I can't thank Rickshaw Travel enough for organising and making my solo trip to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia backpacking such a huge success. It was great talking to an Agent with experience in the areas travelled and any queries or questions I had were met with total professionalism and knowledge. The local Agents they use are equally as good, always providing a smile along the way.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Rickshaw and am possibly looking to use their services again in the very near future.

We have just returned from a month's holiday in Chile, Argentina and ending at Iguazu Falls. Our bucket list holiday was fantastic. Excellently organised by Ceri and the Rickshaw team in the UK and by Shirley and her South American tour operators whilst on holiday.
Everything worked just like the itinerary said it would! Rickshaw guided us into creating a holiday that was just what we wanted. They listened to our needs and requests; made suggestions from personal knowledge and experience on what we could see and do; was always aware of our budget and made it clear in their pricing; answered all our questions and gave us reassurance at every step in the booking/planning process. They booked everything we needed. We so enjoyed having the freedom to have a holiday designed for us and not have to follow a set tour. Rickshaws’ small packages of itineraries work really well and enable you to have a bespoke holiday. We had a range of hotels, all very clean and in good locations. All pick up’s were on time even the one’s at 4.00 and 5am!! The guides on the excursions spoke excellent English and were very informative and supportive. Travelling with Rickshaw gives you the independence to explore on your own, with small groups when you want to, but the knowledge that you are being very well looked after.

We had a look at Rickshaw Travel’s website (via a friends recommendation) to plan our holiday to Mexico. The site provided a number of short tourist excursions to recommended sites and locations.
Hannah was assigned to us as their Mexico expert. We mentioned a couple of excursions and our budget.
Hannah planned our flights, accomodation and transfers. We stayed in Playa del Carmen to unwind from the long flight, then a coach to our boutique hotel in Mérida, with its amazing architecture and history. (and to co-incide with the Day of the Dead)
We then picked up our transfer to the accommodation adjacent to Chitzen Itzá. We were given great advice to visit the site early (8:00am) to avoid the crowds and the heat.
Our transfer collected us and took us to Chiquila, where we took the ferry to Holbox. Amazing beaches, birds, bars and restaurants plus very few vehicles on sandy roads. A boat trip to the 3 isles was provided which took us to Isla Pajeros where we admired protected birds in their natural habitat. We were also taken to Isla Pasion where we saw pink flamingos!!
Another private transfer back to Playa del Carmen for the ferry to Cozumel for the last 6 days. The ecological park where Laguna Chunchaca containing crocodiles near the Faro Celarain lighthouse is a must. A boat trip to El Cielo to snorkel in turquoise waters, swim with rays and turtles was also provided.
Finally a private transfer back to Cancun airport completed our memorable holiday.
Solana Tours were the brilliant local travel partners who provided a welcome meeting, a local SIM card, 24/7 WhatsApp support (which was invaluable) and the local transfers.
All the transfers and accommodations provided were great!!

Had the most fantastic experience with Rickshaw!
From the initial phone call, Ella was informative, helpful and patient changing our itinerary many times until it was the perfect fit! Extra thanks for the encouragement to include mount Bromo when I had a slight wobble! It was one of the highlights!
The travel was seamless and possibly the best trip we’ve ever had despite travelling independently through Asia on snd off since 1991

Good on the phone support. Informative with a good knowledge of the people, local places of interest and a variety of places stay.

Rickshaw listened to what we wanted to see then designed an itinerary for us. We did make some changes and Rickshaw were very helpful. We were given a contact in the country we were visiting in case we needed it. They organised tours and transport for us . Would recommend 👌

28 days, 6 flights, 1 ferry, a 6 day car journey as well as numerous transfers and trips.
An amazing mix of Cities, Volcanoes, Temples, Rice Fields, Coffee & Spice Plantations, Batik, Silver Jewellery, Wood Carving and many more.
All organised and arranged perfectly by Ella despite us requesting changes to flights , hotels and activities along the way.
Ella’s knowledge, experience and enthusiasm helped us to plan and enjoy yet another superb Rickshaw Travel Holiday.

From the idea stage , through to planning , adding to our plans , booking flights , visitor visas, transfers , excursions, Rickshaw travel had us covered. As an anxious traveler I decided to use a company for our holiday which was in memory of our late parents. Everything went to plan. Questions ..and I had a lot ....we're answered. Transfers were on time / early. I would highly recommend

Ceri spent a lot of time back and forth to create the perfect trip to Brazil & Argentina and had it done within a week. Really looking forward to the trip.

Our Tanzania Travel Specialist, Miles Page, was excellent in that he knew what he was talking about and had clearly been to the places we were interested in. This may come as a surprise, but the "African Specialists" we talked to at other operators had very little knowledge of the places we wanted to go to and clearly had not been there themselves. Another good point was that Rickshaw travel provided flexibility. Adding on days was not a problem, and leaving us to our own devices at the second stage of our tour (the Zanzibar stage) was also not a problem.

Itinery matched what happened and all pick ups and trips were well organised.
Some hotel accomodation was very average but I had a budget so maybe limited where I stayed. As a solo traveller Rosendale on Robson was not a very nice area to walk around as a solo traveller and this should be considered for solo bookings in the future. There are many nicer areas and hotels in Vancouver. Overall my trip was great Thanks Ella

100% recommend Rickshaw. We’ve just returned from a fantastic trip to Indonesia - Bali, Flores and the Gillis- built from Rickshaw’s bite sized trips. Miles was great from the first contact - expert advice, super responsive and no pressure. He also added my daughter the the booking at a much later date with no issues at all. All the logistics worked perfectly which is no mean feat given we crammed a lot into a short space of time. Massive thanks too to Rickshaw’s local agents Happy Trails, and all the lovely local guides and drivers who made our trip so special. We’ll be back.

Excellent booking experience for our Indonesia trip with Ella. Ella went above and beyond to tailor the trip to our budget and interests. She was so patient and altered the itinerary several times for us till it perfectly fitted our time frame and interests. Looking forward to our trip.

The simple question 'Are we too late to book South Africa for Christmas?' turned into a booking 48 hours later!
Great job by Miles in very quickly generating a good itinerary to kick around, then listening to specific requests, amending and finalising with local agents in no time at all. Painless! Rickshaw provided a really fantastic experience for our family across Thailand, Emma helped to identify the best places to go at that time of year and then created an itinerary for us that was great for the whole family. Would definitely use them again when we are next off on our adventures.

Hannah at Rickshaw has helped us to have the holiday of a lifetime. She has been patient and thoughtful to guide us through planning our trip which was not an easy task given the uncertainty surrounding how many family members would be able to make it on the day.
