I recently ordered a bath replacement…
I recently ordered a bath replacement shower tray and screen from Shower Trays UK. This was to replace an old bath, with a much more usable shower for my Mother. Delivery was as expected, one item wasn't available but that was resolved. The tray went in with no issues, but when the installer unpackaged and lifted the shower screen it instantly went from a single piece of toughened glass to about 20000 cubes of toughened glass that coverd the hallway floor and some embeded themselves in the installer's legs. After the glass was cleaned up I made a somewhat hopeful call to Shower Trays UK to see if they were able to do anything as I was sure that the issue must have been a manufacturing problem. Once I had supplied pictures Shower Trays UK were able to provide a replacement screen. Top marks for customer service - Special shout out to Tanyka Campbell for excellent customer service.

Five Star Performance
This is the first time I have dealt with Shower Trays UK, and I would definitely buy from them again. The website is easy to use, communication from them is very good throughout the whole delivery process, with the ability to track your delivery man's progress on delivery day right up to your front door, in real time. Our driver was very helpful & friendly, and even passed on some useful advice to my installer!
The products ordered, a shower door & tray, are of first class quality and came at a very competitive price. Five stars awarded from me for a 5 star performance from them!

Poor Customer Service & Customer Attitude
On the 16th June 2024 I ordered a vanity unit and basin paid normal courier charge 5-7 days. On 17th June 2024 I received an email stating product should be with me in 1-3. I thought result, great stuff. After not hearing anything for a few days I rang and spoke to a female. She wasn't able to help straight away and had to ring the supplier. She then explained the item was out of stock and MIGHT be back in stock on Friday. I explained that I thought the item was going to be with me in 1-3 as per the company issued email. She then stated 'What do you expect me to do about it?' Overall this 'lady' sounded like she didn't want to dealing with the public and certainly not in customer services. With the lack of customer service, contradictory email information, the company unaware of its own stock levels, I will not be putting myself through this again, I would strongly advise you to go elsewhere.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We welcome all feedback as this allows us to highlight areas within our business that may need attention or review.
Having looked into this, I can see your order was due to be fulfilled by our supplier. Their usual timescale for deliveries is 1-3 working days, so this was the information that we passed onto you. We were not advised until you chased the order that the item was out of stock and for this I can only apologise. It should not have been down to yourself to chase your delivery and we should have been more proactive in keeping you informed.
I can see the item was due to come back into stock a few days later meaning delivery would still have been within the 5-7 working day timescale you had selected. Unfortunately no date could be guaranteed as the supplier were also waiting for stock.
My colleague did explain this on the phone and apologised for the delay, but understandably you were disappointed with our service. I can appreciate this was not the outcome you would have wanted and we have let ourselves down on communication. I have listened to the call and I do believe that my colleague was polite and courteous when speaking with you. Unfortunately, we were unable to get the item to you any sooner so can understand you reason for cancelling the order.

The shower tray was badly packaged and…
The shower tray was badly packaged and broken on arrival. I was then informed that a replacement wouldn't be sent out because they no longer deliver to my area.
They did however refund promptly.

Firstly, I must apologise that the original shower tray was damaged. From looking into this I can see the order was delivered via a pallet courier. Due to the size and fragile nature of the product ordered, sending this out again had a high risk of damage which would have caused further delays and inconvenience. As we do not cover your area using our own vehicles, we did make the decision to not replace the product for which I am extremely sorry.
We aim to exceed customers expectations and I apologise that we have not done so on this occasion. We are reviewing our delivery services and will look at alternative suppliers for the larger shower trays to ensure deliveries can be fulfilled. We hope you do choose to shop with us again so we can give you the higher level of service we always aim for.

Sadly, our drivers are not insured to enter properties due to the risk of potential damage as many of our products are of a heavy and fragile nature and should be handled with extreme care. Information on our kerbside delivery policy is displayed on our website and clarified in your delivery email. We appreciate this can cause an inconvenience to our customers, but we can assure you this is never our intention and aim to be as transparent as possible before an order is placed.

Postage and packing expensive
I have used these twice now, been great, but the postage is extortionate, I had two lengths of aluminium, from aluminium online, sent within two days £12.50😁 but two pieces from these £29.00 I would change courier, it would not be so bad but it's going to take a week, yes I know it's in your terms, but come on, for that price you would think it would be 48hours, I would off given five stars, but postage, puts me off a little, 😞

Non-existent customer service
After trying to place a B2B order with this company for several weeks now, I am still in limbo. Granted it's slightly more complicated, but the sales team customer service is just non-existent. They make promises, then don't keep them and what answers they do provide you with are misinformed or hot air. They promise to fulfil an order and make call backs, then never do. Do you not want the business? Having even spoken with a director of the company, who although replied to my initial email has not done anything to resolve the matter yet, in full knowledge of how long I've been waiting and the issues I've had. My order remains incomplete. The incompetence is systemic.

I'm extremely sorry to hear you have not had a positive experience when looking to place an order with us. Having looked into this further, I can appreciate your feelings of disappointment. In honesty, the initial miscommunication on our part is due to a lack of experience in this type of order. After further investigation and research, we found that we could fulfill the order to your requirements.
I can see you have spoken with our director who did respond to you via email on the 10th advising if you did want to place an order, we can make the necessary amendments to the order once the item has been delivered with proof of delivery to the location you specified. I apologise if there has been no further communication from our side on this, but we were waiting for an order to be placed.
If this email has not been received please let us know and this can be resent. This email would not have come from the sales team you initially dealt with, but from our director who spoke with you later.
We aim to exceed our customers expectations and understand that we have failed to do so. We will use this as a learning curve and as we are now more knowledgeable on this type of order, hopefully we do not have a similar instance in the future. I can only apologise for your experience.

The tray came right on time and did not have to wait long for the date of delivery. I haven't opened it yet, it is for my sister's bathroom which will be installed soon! Good service all round.

Great delivery. Below standard tray.
Delivery was communicated well and delivered at the time scale promised.
However the tray itself was not flat at the bottom and required grinding to get it to seat properly.

Due to the way the shower trays are manufactured, the underside will have a design in the stone resin that creates "air pockets" that will form a suction between the shower base and the sand and cement mixture advised to install with. I can't see any communication from you since delivery, so I do hope any issues were resolved and you are happy with the product quality.
