Stored my things for 2 months and…

Stored my things for 2 months and covered and destroyed by mice and rat feces and urine. They built homes in my furniture! Steer very clear! I’ve rented a lot of storage places and never had this happen! They had corn feed stored next door and it spewed over to my unit!!

GO ANYHWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!!!!!!!!!

The District manager is not very bright and NOT helpful. The only thing they know how to do well is raise prices. DO NOT STORE YOUR THINGS AT THIS LOCATION!!!!!!! Save yourself from the frustrations of dealing with the people at this location or Company for that matter.

Late Fee's Every Month regardless if on time

I rented a storage in Southaven. It has been a nightmare. The price has changed 3 times in 3 months. The staff is NEVER on-site. I drop my check off early in the outside night drop. Again NO one is there. They have charged me late fees and I'm never late. I tried to discuss it over the phone a couple of times with NO avail..yet again I'm called with a late fee and paid yesterday. It is not late until after the 5th. I do not recommend this place at all. It looks nice and is if you want to double pay what they promised. One person told me to give a 30-day notice today I was told to give a 15 day notice. One said pay before the 5th one said by the end of work day on the 5th. They don't know what they are doing so how does the consumer know what to do? Pathetic. I will move my stuff OUT and will make sure that EVERYBODY knows to not rent there.

Absolutely a horrible company

Absolutely a horrible company. After only 5 months of renting a unit they raised the rent by almost 30%, from $305 to $388. If I were a new customer I would only pay $239 for the same sized unit. So now they will lose someone who was willing to pay $305 and have to rent it for less money to someone else, bad business model. I used to rent at a Public Storage and after 2 years the rent only rose 8%, even though it is not close to me I will be going back to a Public Storage.

Horrible Rate Increase

We stored our belongings in one of the 10x20 units at Saline, MI in December 2022. Six months later we got a rate increase of 32%. Inflation didn't increase anywhere near that much. I'd move it to another storage facility but we are on a church mission in Utah. Beware, they change pricing every 6 months.

Don't do it.

A little over 6 weeks ago I visited my unit at Simply Self Storage on Fisher Rd. and saw that someone else had put a lock on my
unit next to my lock, locking me out of having access to my belongings. I notified the manager that there was someone else's
lock on my unit and she came out to inspect it. We observed a unit two doors down that had the door open and was empty. The
manager stated that they had probably put their lock on my unit as a joke when they left. She then told me it would cost me $50 to have the lock cut off by their contractor. I asked to look back at the cameras to see if we could see if the person could be identified. The employee stated that the cameras only captured back the last two weeks and that it would be pointless to review the video. I told her I wasn't paying for the lock to be cut off. There was no word following this until I had my bank decline their charge. I put a call into their corporate office (which is only a voice-mail that gets forwarded to the regional manager) who finally agreed to waive the cost of cutting the lock. When I called to schedule the cut, a male employee informed me my March rent would be waived in addition to the lock cost. When I went in to remedy the locks, I was told I would have to pay the full amount plus a late charge in addition to nearly being accused of placing the other lock on myself. A call back to the corporate number garnered an email from the regional mgr deflecting blame about my property being secure and "graciously" waived the late fee. I should not be charged for time I didn't have access to my belongings.

Company’s poor customer service

If I could do a negative I would. I rented the units in 2018. When I signed the fee was less than $250. Almost immediately I saw the charge go up. My rent by this year is $562.00 a month. The pandemic affected my ability to remove my items sooner. What I was told is that every six months the rent goes up. This is not made clear in the contract. Although the cooperate office voice record says I will get a call back within 24hr that has never happened.
Nothing positive I could say about this company, from unanswered calls at all levels to rates going up.
Don’t rent from this company.

Simply storage in the design district…

Simply storage in the design district on slocum rent increased twice within 8 months. I understand an increase may be needed due to economy but also understand the consumer and maybe increase annually and not twice within a year.

The most unethical business ever dealt with

This is the most unprofessional, unethical business I have ever encountered. The reginal manager at this location is a profane maniac calling customers and there families making threats and shouting profanities like I have never heard from a "professional" manager. This person needs her head examined and I am personally considering legal action for fraud and unethical business practices

We are using Simply Storage in…Woodbury MN

We are using Simply Storage in Woodbury, MN. They are excellent!! The woman who helped with the reservation on the phone was very kind and helpful and the gentleman at our local location was also the most kind, helpful and patient with us! We would defintely recommend them!! Easy to work with and a super nice and clean facility.

Emma - very kind and relatable

Emma is very kind and relatable. Everything was explained in full before consenting to lease. An accompanied walk to the unit and security measures were explained, including operational hours.

A very distasteful experience

A very distasteful experience. They charged me for the 30 days I could not open my space (Hurricane Maria) and when I left they charged 9 more days because they did not closed the account. I told the manager I was leaving at the end of the month and did not tell me to close the account. Anyway there was nobody there to tell that my space was available. I had to go there many times and no one was there because there was no power and learned the manager was at the Catano storage (other facility). I had to go there many more times since the handyman to open the door of my space was there sometimes mon or wed or tue and thurs without any notice at the door. I learned about the extra charges because I received a collection letter from Federated Collection Bureau (they try to make the impression that are from the federal government) thretening to report this to the credit reporting agencies. There was no contact whatsoever from the storage company when they have my phone number, my email and my address. very bad experience.

Horrible storage facility has rat and raccoon and bird problem you items will be covered in ANIMAL POOP CEILING FALLING DOWN THEN WHEN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM THAT ARENT RESOLVED WITH ONSITE MANAGER CORPORATE WONT RETURN YOUR CALL STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORAGE FACILITY AT ALL COST UNLESS YOU LIKE YOUR STUFF BEING RUINED AND POOPED AND URINATED ON!!!!!M

Great service De ham Springs

I moved towards and needed a storage. I stop at simply and was greeted by Jodi . She was most help and nice to me and my wife. I stayed at storage for a few months till house was ready. I have told everyone I know to go there . It is very clean and professional run.
