I recently purchased 3 Schellenberg Roller shutter drives to automate my rollers and to integrate them into my Google Home system. Schellenberg states on the packaging of its products that Google Home integration is possible. It also mentions that this is only possible by using the optional ‘Smart Friends’ gateway hub. No sooner said than done, I went ahead and bought the relatively expensive Smart Friends box. After setting it up, everything worked perfectly, both via the Smart Friends app and also via Google Home.
That is, until, about two months after purchase, Google suddenly stopped working. After contacting Schellenberg, I was informed that Smart Friends had gone into administration and the servers were offline. Their partner has therefore gone bankrupt and, to date, there is no viable alternative. The Smart Friends app in the Play Store has also suddenly disappeared! If you change your phone, you can’t even control or programme anything via the app on your own network!
There you are then! Schellenberg promised to work on an alternative, but after two months this is still not the case! I feel cheated and let down by Schellenberg. I was offered no compensation, nothing! Subscribing to our newsletter (which, by the way, is only available in German) was the only suggestion. No more Schellenberg for me! I wish I’d looked at Somfy instead.

Bought Insectsystem action 70930 mosquito net door kit and while assembling broke two crucial plastic fittings that joint the aluminium frame together. Contacted support about getting two replacement parts and they basically said they don't have this part as spare part in stock and proceeded to suggest I complain at the store I bought it. They are the manufacturers for gods sake! First and last time I buy a product from this brand.
