint
I gave one star as it was not possible to give zero.
Following a car MOT failure I was quoted way over the top for remediation work. I have submitted a formal complaint.

It was the first time I'd used Protyre. I booked an MOT and services. I was very pleased with the service and value for money. I will use again for the other vehicles in my household.

We take all 4 cars in our family here. Never had a problem. They are refreshingly honest which is rare these days. Thanks again and yes I did fail the MOT but with their help (no charge for the help) it passed 3 days later. Above and beyond.

Car failed mot
Car failed mot, on oil leak, and control arm bushes, when I looked online for prices the top estimate was £500 to £600.
They quoted me over£1100. Anyway took my car for an independent quote, amazed to find it passed it's mot and that what protyre had failed it on wasn't failures. Crooks.

Fitting tyres isn’t rocket science
Fitting tyres isn’t rocket science. I turned up for my appointment and went back half hour later to find they hadn’t even started on my tyres.
I then get told “sorry we are busy we double booked.”
They then did my tyres but they acted like I was putting them out…. had they forgotten that I was actually paying them!

MOT/ Service light
dropped car off, failed MOT explained why was able to get it fixed and retested, while it was there the service light came on and they sorted that at no extra cost (it had been serviced the month prior by the same garage)

The person taking telephone calls answered my questions and was very helpful. I had two tyres fitted and the team were excellent. The price for the two tyres was also very competitive. I can recommend Protyre Autocare and will use them again
