OK but not great
Generally, the trip went off without a significant problem. Our driver was very pleasant, and a safe driver, somewhat a rarity in India. However, his English was below the level, we expected he tried, we tried, and we made it work, but not perfectly. There are series of situations where we felt we got somewhat less than we expected. For example, one of the reasons we chose a particular hotel was for its menu but once we got there, we were told we could not use them menu. We had to use the buffet for all meals , in another hotel, which we had upgraded to as a five star hotel, it appears we were given the worst room in the hotel at least a quarter of a mile from the beach. We did not feel that we had really been informed about the many many hours of driving over very bad roads. If we had known that we might have modified our trip.
