I recently purchased a car from this garage and had a genuinely excellent experience from start to finish. The team was friendly, knowledgeable, and never made me feel pressured at any point, which made the whole process much more comfortable.
They took the time to understand what I was looking for and helped me find a car that perfectly matched my needs and budget. The vehicle itself was in great condition, exactly as described, and clearly well-prepared before collection.
What stood out most was their honesty and transparency. All my questions were answered clearly, and they made sure I was fully confident before making a decision. The paperwork was handled efficiently, and everything was explained in a straightforward way.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this garage to anyone looking for a reliable car and excellent customer service. I wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future.
Bought a vw troc cars a piece of **** . Massive crack on window huge oil leak in first week. Nothing but problems and always getting told is my fault. Unprofessional disrespectful people that work here also no help what so ever. My fault for buying the car didn’t expect any problems from a brand new car that I have been charged 15k for. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.
Sold me a van, with clutch and DPF issues. Refused to reply to my requests for a refund or atleast repair. Went to citizens advice, who helped me through a process, also reported to trading standards, then CAB gave me a number for a helpline to small claims court, who told me I’d win the case, but this company were listed as having no assets, so bailiffs would not be able to retrieve my money. Has cost me £3000 for a clutch, slave cylinder, flywheel and new DPF, absolutely disgusting company.
Car arrived with a steering fault immediately on delivery, yet the dealer kept delaying repairs. They also sold me an extended warranty but then denied covering the immediate fault — making the warranty feel like a complete scam. I’ve had to stop using the car entirely while waiting for them to do the right thing. When I was requesting to expedite repair to their employee, overheard the owner using abusive language about me.
Strongly advise others to stay away from this dealer.
They nearly killed me brought a van off of them 2 weeks ago and within 10 days all the breaks failed not mentioned on monthly did a4 service that left an oil leak on customers drive that i had to pay to be fixed they do not answer the phone and when they do language barriers and an absolute don't care attitude save yourself a hassle bypass this company they are conmen
I would absolutely think twice about buying or financing a car through this dealership. I financed a car from them 6 months ago. A month after delivery the issues started which means the car had pre existing issues, car was delivered with worn tyre, bent crashbar, no service history and no way to update service history not even online, navigation system not working and to top it all off the dpf has never been changed it seems and the dealership wants the vehicle but don’t want to provide transportation and plus if I say no to the car being picked up I get a £300 fine. Absolutely disgusting behaviour uncalled for and just generally unacceptable Frustrating experience I’ve had with this company.
In April bought a pickup truck from R8. We collected it from a garage in Luton, which was neither of their listed addresses.
In July EM light came on. We contacted them but they ignored us beyond the statutory 7 days notice period. Only after multiple calls to Ali Jeff, who appeared to be a salesman, he gave me an email aftersalescare@r8 motors.co.uk.
R8 in Bradford is location for this email. They provide no phone number and no name. After a day they acknowledged our complaint and asked us to pay for diagnostic test. We refused as the CRA 2015 states it is vendor's responsibility to pay for this. They refused to pay. They then tried to say the truck was a commercial vehicle and exempt from CR Act, which was untrue. The vehicle is for private use only. After they refused to pay for diagnostic test, or to pay for the vehicle to be returned to them, I have demanded a refund. At this point they have gone silent. I am taking them to small claims court now. Do not buy anything from this company. They are highly suspicious.
Well to add to my previous review, R8 continue to avoid making contact.They have said (over the phone) they will collect van the next day and start repairs as the quote we sent them was deemed too expensive, but do we trust them NO!
DVLA have no record of them sending off the part of the logbook that they tore off so we have no proof the van is ours. That's another £25 for a logbook to add to the £913 on repairs. I have been in contact with CAB and Trading Standards at this point. To get R8 to answer the phone you have to call on different numbers as they block you. I also wrote a review on their site that they took down and have now blocked us from accessing as they control it.
I have now asked if they are part of an ADR scheme and for a copy of their internal complaints procedure, they now have 7 days to provide this before we go to the next step of getting repairs done ourselves and taking them to court.
Please save your money and d buy from decent people, there are certainly not any at R8 Motor group
