I tried to shop in store at Sydney CBD, support bricks and mortar retail, plus opportunity to see products, try them on, gain advice etc.
One staff member stuck behind a counter. No engagement. No advice. Essentially no service. No reason to stay.
Sadly it has zero advantage over online Amazon. Rebel completely miss out on their possible differentiators. If you are not going to staff your stores and serve you customers then what is the point?
Similar to Myers, with few exceptions, it’s turned into a serve yourself society.

Rebel MacArthur square, you are terrible!!! I spent time sorting out football boots for a underprivileged child in PNG with salesman, upon deciding on type, I said we needed size US 9 the sales man grabbed the box stating it was correct size even pulled boot out and looked then handed me the box which was a 9 but boots were 7.5. I traveled to PNG only to disappoint a kid with wrong size. In hindsight I should have double checked but in my rush I took the salesman at a professional standard. Very disappointed rebel. Your staff need to take some pride and put a bit more effort into confirming what’s in the box is the size on the box. No way I can return as I won’t be back to Sydney again.
Poor systems lead to a poor customer experience.
Dealing with the online team gives you the impression you are dealing with a bunch of monkeys bashing a keyboard. What a terrible and frustrating experience. Their logistic system is poor and makes the online experience painful.
I ordered items over a month ago
I ordered items over a month ago. The items were not sent out as they couldnt find stock. I had to chase them up about it as they could not care less. I have been chasing a refund with them for over a month. I spend at least 2 hours a week on hold and the finance team have not been able to issue a refund as they must be so uncable of doing anything. I cannot believe how bad their customer service is. I have never ever had this bad service with any other company. I will never buy anything online again through rebel. If I could give no stars I would.

Unfortunately I had a poor experience at this rebel store, wich puts in doubt of the quality and originality of the shoes/boots they sell. I came in at 10am, right when they opened the store. I requested my size in a pair of boots that I liked and it took them around 20 minutes to return with my desired size, wich, by the way, were poorly stitched and did not look as nice as the pair on display. I then tried another pair of boots and requested them on my size; they arrived more promptly with the boots thid time but the had a big stain on them. I finally decided to buy the 1st pair I've tried and when I was going to pay for them at the counter, they said that they could not sell them to me because they were not yet released. I left the store empty handed after spending 1 hour with them and unable to give me a solution. Very poorly managed and unable to sell a product on display. No compensation of any kind was given either and they let us go without writting our phone number anywhere for a later more formal apology. For all these reasons you receive a 1 star review. What a waste of time and transport money.

How are still in business?
RS Macarthur square. Went in to buy a pair trainers, the "salesman" studiously ignored me and made himself scarce. I walked out, they lost a $200 dollar sale.
Unfulfilled online order
I ordered a mini nfl ball that was in stock. After selecting and paying for express shipping on the product, it never arrived.
After chasing them up to see where the product was, they explained that it was a mistake on their part, as they had no express shipping to me. So they just didn’t send the product at all and waited for me to inquire after waiting for well past the time frames.
I received an order confirmation and still Rebel didn’t process the order due to an internal issue.
The order still hasn’t been sent and they decided not to send it and refund me the money, however they only refunded the money paid via credit card and not the points spent for partial pay from my loyalty card.
I’m out of pocket $9.95 and have no product 10 days later, yet the product is still in stock.
Why not look after your loyal customers?
No basketball hoop, no communication, still no word a month later....
This experience mirrors almost exactly what another customer has described below.
We ordered in early December based on a guaranteed pre Christmas delivery. Since then there has been no proactive communication, no response to follow up enquiries, and now we are well into January with no basketball system delivered and no clarity on timing.
What makes this worse is that Rebel requested feedback, then blocked my original review when it was posted. The review was factual, honest, and not abusive. Blocking genuine customer feedback rather than addressing the issue is highly intransparent and unprofessional.
At this price point, customers expect basic communication and accountability. Delays can happen, but silence and suppression of reviews is unacceptable.
Very disappointing experience overall.
Don’t trust Rebel delivery and installation
Rebel sport can improve their customer service and stand by what they advertise.
I purchased a basketball hoop for my son’s Xmas present before the Xmas delivery cut off date and after some back and forth on a daily basis until today the 23rd December they have said it won’t arrive until the new year.
A refund wouldn’t be back in my account quick enough to go get one elsewhere, it cost $2000 so it’s not a good time of year to be $4000 down until the other $2000 can be refunded. I get told every day the warehouse will get back to me with a confirmed delivery date and time, I wait an hour on hold each time because I’m sure they’re stuffing someone else around.
Rebel should’ve have anticipated the busy nature of their business at this time of year and given themselves a longer window for a delivery cut off date. So now we have to print off a picture for our son to show him what he will be getting.
You’re an absolute disgrace Rebel Sport.
Slow but did get assistance
Delay in responding to my online inquire but be patience as in my case they did respond and gave me a full refund. Give them as much information as possible (Rebel's order number and in my case the tracking number of the parcel Aramex lost)
Grossly misleading and extremely unethical
I purchased an (expensive) item from Rebel Sport online for a birthday gift for my son. Delivery says 3-6 business days. After 8 days I still hadn't received it so I checked the tracking details that were sent. The courier website says the tracking number can't be found. So I then contacted Rebel Sport who checked and confirmed that the tracking number was wrong. They said it was coming from overseas (news to me) and that I should just wait to see if it turns up. I requested that they urgently ship another item to arrive before my son's birthday but Rebel Sport would not agree. Their website is grossly misleading, and their conduct is extremely unethical. And they had the nerve to refer to it as an "inconvenience" and claim there was nothing more they could do despite me repeatedly suggesting the solution.
No Order Received and No Customer Service
Ordered a Home gym from Rebel 2 weeks ago as Rebel state they can deliver in 2-3 days. I have still not received my Order. Rebel will not cancel the order and repay the money. Will strongly advise People not to use Rebels Web shop.

