Delivery drivers were unable to build sofas, had no tools or clue what they were doing, been left with 1 sofa half finished and 1 not built at all, waiting on after care team to come and finish the job, absolute joke.

Great experience in the Livingston…
Great experience in the Livingston store. Lady was very helpful, definitely 5 stars. Delivery guys were great. Cannot fault them. Again 5 star service. Order tracking was very useful. So why only 4 stars, sadly waited in 2 days for delivery cancelled at end of the day. Pleased to say on 3rd occasion chairs arrived.
Delivery arranged , time emails are no help
Delivery arranged, stayed in all day only to get email to say was Not coming, rearranged another date, again stayed in all day and still waiting at 5.50pm when time was 1.15 and has got later all the time, but they could have said that at start

Shocking Customer Service
Can someone please advise either a contact number that we can actually speak to someone or an email address that we can send our formal complaint to. We have been trying since the 24th November to get an answer on an order placed in September that was due for delivery in late October,the delivery was rescheduled and my mother passed away before the sofa was delivered, despite many emails and phone calls to the store we have no resolution.

Utter fiasco after the furnature was ordered.
I went to Scs Livinston to order a two seater recliner for my livingroom and a small two seater couch with matching armchair for my conservatory, I was served by Lorraine who was extremely helpful and patient as I had limited space in the conservatory she suggested the perfect couch and chair so I placed my order on 6th Aug 25. I was notified my delivery would be 25th Oct so I got rid of my old furniature on 24th. On 25th I was ready and waiting, got an update with a time of aprox. 2.30, I checked at 1.45 and was stunned to read they could not deliver as I wasnt in!! They had been and gone in 3mins but when I checked on neighbours door cam there was no sign of a van! I phoned the shop immediately but they said they couldnt phone the delivery man as they didnt have a phone number for them! To rearrange a delivery it would be 7th Nov or use their private courier which would cost me £119 cash! For 29th Oct. I had to go with that option or sit on the floor for a couple of weeks.
The private courier arrived at exactly time stated but there was still problems, gliders were missing for recliner, so was a powerpack, it had one but needs two, the screws to attach the legs to the small couch were missing, so was the care kit I ordered!
I paid him the £119 and phoned SCS to inform them of all the missing parts, the screws had to come from Italy, the power pack was coming from the recliner manufacturer. The gliders would be posted to me and the courier had given me a care kit out his van.
Finally got the legs put on the couch on 18th Nov. The power pack too was eventually delivered. I am really happy with the furniture but the fiasco I had to go through was utterly laughable! Oh, I was also refunded the cash I paid the courier. I dont think I will ever be back in SCS, far too much hassle and stress!

Avoid
Failed delivery multiple times and delayed with no communication. Communication with the company absolutely terrible, on hold for hours and being cut off, also being bounced from person to person with no results. No compensation at all for issues that were due to the company not me. Having to pay out extra from my own pocket to get the sofa delivered weeks after it was first scheduled for delivery. Failed to refund delivery cost even through written correspondence from SCS themselves. Over a month later and still no resolution to refund costs. Kept blaming the distribution centre saying they were busy. Day the sofa arrived from the in house person I had paid extra for said they’d spent 2 days in the distribution centre trying to locate my sofa.

Do not order from SCS!
Ordered a corner sofa which was delivered on the 2nd delivery date. First delivery date was cancelled with less than 48 hours notice. Immediately on delivery I noticed the sofa was defective, scratches on the fabric and all the cushions misshapen and under padded. Sofa like its 10 years old not brand new, very poorly made. Delivery drivers have damaged my skirting boards and walls.
Phoned immediately to report the damage to my property and the defective sofa. Provided photos of both the damage to the walls and sofa. Told them I want a refund as it my right under the comsumer rights act. Apparently the law does not apply to SCS and my only option is to allow one for their engineers to come out 6 weeks after delivery who will then inspect and decide if they believe it to be faulty. The delivery was subcontracted to a another company and SCS is not taking any responsibility for the damage they have caused to my property. If you are considering ordering from this appalling company please look at the SCS complaints page on Facebook first.
Hundreds of customers with photos of their not fit for purpose sofas that SCS claim there is nothing wrong with. The warranty they sell you is not worth the paper its written on as no matter how defective the sofa is their "engineer" states that the damage to the substandard quality sofas are not a manufacturing fault.
The worst company I have ever dealt with please don't waste your money on their poor quality products and awful customer service.
The only positive thing was the lady in the store when I initially went in to choose a sofa was very helpful with selecting fabrics etc. Unfortunately all down hill after this, damaged sofa and very poor after sales support. Clearly once SCS have your money they couldn't care less about their customers.

