Hi Adam,

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, as discussed through our email conversation, I understand and sympathise with your frustrations - it's frustrating for us too having encountered these issues where we would love to provide an excellent customer experience.

I'm sorry again for the issue encountered where your order hadn't gone through to printing as expected due to an error with one of the cards in the order - The printing of orders is supposed to be automated so they would go through to the next stage for printing without supervision - unfortunately that meant that this error had slipped through.

Thank you for bringing that to our attention - we were able to communicate with you a few hours after on the same day as your email was sent across to us (Feb 4th) to explain this error, and gave the option of a refund/resend - the refund was requested and actioned today (5th Feb).

It would never be the intention of ours to keep money for an unfulfilled order, and we acted promptly once we were aware of this issue. As mentioned in our email conversation, I'd like to apologise on behalf of the whole Scribbler team for any inconvenience that this would have caused. I hope you have a lovely rest of the day.

Hi there Matt,

Please can I refer you to our email reply regarding this. At no point was it referenced that we would like you to reuse the original envelope for your order.

Within our conversation the packing mistake was apologised for and we had arranged for the correct amount of envelopes to be sent out free of charge for you, as well as a £5 voucher being sent across as an apology for this error.

Many thanks for your email and I am so sorry to find out that your order arrived without the envelope requested. I can see that the correct option was selected in the basket when ordering so this does appear to be a packing error.


Our print team are normally meticulous in preparing orders, but occasionally errors can happen, so I do apologise for this being missed from your order. I've arranged with the team for this to be sent out today to arrive with you ASAP.


As an apology for this mishap, please see below a discount code that will entitle you to £5 off products in a future order:

Thanks for getting in touch!

We appreciate you raising these concerns and are sorry to hear that you had an uncomfortable experience in one of our stores. We’ve built our brand based on cheeky and irreverent humour aimed at a mature audience, due to this we aren't a 'family' shop and thus advisory is used in store for customers who may not appreciate the products and for families visiting our stores.

The products in question are not meant to be targeted at children and due to the adult nature of some of these we expect parents to shop with their children at their own discretion. In the shop windows we have a big Parental Guidance sign and we also use PG warning signs in store.

Our card products are printed as advertised on our product pages with thick 350 GSM cardboard, with a matte finish using high quality vegetable ink. These allow us to be as environmentally friendly as possible as is our stance:

In store products may be printed with a glossy finish dependant on the supplier of the design.

Having a look at the order this review relates to, due to the quantity of cards in this order they would all be sent in a card backed envelope and would have been left unfolded to avoid damage on transit - the folding line would have still been made so this should allow you to fold the cards to the same quality expected.

All envelopes should be made to fit the respective card size, I'm sorry to hear that may not have been the case with your order, perhaps you had accidentally been sent the incorrect envelope.

I'm sorry to hear about this issue with your order, as it was so close to the cut off point unfortunately it is possible that by the time the order had gone through to our printers that the cut off point had then passed, especially if any personalisation had been included.

I'm sorry for the delay and any inconvenience that this may have caused.
