We recently completed the purchase of our new home with Rupert Wood, and we couldn't be happier with the service we received.

From the very beginning, communication was excellent. We were kept informed throughout every stage of the transaction, and any questions or concerns we had were answered promptly and clearly. Buying a property can be a stressful experience, but the support and guidance we received made the whole process much smoother.

The team was always professional, approachable and responsive. We felt well looked after from start to finish and always had confidence that our purchase was progressing in the right direction.

For us, this purchase meant far more than simply buying a house. It marked the beginning of a new chapter in our lives after a very difficult period, and we are incredibly grateful for the support we received in helping us reach this milestone.

We have had some horrendous experiences with conveyance solicitors in the past but working with Rupert Wood was completely different.

Michelle's work was of the highest possible caliber and she was supported by Ellie and Ellena who kept us up to date throughout the whole process, meaning we never had to chase for updates and felt like we could rely on the team to push things through as quickly as possible.

Completion week was a nightmare, having to reschedule the moving van because the assistant and solicitor didn't pass on messages to eachother!
Just think they should be more careful not to make mistakes, they kept getting me mixed up with other clients.
Also a solicitor going on holiday and not having any progress over that period is a joke. I get that they need holidays but not when your close to completion and it delays clients lives.
I wonder if they take on to many clients at the same time, lost paperwork, silly mistakes.

Still not as bad as my last solicitors. I appreciate the work that was put in to fix all the issues

As first time buyers, we had issues with our previous Solicitors. We instructed Rupert Wood to take over our case and they handled everything brilliantly. Michelle and Ellena handled our case and they were great. Rupert Wood was recommended to us by our financial advisor, and frankly they were brilliant from start to finish. The work was of the highest level, and dealing with the staff was a real joy. In particular, Ellena Quinlan was incredibly helpful, returned our calls and was always highly personable. We are exceptionally pleased with the level of the service we received.

We used RWS for the conveyancing of our house. The purchase was successfull, but we had to constantly chase the solicitor. They did not do some of their previously agreed jobs without reminders. I suppose, the countless issues we had with their communication is just a consequence of their procrastination.
In general, their communication was not great, and definitely not proactive: the response time to emails was long; it was not clear what was happening, what we were waiting for, and what would be the next step; there was no transparency about additional costs/fees.

Fortunately, when they finally did their tasks, they did a good job (as far as we can tell).

The final price we paid was a lot more than in the original agreement. We understand that some extra was needed, but we also had to pay more than twice for the surveyor's "our fees" without any clear reason.

The communication throughout the whole process was amazing and no question was too much trouble. I would recommend them to anyone. Made the process of purchasing a house straightforward with amazing and friendly communication throughout.

I had a very disappointing experience with Rupert Wood and Son. The handling of paperwork was both slow and careless—documents were completed late and, in some cases, not filled out properly, which caused unnecessary stress and delays.

Communication was also extremely poor throughout the process. There was a clear lack of updates and responsiveness, not just with me but also with the previous owner, which made the situation even more frustrating.

Overall, the service fell well below expectations, and I wouldn’t choose to use them again.