I visited Rebel Sport Parramatta on Saturday to buy some Father’s Day gifts for my husband. The store was quite busy, and while I was searching for sizes, a lovely staff member (whose name I didn’t catch) went out of her way to help me — much appreciated!
There were quite a few items on the wrong hangers, which made size checking difficult, but thankfully Sahil, one of the staff, was incredibly helpful and professional. He assisted us with patience and a great attitude — amazing service!
Unfortunately, my experience at the checkout wasn’t as positive. I asked the cashier (Zainab) if she could tell me the prices as she scanned, since I had a budget in mind. Her response was rude and dismissive: "Didn’t you check the prices while shopping? What’s your budget?" Her tone made me feel very uncomfortable, and I considered walking out. She then carelessly threw the items into the bag. It really left a bad impression.
Later, I realized I had the wrong size pants and went back in. Luckily, Sahil was there again and made the exchange process smooth and easy. Even on Father’s Day morning, when I called to arrange another exchange, Sahil answered the phone and handled everything professionally. My husband was able to go in and complete the exchange with no issues.
I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to highlight the exceptional service from Sahil — thank you for going above and beyond! While one staff member made my experience disappointing, Sahil truly saved the day. Keep up the great work!
My homegym is more than 1 week delayed…
My homegym is more than 1 week delayed and no one know where it is. I can not delete my order as a order investigation is going on. So I am traped and have a lot of money out
misleading signage= unhappy checkout and manager who escalated the problem
First visit to Everton Park store this afternoon. Poor signage and misleading conversation on the floor led us to believe one whole rack was marked as 'Buy One get Second Half Price' (Ella and Voo girlswear). this was disputed at checkout as only related to fleece. I checked later at home and the signage should have read same as website - Buy one Get Second Half Price on Fleece. worst part was manager on duty who rocked up to the counter to support the cashier and verballed me because he only heard half of what i said. He said i had threatened to be abusive - no- the opposite.i replied " i said to the cashier that i would stop speaking to avoid being accused of being abusive". He then said if i went on he would call the police. He then belittled me behind my back as i walked out of the store " We'll have a great day now (that you're gone).' a comment that everyone at the bank of checkouts would have witnessed other customers and staff. Really poor management training here.
He did not come up and said "hello i am the store manager Bob, i heard there's been a problem with signage- can you show me where that is and explain it to me." thereby- drawing me away from the counter and allowing the customer to believe you actually want to solve misunderstandings therby de-escalating the whole thing. instead i get snide playground abuse. Wont go back to Rebel. Oh and the item we went there for was $10 cheaper online. this happened today 17aug 26. the review needs me to back date it

Went to Rebelsports at Domain Townsville this Saturday to buy a new pair of shoes. The young man “serving” was unfriendly and was more interested in serving female customers. When I asked standard questions about fit, grunt answers were given. It was evident that this man had received little customer service training.
I decided not to reward this incompetence with a sale, and instead bought the $200 shoes from Intersport.

Was keen as to grab some new gear from Rebel Sport, but it was a bit of a letdown. Not much range in the sizes I needed, and a lot of the good stuff was either out of stock or way overpriced – definitely not great value this time around. Tried to ask a staff member for a hand but they didn’t seem too fussed, just pointed and walked off.
Rude way of dealing with client time wasting
Try to buy soccer Nike shoes from rebel cross road on sale 249 down from 339 size is not there, they find one in Miranda shop went there the Alice !!manager!!! said might be mistake without even say sorry can’t call the store it’s 6pm I found her very rude.. people unprofessional wasting our time!!! Stop buying from them best way to penalize them !!!!
They took my money. I never got my shoes.
I ordered two pairs of runners on 18 June. The prices look like they were AUD instead it was US dollars., this was never mentioned on the website.
I received one email when I placed the order, with a tracking device. When I click on the tracking device to see my order status, it comes up with SHOP CLOSED!
I have emailed them again and no response.
I think I’ve been scammed.
Buyers Beware off buying from this company that advertised on Facebook marketplace.
