Awful. Mis lead me with information regarding the window film on the phone.
After it had been fitted, the weather got hotter the film lead to thermal fractures in my windows because of the heat.
When i reported this to them, they didn't help in any way shape or form and fobbed me off with T&Cs. Im taking this further but i want people to be aware of how bad this company is.
Disgusting.

We take glass compatibility very seriously. Before purchasing the SRF-20 film, customers are presented with a clear warning on the product page advising them to click "Read More" to check glass compatibility before ordering. This guidance explains which types of glazing the film is suitable for and which it should not be applied to.
Following your enquiry, you acknowledged by email that you had missed this compatibility information when placing your order.
We also wish to clarify that we did not recommend this product to you over the telephone. Our policy is not to recommend solar control films by phone because we cannot verify a customer's glazing specification remotely. Instead, we direct customers to the compatibility guidance on the product page so they can determine whether a product is suitable for their particular glass.
Your first contact with us regarding your windows was after the film had already been installed. As we had no opportunity to assess your glazing beforehand, we could not advise on the suitability of the product for your installation.
In over 23 years of trading, we have supplied window films to many thousands of customers. Reports of thermal glass fracture are exceptionally rare, and we are not aware of any similar reports in our Trustpilot or Google reviews.
We appreciate that this has been a frustrating experience. However, where a product has been applied to glazing that is incompatible with the published guidance, we are unable to accept liability. We remain committed to providing clear pre-purchase information so customers can select the correct film for their type of glazing.
Completely unresponsive
I placed an order in error. I emailed to say please don’t despatch - three days later it was dispatched anyway. So I emailed again to say how do I return the item and ten days later have had no response. Which perhaps isn’t a surprise as the help desk didn’t respond to an earlier query.

Having investigated this matter, we found that your cancellation request and subsequent return enquiry were unfortunately filtered into our junk mailbox, which is why they were not seen or responded to in time. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this caused.

If your order has still not been resolved, please contact us again quoting your order number and we will deal with the matter as a priority.
Missing part of order
After my delivery approx 1130am. It was noted part of it was missing, immediatly tried ringing the company many times only to hear a message tell you to email them.
Did this and filled in the contact us page snd emailed their altwrnative emaol address that was Friday, todsy is Monday pm I have had no emails and no phone calls, I had arranged a mobile scaffold for Tuesday to carry out the work, part of my order is stll missing, IF they had contacted me to sort out this the items could have been here to enable work to proceed.communication from this company is abismal.

I have checked my spam today and several times over Monday and there is no messages from yourselves. I did ask you to call me and provided a contact number you did not.
The missing Items did arrive today thank you, however the first I knew about it was from the carrier. Your service was fast, thankyou and I do accept things go wrong which you put right very promptly, but please answer the phone, return calls and answer emails and keep customers informed.

When we received your email on Friday, we replied to apologise for the missing tools, which were packaged separately from the window film in your order. By that point, our courier collection had already taken place, and as we're closed over the weekend, the earliest we could dispatch the missing items was Monday. We upgraded the shipment with DX, and the tools were delivered on Tuesday.
We're sorry if you didn't see our reply. Could you please check your junk or spam folder, as it's possible our email was filtered there?
We understand that missing items can be frustrating, particularly when they delay a job, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.

One way mirror window film did not work…
One way mirror window film did not work as advertised. Installed on front window, people in the house were still perfectly visible from the street (3 metres away) when outdoors was bright sunshine. Vastly different to the mirror finish with it being light both inside and outside on the product image

Unfortunately, I can't locate an order under the name you've used in your review, so I'm unable to confirm which reflective film was purchased. Could you please provide your order number, postcode, or the name the order was placed under so I can investigate further?
Reflective and one-way mirror films work by reflecting the brighter side. During daylight, when it is brighter outside than inside, they provide privacy while still allowing a view out. However, the level of privacy varies between film grades, the lighting conditions, and the viewing angle.
Once I can identify the film purchased, I'll be happy to review your installation and advise whether the performance is normal or if there may be another issue affecting the result.

Don't bother. Waste of money.
I purchased Purlfrost's Metasol Polycarbonate Film for my conservatory after seeing the product advertised as a solution for excessive heat, glare and brightness. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.
The biggest issue is the installation process. Despite taking my time and carefully following the instructions, it was virtually impossible to achieve a wrinkle-free and bubble-free finish. The material itself seems poorly suited to DIY installation on large polycarbonate panels. While positioning the film, it feels too heavy and cumbersome to align accurately. However, once the backing is removed, it suddenly becomes so lightweight and difficult to control that creases, folds and trapped air become almost unavoidable. What should have been a straightforward weekend project turned into an incredibly time-consuming and frustrating exercise.
Even after spending hours installing the film, the end result was underwhelming. The product has made little to no noticeable difference to the comfort of my conservatory. The room remains just as hot on sunny days and still suffers from excessive brightness and glare. Given the marketing emphasis on improving comfort and reducing solar gain, I expected a far more significant improvement.
Another disappointment is the appearance of the film itself. The website imagery suggests a much more frosted, diffused finish than the product actually delivers. In reality, the film is far less frosted than advertised and does not provide the softened light effect shown in the promotional photographs. The finished look falls well short of expectations.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that Purlfrost promotes its films as being simple and easy to install, with DIY-friendly application guides and videos. My experience was the complete opposite. The installation was difficult, the performance benefits have been negligible, and the appearance does not match the impression created by the product photography.
Overall, I cannot recommend Metasol Polycarbonate Film based on my experience. It was expensive, labour-intensive to install, failed to noticeably improve the temperature or brightness in my conservatory, and did not deliver the frosted appearance that influenced my purchase decision.

We are particularly concerned by your comments regarding both the appearance of the finished installation and the lack of any noticeable reduction in brightness, glare or heat. Metasol is a dark grey solar-control film specifically designed for polycarbonate conservatory roofs, and the results you have described are not typical of the feedback we normally receive for this product.
Installation of large conservatory roof panels can be challenging, especially on larger sections, and our fitting guidance recommends a two-person installation where possible. However, some of the issues you've mentioned regarding the film's appearance and performance would lead us to believe it would be worthwhile reviewing the installation and confirming that the correct product was supplied and installed as intended.
We would welcome the opportunity to investigate this further. If you could contact our customer service team with your order details and some photographs of the installed film, we would be happy to review the installation and assist in any way we can.

Transparent patterned window film.
Reluctant to buy a film for my French doors as they are lovely to look out of. But I have a dog that barks at squirrels and birds in the trees at the bottom of my garden when indoors... and she will not stop barking. Which led to curtains being drawn all the time. I already have frosted film from you for my front windows and works amazingly. So I measured up and opted for a transparent pattern which lets in light and I can still see the garden. Very quick delivery and took me 10 minutes to do it and I'm well chuffed with the result. Thank you Sharon 😊

The film was fitted quite easily
The film was fitted quite easily and it really cuts down the UV. The room is so much cooler now during hot, sunny weather.