Deliveries failed
Staff at shop were brilliant especially Ashley she helped us a lot and provided much needed information but delivery’s were not good, two attempts and sofa still not in my living room. Took me 10 minutes with my 15 old son to get sofa in without any problems!!!

Very poor customer service
The one star is for the lady who placed my order. She was very pleasant and friendly.
After the order was placed the service was terrible.
I was given 3 different delivery dates as they lost my sofa! And then, eventually when I was told they had found it and it was getting delivered they only turned up with one!! It took them another week to find the other. No one could give me a direct answer and some staff became very rude.

Twice there has been a no show on…
Twice there has been a no show on delivery date, finally delivered on the third time and the delivery guys have snapped the back door key in the lock. I have now had to pay for a joiner to come and replace the lock and keys.

Excellent friendly delivery service
Excellent friendly delivery service. Kept fully advised on delivery arrangements and timescales prior to the crew’s arrival.
Care taken when bringing furniture upstairs, and in assembly.

Would have awarded zero if it was possible. All went well until the delivery. Arranged for delivery on Thursday 20/11/25 no delivery made and no contact from SCS. I contacted them, was told driver was "out of delivery hours" so couldn't deliver. A bit strange to send out a driver who wasn't allowed to drive! New delivery date agreed for Tuesday 25th. Only one of the two chairs were delivered. Had to contact scs again.Next delivery date available 2nd Dec agreed with contact centre. No confirmation sent to me so went to distribution centre (5 minutes away from my home) and was told the chair would arrive at 4.15pm. It did not arrive. Went back to distribution centre on 3rd Dec and was told it would be delivered as priority by 12 noon at the latest. It did not arrive. Went back to delivery centre and was told it was out for delivery. They had to contact the driver to make sure he was on his way (all of 5 minutes from distribution centre to delivery address). It was eventually delivered that day.
Their internal communications seem to be even worse than their communication with customers.
The showroom (Livingston) has no part to play after the sale is made and delivery date given, though customer services continually referred me to them.
The Customer Service team - which I spent over 8 hours on the telephone to - although trying to be helpful seem to only deal with booking deliveries.
The distribution Centre appear to be a law unto themselves as they never answered any calls made to them either by me or the customer service team.
During my two visits to the distribution centre office I noticed that the phone never rang once. I can only assume it is constantly on mute.
The initial sales experience was good but everything after that was dreadful. I will absolutley NOT go anywhere near SCS again. Seems to be once they have your money they don't care.

So the saga continues 3 days of…
So the saga continues after 3 days of being lied to by Deputy management and Distribution Manager we received a delivery on the fourth day. As we were at work a family member took delivery of a sofa. Sent us pictures of the sofa and to our utter astonishment and anger it was the wrong sofa. Some now have someone else’s sofa and god only knows where our sofa is. Absolutely never will deal with SCS again. Please be careful when choosing to use this company.

this company does well in explaining…
this company does well in explaining the process of buying a suite ,the salesman was very patient and friendly . The delivery guys were great, very professional set everything up in no time at all . However the next morning i switched on the power again to my chair and nothing happened , no power was evident . I phoned the retailer and was told i would have to fill in a form online and submit photographs which is no good to me as i am a pensioner and not tech savvy .Had to call again and i got a lovely young woman who dealt with the situation no problem. I just hope the company follows through . this is very upsetting and should not happen in the first place .
Absolutely shocking experience from…
Absolutely shocking experience from SCS. It’s 20 days until Christmas, we have 4 young children & zero couch.
Kept updated until Thursday 2nd December, phoned and told us that the couch would be delivered the following day (Friday 5th December 2025). It is now Saturday 6th December and after contacting SCS multiple times, they can’t seem to tell us where our couch is. According to the notes on the tracking link we were given the couch was never loaded onto the van and had been cancelled, so therefore why were we never informed about this?!
We watched the van on the tracker deliver to a house 5 minutes from ours to then head away in a completely different direction to their distribution centre!
