Hi still waiting for my shoes to be delivered , lots of promises , but no sign of the shoes I ordered and no sign of my money , this is a shambles . I would not recommend this company

Ordered a pair of classic shoe in oxblood.
Took little over a week to arrive with a helpful email update from Samantha at the company. Much appreciated.
Top quality shoe and perfect fit, I ordered my normal shoe size.
At these bargain sale prices delivery can be up to 18 days, but really worth the wait.
5***** from me !

So why does it take a closing down sale to turn what was a very good service into a very bad one?
I ordered a pair of chinos and two cashmere mix jumpers. Paid upfront. Nondelivery prompted a Hermes special delivery but only chinos arrived. No jumpers and no explanation. I've had to return the chinos owing to fit and requested a full refund for all three items.

15 days on from my purchase and I only rcemtly received a generic email telling it could take 21days to send me my purchases. I phoned previously but was stonewalled. I have now just discovered they charged me over £2 as a service charge and then 37p for the call for me to phone them. Beware hidden charges. Why should I be charged a service fee to phone them up.
I do wonder what will go wrong with the delivery.
I fully understand now why they are closing down.

Today is 21 July. Where is it please?

Ordered two pairs of shoes a few weeks ago and just turned up today. One email to customer services which got a quick response and the shoes are here and meet expectations.

I think they are just really busy and a little patience is required.

Retuned 2 items for a refund on 6 June. I have chased for a refund which was promised on 7th July. Still nothing after 6 weeks. I would be very wary of buying anything from them in their closing down sale because if you have to return items it doesn't look like they're giving out refunds.

Excellent company,always received excellent service.We ordered over two weeks ago,funds showing as taken yesterday.The company when originally taking payments get authorisation but is taken when parcel is being sent out.Have spoken to a customer care assistant at Samuel Windsor who apologised profusely and said that they are totally undated with orders and working as hard as possible to get orders out.Please be patient,goods are being sent out.I wish the owners a good retirement and will miss this shop immensely.Good quality clothing.

Ordered from SW on the 6th July but never heard from them since contacted them on email twice but no reply the payment was pending for awhile in my bank account now this morning I see they have suddenly taken the monies just holding my breath that I receive the items I have now paid for, they could at least have the decency to reply to customers that have given them the business over the years instead of treating them like rubbish. Would strongly advise not to order from this company. I placed my order over 4 weeks ago and I am still waiting for the shoes to be delivered. They do not respond to emails and or answer the telephone while it’s charging you each minute you stay on the line. I wish I checked the reviews before using this company.

Bought 5 pairs of shoes for partner as they are ‘closing down’ and deals seemed good if quality was reasonably genuine. Whether or not they are genuinely winding things up the shoes have arrived today after a couple of weeks (I honestly expected it to be longer given the statement on their website) and partner is happy with the fit (a surprise given his wide and big feet) and I am happy with the quality. I wouldn’t say they were necessarily worth their stated RRP but are unquestionably better made than many you would buy from familiar highs street names and are shoes you could get properly repaired at a cobbler when they’ve been well used - that is worth a lot. Indeed, they aren’t Loake or equivalent, but they look good and if well looked after, they will last you a fair while and for £25 a pair. If you’re in a hurry, perhaps buy from Next, I think they were worth the wait.

the worst company you could possibly do business with, no customer service. long long delays in order delivery.

My situation is the same as most others. I placed an order with SW at the beginning of July for many items that they had in stock, I paid with credit card, was told it might take up to seven days for delivery, and its now 19th July and still no delivery.
When you email you just get automated reply, they never answer the phone.
My worry is why are they still advertising and taking money off people knowing they are not going to supply !
It's fraud surely
They should be reported !!

Their latest closing down brochure is a joke. I tried buy 8 items from underpants, socks through to shoes. Not one item was available and when I phoned to register a protest nobody bothered answer the phone and I hung up after 5 minutes.

I have been buying clothing and shoes from Samuel Windsor for over 4 years and apart from one glitch, which was quickly resolved by Samuel Windsor, I have always been highly satisfied by the products and service which I have received from them. Like some other reviewers, I am currently awaiting delivery of a number of items that I have purchased from their closing down sale. The items may arrive yet, but if they don't I am not prepared to blacken the good name of Samuel Windsor, particularly if they have been going through a bad patch, as I have received such excellent service and goods from them in the past. I am sorry they are closing down and will miss them a greatly.

Stop ordering.The Company is being dissolved.
I ordered shoes 15 days ago, money was taken then kicked back into my account 7 days ago. No explanation given, 2 emails sent asking the obvious, no response at all. It’s clear they are cutting down on personnel to staff their customer services. I got my money back, you may not be so lucky when the creditors are at the door. It’s been a good Company that sold quality goods but it’s time to bid it farewell.

Avoid do not purchase anything at this stage.I ordered beginning of June was told would get or 7 days later still nothing. Numerous calls just been told lies. Check online states my order complete I have received nothing. Court application been applied for to recover my money. Very very sad as used this company a lot over last 6 years. Called few days ago giving one last chance said they had avback log in warehouse short staff. Taken over 6 weeks to get an order that was in stock? Taken my money nothing in return. Please avoid I don’t want anyone being disappointed or treated like this disgraceful.

After a long time away, and with my last pair of SW shoes on the way out, I decided to order 3 pairs. There was a delivery mix up, which was quickly sorted out by SW. (Don't bother trying to contact Hermes, the delivery company, they make it next to impossible !) All the shoes came well packaged, with a free shoe horn in each box, and spare laces where applicable. They were a perfect fit and very comfortable, not like my first experience when I had to keep returning a pair for sizing issues. These look really good and I hope they prove as durable as my last pairs, as it looks like SW might not be around when I need replacements. Who else can deliver 3 pairs of all leather shoes to your door for £80 ?

I have just bought another pair of mules from you. I was so satisfied with the first pair I have decided to relegate them for outdoor use exclusively. My new ones will be my slippers.
However, and here's the sad bit, you say they are British designed, using British lasts, but you have glaringly omitted to say where they were made. There is an element of deceit there. I am now suspicious. Where they are made should be in your printed catalogue, because if anything is made in China I can then avoid it. It should be obvious to anyone that China poses a major threat to the Wester world, never mind the terrible atrocities the authorities there commit with regard to their own people.

I am only provided 2 Stars because SW do not ship to Canada. I live in Toronto and there is a gap in the menswear market for a provider online of good quality and reasonably priced items. I understand that SW has faced problems with couriers. I use the UK firm RAPHA Cycling to get all my cycling kit from the UK and have not experienced any issues with deliveries and they even bake in customs duties into their overall pricing. I generally receive the items within 2-3 weeks. I do think SW could learn a lot from what Rapha and Charles Tyrwhitt are doing in the online space for North America. Canada may not be as big a market as the US but when you drill down the US market for these items is only east coast and even then probably not much bigger that the potential market in Toronto.
